This was a really interesting read. I enjoyed seeing the competitiveness between the real estate agents while trying to guess the mystery that was going on through the book. The setting was also fab and I could really imagine the beach house and the other places described.
This was told from multiple pov so did take me a little bit to remember who all the diff characters where but as soon as I did ami just flew through this and didn’t want to put it down.
Another top notch book by Lisa Gray who has now become one of my go to authors.

Thanks to NetGalley for the chance to read this ARC.

Hot diggity! Where to start with describing To Die For? The first I’ve read by Lisa Gray, one thing I know for sure is that this one definitely won’t be my last. There was plenty to love and very little to dislike, so let’s get started, shall we?

Right off the bat, one of my favorite aspects was the cast of characters. From a few you’ll love to hate to some you’ll happily rally behind, the multiple POVs drew a fantastically complete picture including plenty of secrets and lies. As if that wasn’t enough, the dual timelines kept me guessing as the suspense continued to build.

One minor flaw that I found, however, was tied to this, for the high number of named characters and backstories throughout became somewhat overwhelming. Unfortunately, there was so much information that it muddied the plot a bit and left me scratching my head several times. Did it ruin the book for me? Not a chance! But it was, sadly, somewhat distracting.

Now back to those pluses! Namely some truly epic twists. While I may have predicted one or two, the rest created a story utterly riveting and wholly unputdownable. It was so enjoyable, in fact, that I read the entire novel in just under a day from start to finish. Even better, one particular twist was saved for the very end, which provided a satisfactory conclusion to say the least (and one that I totally didn’t see coming). Bravo, Ms. Gray, bravo!

But I simply cannot end this review without mentioning the first-rate premise. Breathtakingly original, it automatically brought to mind those reality TV shows like Selling LA and magically turned it into a mysterious murder mystery. And this quick, easy read was complete with plenty of deep, dark secrets providing tons of possible suspects each with their own devious motives. The only problem it has left me with now is which of Lisa Gray’s books to read next. Because this psychological thriller/police procedural definitely left me wanting more by this author ASAP. Rating of 4 stars.

Trigger warning: infertility, infidelity, blackmail, gambling addiction, cancer, assault, robbery, stalking, spousal abuse, mention of: alcoholism

This is a thrilling novel that will keep readers on the edge of their seats from beginning to end. The story follows five ambitious real estate agents as they compete for the chance to sell a luxurious beachfront property in Malibu, with a $1 million bonus on the line. However, things take a sinister turn when a dead body is discovered in the property's pool on the day of the open house.
Told from six different points of view, the story is divided into "Before" and "After" sections, providing readers with a deep dive into the characters' backgrounds, motivations, and secrets. The author's engaging writing style and atmospheric descriptions of Los Angeles will make readers feel like they are right in the heart of the city.
The competition between the agents is intense, and the author does an excellent job of highlighting the characters' sharp teeth of ambition and their dirty tricks. The pace of the story is fast, making it an easy and enjoyable read. The multiple twists and turns of the plot keep readers guessing until the very end.
Overall, “To die for “is an excellent choice for readers who enjoy thrilling mysteries and complex characters.

Real estate has alway been a cut throat business. With commission up for grabs on a multimillion dollar property the stakes are high. The agents will stop at nothing from making that big sale to land the mega bucks pay say. Back stabbing. Selling yourself. Lies and murder.
Who will be the victim and who will be the ,urderer.
A book that keeps hanging on to find who the victim is. Alongside some pretty dislikable character. This all adds up to a terrific read.
Many thanks to Netgalley and the publishers for the opportunity to see an ARC

Love love loved this book!!
I couldn’t help picture the show Selling Sunset while reading this. Loved the story line of all five of the agents and how far they would go for the commission of a $1 million.

Very entertaining!! The twist and the end! Wow chefs kiss!! Amazing!!!

The age old question of what you would do for a cool million becomes a murder mystery in this novel. We follow Andi who is a realtor at David and Diana’s agency. They want the team to find a buyer for their new listing. Whoever does will walk away with 1m in commission.

I didn’t connect to Andi, I found the characters well written but like the rest of the plot a little chaotic,

This will be a much loved beach read!

Being a huge Lisa Gray fan, I was grateful to receive an advanced reader's copy of this book from NetGalley. Whilst To Die For didn’t have the gritty thriller feel I’ve come to love with the Jessica Shaw series, I was still intrigued with the luxe real estate/murder mystery angle. The big cast of unlikeable characters made the storyline too convoluted for my taste but I persevered. Overall a four star read.

I just finished reading "To Die For" by Lisa Gray. Thanks to NetGalley and Amazon Publishing for the advanced copy in return for an honest review.
This novel follows the lives of a real estate company who receives a lucrative offer to find a buyer for a very expensive home in Malibu. Whoever finds a buyer will receive a 1 million dollar commission. All agents are eager to get the commision but one agent in particular, Andi, is the focus of the novel. For some reason her boss wants and expects her to find a buyer and the reader is given tiny hints throughout the novel as to why. The other agents play a supporting role and show how fierce the competition is in the housing market and what agents will do to get the ultimate prize.
Andi is a likeable and mysterious character who has a back story that is slowly told throughout the novel and questions about her and her motivation are explained. The rest of the agents play supportive roles but they are, in my opinion stereotypical side characters who are not very likeable at all. There are a few interesting plot twists, but non that surprised me. The ending managed to tie all the plot lines up and revealed the big mystery to me satisfaction.
I liked the police characters in the book. They provided comic relief and excitement. I didn't like the lack of depth of the side characters.
I didn't find this book overwhelmingly good or bad. It was alright. Enough suspense to keep me interested, but easily forgotten.
I liked the premise of the book but the execution could have been better. The characters , like I said before, were too clliche to be intersting in any way.
Thanks for reading.

