Finished “Beginning of Forever” by Catherine Bybee today and have to say it was an excellent read especially for a cold day when you want some good company. This book gives you that good coming with very thoughtful characters and story line. Now I have to get the prior 2 titles and read them also.Emma and Gio are a couple that deserves a happy ending after the twist and turns to get to that ending. So glad that Emma appears to develop a relationship with the men in her family at the end.

This was an enjoyable read- had everything to get my attention, such as trips to Italy, wine, food, and romance! But it also surprised me with some additional depth as one of the main characters was diagnosed with an illness and went down the path of finding out more about it and how it would impact her life. I also enjoyed the themes of family and family reconciliation. I didn’t realize until after I was finished that it was part of a series- it can totally be read as a stand-alone novel, but you had better believe I have already purchased another book in this series!

Thanks so much to NetGalley and the publisher for the opportunity it’s to read an advance copy!

Emma + Gio

Gio's dream has always been to one day have a big family and own a little place where he can make his own wine.
Emma was born into a huge wine empire. But her dad only sees her as an unqualified female. So now she wants to have her own winery in Southern California. Far away from her dad in Napa.
Gio and Emma meet on a wine tasting group tour in Tuscany.
It's all sparks and wine and fun and amazing moments...
But can they have a future together? They kinda basically almost have the same dreams....

Let the fun times begin...

Another perfect love story in this adorable series.
I love the whole family vibe and the weeks in Italy were just amazing. I so wanted to join them in drinking all that wine and eating all that amazing food!
You'd think it would be so easy for Emma and Gio just to get together and live their dream winery lives... But it's not.
Emma is not dreaming of the big family with lots of kids. She just wants the wine and to prove to her idiot dad that she can do this.
And poor Gio. He wants exactly what he had growing up. The perfect family - and his own wine.
Plus we have a bit of a health scare too.
But we have the whole book to get to that happy end.
I really loved reading this.
I don't know what it is with me and wine country books. I just adore them. I'm not a big wine-drinking person at all - but those books are just totally my thing.

I so need to see this series on TV one day!
The people, the locations, the FOOD and wine....🍷🍝
Can't wait to read Salena's story next!

► BEGINNING OF FOREVER was such an adorable + funny + sweet + sparky + just beautiful Italian/Californian wine love story - I loved it! Run to your nearest amazon for your own Gio - this one is mine!

I just finished reading the entire D’Angelo series in less than 3 days. The entire series was fantastic. Gio and Emma’s story was my second favorite (loved Chloe’s story so much).
Needless to say, I was fully invested in the lives of all the characters and have been dying to see who would be the one to tame the playboy. I hope there are more books coming… maybe some romance for Mari? Or a spin off with Selina’s story. We need more!

I received an ARC from Netgalley for an honest review.
This series of Catherine Bybee is definitely different and each book of the series is also appart from every other.
It reminded me that Catherine Bybee now’s how to tell a non dramatic relationship taking place or forming inside a dramatic context. It is comforting that the love and romance grows slowly but surely but the drama around it can be unsettling. All in all I give the book 3 stars, not knowing if I would have wanted a little more complication between heroes but thinking that well, they already have a lot on their plates. Maybe my feeling is that I needed a notch more romance.

Bybee has done it again. It was very cute read for me. The characters were so adorable and the story highly engaging. I loved the family’s dynamics and how swoon-worthy the romance was.

It was entertaining to read this. I liked the two main protagonists. Yet, I thought some of the subjects were overdone. I firmly believe that my reading attitude played a major role in this situation. It was so weighty for my taste that it quickly grew monotonous.

Absolutely loved it, loved the characters, loved the Italian setting, perfect holiday read. Did not even realise it was the second in a series, as it’s an easy to read stand alone tale of Gio and Emma and their adventures on an Italian wine tasting tour. Highly recommend

Amazing! I wouldnt expect anything less from Catherine Bybee. I loved the series. Each book ties one into the other but still has their own storyline, I've loved Gio from the very beginning of the series. Hes the lovable, fun guy with a heart of gold. I could only hope that she continues this with Salena's story. The Italian heritage as always intrigued me and the storyline of going to Italy, I felt the scene as if I was there with them. I could hear the laughter and the love of the loud, charming family coming together for dinner and Momma chastising them. Franny running around acting crazy. Its a scene that will stick in my mind for a long time,

Beginning of Forever
The D’Angelos
By Catherine Bybee

I really enjoy reading books that are in a series. The characters flow in and out into the next book. The Beginning of Forever was a fun read and I felt as if I was on the three-week vineyard tour in Italy sharing in all the sights and wine tasting was so vivid. When Giovanni and Emma meet on the tour it was fate and I just knew they would hit it off and they would have their HEA. This book was a fun read and had many laughs and some tears. This is a must read with the twist in the family tree that shakes up the family, but in the end love conquers all.

