Arson on the loose, suspense and action surrounding the third Church brother meeting his match, in more ways than one. Strong mystery with a romantic current flowing through that keeps everything moving. Not your typical romance with all the action. Definitely can be stand alone, but the first two are worth the read!

Sandra Owens has written a satisfying conclusion to this trilogy. Don’t fret- this makes a good standalone if you haven’t read the other two, although I encourage you to grab them and read those, also.

Willow inherited the house next door to Parker. This will enable her to realize her dream of moving to the coast, just as soon as she can complete the remodel and get it sold. Parker is unwillingly charmed by her, just as unwillingly as she is by him. Add in Parker’s precious 5-year-old Everly, an escalating arsonist, and Parker’s day job in the fire department, and the reader understands that there are exciting times ahead.

I enjoyed the book and the twist that Parker has an apparent stalker. Usually the female lead is the one with the stalker. There was a good red herring, and a believable ending for the short relationship. Sandra Owens wrote another gem.

Parker is the Fire Chief of Marsville, an artist and most importantly a dad to a very special young lady. He has the heart of a warrior and the soul of a romantic and sometimes those character traits are at war with each other. Enter Willow, a sassy children's book author who's dealing with a breakup and has decided she is in a man-free period in her life. Of course immediately sparks fly between the two of them. Toss in an arsonist who apparently has a grudge against Parker, yes these fires seem personal to him, and you have the makings of suspenseful romance that is typical of the books we've grown to love and expect from Ms Owens. The characters are realistic,, the dialog as always is snappy and smart and caused me to grin several times, and there is enough action to make the reader wonder what's coming next. And the epilogue, it will for sure make you smile and sigh. A perfect ending to this series.
