this was a beautifully done children's novel, it had a realistic concept and worked well in the story. I enjoyed getting to know the characters in this and thought Will was a great main character. I felt for the struggles Will had and am glad I got to read this. Andrew Eliopulos has a great writing style and I can't wait to read more from him.

"All right,” I say, although the fact that he’s asking makes me think that it might not be going all right after all. Dr. Clarkson said I needed to limit how much salt I eat while I’m on prednisone because the medicine makes me hold more water than a well, and limiting salt is supposed to help me avoid “moon face,” which is a common side effect."

A memorable book as we see Will discovering he has Crohn’s disease and finding out he can’t play soccer for a while. As Will grapples with many changes and new medications, he finds his friends supportive. One day Will finds himself hanging out with Griffin in the library, and he knows Griffin had asked his best friend, Henry, to the dance. Henry did not go, but Will wonders if he might like Griffin. Will is still figuring out who he is- is he bi, pan, gay or straight?

I wanted to enjoy this but overall found the story, characters, and plot to be something not what I was longing for or one that I would pick back up.