Thanks Netgalley for allowing me to read this book. Gio is excited about his tour that is family purchased for his birthday. Emma is going on vacation to escape her job. I liked the chemistry between Gio and Emma. This book was a quick and easy read.

Catherine Bybee latest novel had me swooning the entire way through! Beginning of Forever is the third installment in The D’Angelos series and if you haven’t already read them, this series is a MUST READ! Each book focuses on a different D’Angelo sibling and all of the novels can be read as a complete standalone.

Beginning of Forever centers around Gio D’Angelo and Emma Rutledge. Both find themselves on vacation in Italy and the chemistry was absolutely undeniable! The real question was would that vacation romance convey back to the states in their regular lives!?! I LOVE what Catherine Bybee had in mind for them! I really hope Catherine keeps this series going because I never want it to end! I enjoy the entire cast of characters and I feel like I’m catching up with old friends with every installment—LOVE THAT! I highly recommend this 5 star novel in this 5 star series to everyone!

The second book of the D'angelo family, I enjoyed the beginning of the story, but somehow I lost focus in the middle of it. Altough, I claimed back all attention from the 50% and forward, and got back the delightful vibe of be reading a book about wine and Italy.. Not my favorite so far from all the author's books, but a good and entertaining story though.

I loved Gio and Emma's story. From their meeting in Italy I knew this was going to sweep me off my feet. Their sweet attraction blooming throughout their tour of Tuscany was wonderful and beautifully written. I loved how they continued to develop and deepen their relationship once they returned home. Balancing Gio's close-knit family was Emma's disconnected family. The health challenges that Emma faces brings everyone together in the end and it wraps up with a nice warm feeling.

Another 2-day read for me! Didn't want to put it down and read every second I could. Two wine aficionados with the same birthday meet on a tour of Tuscany, what's not to love? There wasn't as much chemistry or emotional connection as there was in the first two books of the series, but still far and away better than about half the books I've read in the last year.

I did find the ending a little abrupt, I wanted to see more of them building the vineyard. After the first two books full of vibrant D'Angelo family interactions, I was looking forward to more, but it's mostly about Emma; the D'Angelos are definitely relegated to side characters.

This is a wonderful book! I love the D’Angelo family and was eagerly awaiting Gios' story. It was well worth the wait! Captivating, passionate, romantic, witty, and so emotional! There were great family dynamics, deep family drama, a few surprising twists, and page-turning entertainment! I loved it!

Catherine Bybee’s D’Angelo series, as her other series, are always books that I can't put down. Catherine writes them so that I feel I am living alongside them, an observer who understands what they are going through, whether it’s joy or sadness in their lives. Gio and Emma’s story is a combination of both and not surprisingly, Gio has to be the best friend, lover, and supporter as Emma goes through exciting times branching out on her own and even through the tough times. That we could all have a Gio in our lives but until then, I will continue to wait for my hero and live through Catherine’s books.

2 people from Southern California meet in Italy on a Tour of Tuscany that they were both gifted for their 30th birthdays. Despite coming from very different worlds, they bond over their love of wine, and dreams of owning vineyards. Can their attraction survive once they are back home, and back to their real lives?

What made me I pick this one up? I have read the first 2 books in the D’Angelo’s series, and I enjoyed them. I wanted to read Gino’s story! This is definitely a standalone novel, you don’t need to worry if you have not read the others.

Did it live up to my expectations? It exceeded them- I loved reading about Gio and Emma’s tour of Italy, and I fell in love with both characters! I loved Emma’s tenacity and the fact that she does will not settle for less than what she deserves. Gio is all heart, and their interactions were what really made this story.

I received a copy of this book through NetGalley in exchange for an honest review.