5/5 Stars

To Die For has the pace, suspense and mystery that hooked me quick and kept me up long past bedtime to see what would happen next. This one has lots of different perspectives and storylines, but they don’t detract from the story.
I loved that even when I thought I had it all figured out, I was still surprised by the twists. Some of the secrets and drama felt easy to work out throughout the story, but didn’t detract from the hook for me.
This book is a great mystery/suspense when you’re looking for something that will pull you in without feeling gut wrenching or difficult to digest.
Honestly, I’m a weird way, it made me want to go into real estate.
HIGHLY recommend!

Who knew real estate could bring the drama? Well the author, Lisa Gray did! She brought to life just how cut throat the real e state industry can be. And when you add on a 1 million dollar commission, all bets were off!!

Saint Realty had no saints working on their payroll. All the agents were very lively and unlikeable. They all had there reasons for doing whatever it took to get their hands on that money. Andi, one of the agents, had enough of Saint Realty and needed that commission to make a fresh start on her own. But before she can moves forward she must confront her demons of her past.

Each characters story is told by them, so you know what exactly is on their agenda! I love this type of writing.

This novel has several twist and turns, some you will not see coming. When you think the murder is solved, think again!

This is my first novel from Lisa Gray, I will be adding her to my top author list.

This is a great summer read! Thank me later.

Think "Selling Sunset" but with the added twist of a murder. There is a 50 million dollar mansion for sale on the beach in Malibu and the agents who work for a brokerage company are all vying for the sale as they will get a 1 million dollar profit. Each agent has secrets and a need for the money. Along the way more is revealed about each character. This book has lots of twists and turns and I did not expect the ending. Part of the twist became predictable to me, there was much left to surprise. The story is told from multiple POVs. Initially the separate storylines were a bit hard for me to keep track of, but it became easier as the book went on. I have read one other book by this author and this one so far is my favorite. Highly recommend this fast paced murder mystery thriller!

Set in the glitzy world of the very rich, with huge and amazing mansions and more money than sense, This is the story of the sale of one of those houses. There are 4 agents who want to sell it and s/he who wins will get £1 million (probably dollars rather than pounds!) as their commission. No wonder dirty deals are done. The estate agents are plain nasty people who seemingly will stop at nothing to succeed. They all have secrets they'd rather keep. It wasn't that the story was badly written, it wasn't, but it just felt too faux to me all of the time and I really didn't care who 'won' or what happened to the house. If glitzy American world-of-the-rich appeals to you, you'll love it. Thanks to NetGalley and the publisher for an advance copy.

Thank you to NetGalley and the publisher for the ARC! To Die For will be released August 1st!

Andi Hart and the other realtors of Saint Realty Brokerage are tasked with selling the $50 million Malibu Beach Drive property. The selling agent will earn the $1 million commission. Each of the 5 competing realtors has to ask themselves “What would I do for a million dollars?” When a dead body is found at the brokers open the perfect home becomes a crime scene. The question becomes, “How far did someone go to really earn a million dollars?”

The story follows Andi Hart, a real estate agent, and the other 4 realtors she works with, Verona, Hunter, Krystal, and Myles, along with Detective Aribo. The book is written from multiple perspectives as well as multiple timelines, before and after the murder. I thought each perspective was well written and it was easy to tell whose chapter I was reading. All of the perspectives set up the motives and secrets for each of the realtors as well as their desperate need to win the money.

This book was a fast paced page-turner. Even with all the secrets and drama I never did guess the murderer! I really enjoyed this book!

This reminded me of "Selling Sunsets" but with a dark twist, where every character has their own secrets and a murder occurs - Would would these realtors truly do for a million dollars?

I loved the dual timelines and multiple POV's of this, the pacing was perfect for me as it was quite a quick read, I couldn't put it down. Every character was also so interesting with unique backstory's and secrets which slowly unravelled and ramped up the suspense. There was also loads of twists and red herring which kept me guessing, I couldn't guess who the culprit or victim was (I also loved the fact that the victim wasn't revealed until mid to 3/4 way through.) I have nothing bad to say about this, the writing was great and engaging and I thoroughly enjoyed reading this; I highly recommend and I will be checking out more by this author.

Andi Hart works for Saint Realty, along with her 4 other co-workers, and one of them is hoping to get a big payday. The house the company has acquired to sell is being listed for 50 million dollars, meaning the commission from the sale will be a payout of 1 million. Everybody wants that money but how far will they go to get it? The day of the open house, a body is discovered. Was someone willing to kill their competition or is there something else going on behind the scenes of selling this exorbitant mansion?

i was really impressed with this book! it was a creative story and not only is it a whodunit but you are also trying to figure out the “who is it”. you don’t find out who the victim is until you’re about 70% through the story. so you have all of these people acting sketchy because money makes people do crazy things, and it’s hard to figure out who had died let alone who killed them. once the deceased was named i thought i had put it together mostly but i was still very far off. short chapters, multiple POV, and fully engaging all the way through.

Thank you netgalley and amazon publishing UK for the ARC!
