A really beautiful book full of interesting stories. Each picture is from a different photograph and tells a different story. You get to see a wonderful mix of people from different countries, different background, identities,…
Some images are a bit disturbing at times though (like the face transplant one) so maybe check it if you’re going to let a younger reader with this book.
Overall I loved it since it gives you a glimpse into people’s lives and you get to hear why the photograph took this shot and the story behind!

The photos in this book are empowering, educational, and emotional. Each photograph has a caption where the photographer explains the story behind the image, in their own words.

With photographers from around the world, the subject of these images include (but are not limited to) identity, poverty, climate change, the Covid-19 pandemic, migration, imprisonment, and war.

Some of these photos are beautiful and inspirational, while others are haunting and tragic. Each of these photos and the stories behind them are striking and powerful, giving deep insight into certain times, places, and lives.
