Such an enjoyable storytelling book, quick and easy for the young readers in your life. Short stories that keep the attention of our small listeners.

I love being able to read books for children with children and watch their reactions. I shared the short stories in this book with my 8 year old grandson and he really liked the artwork and the story varieties. FIVE-MINUTE BEDTIME SLEEPY STORIES by Ellie Meyer.

Each story is four pages long and the artwork throughout is specific to the story but all follow along the same beautiful theme. The stories all focus on settling down for the night, and are calming to listen to.

I recommend this book for anyone that enjoys reading bedtime stories to the children in their care. 5 stars for both the writing and the artwork.

Thanks to NetGalley for allowing me to enjoy this book in exchange for my honest review.

These are short at sweet bedtime stories. Some of the stories are wonderful tales with cute little endings and some there isn't a lot of substance to them - but they are quick reads and that is all you are looking for right before bed. I don't even know if they are 5 minutes. We usually read 2 before bedtime.

My little one likes them enough. We like the illustrations more - beautiful drawings with soft colors and great detail. It leaves the mind to imagine an entire world beyond the actual story which helps my little one drift off to dream land.

I think these would be perfect for an age group of 3-4 yrs old. The short stories could hold their attention and the pictures are good to distract them long enough to stare at them while you read. I read this digitally but would LOVE to see it full print and will probably buy a copy when it comes out for my youngest who is now 2.

Six beautifully illustrated and written short stories. The selected palate was stunning for the illustrations. Each of the six stories could be individual little books, and I didn't favor one over another.

The one big problem I had was reading the words printed on the tinted graphics throughout the entire book. I had to read in a well lit room.

I would definitely gift this, and recommend a book lamp. It's too clever to pass up.

Thanks Netgalley for the copy. Very cute short stories. Loved the drawings as well. These would be good to read to kids.

I really enjoyed the stories in this book, they are simple, sweet and kind. They are great bedtime stories to help children get to sleep, because they aren't super exciting and gripping, which might keep them awake.
My complaints would be that there are so few stories in this book (so as an adult reader i think i finished it in maybe 20 minutes, if that). I guess they would take longer to read if you are reading them out loud, or getting your child to read along with you. The other complaint is that the text can be quite hard to read at times, as it doesn't always stand out from the background very well. I got used to it quickly and my eyes adjusted but at first it was pretty difficult.
it is beautifully illustrated. Absolutely stunning to look at.
So i recommend this for people to read to young children who just want nice, simple and kind stories. The art will definitely catch their attention too. And i imagine it has a lot of reread value for children too.

Read this collection to my daughter. The stories are well put together and the illustrations are beautiful.

Cute little book with some short little stories for smaller children.
The illustrations were actually beautiful and opened up a lot of discussion too!
My only complaint isn't about the actual story but about the print - I really struggled to read the white writing on a patterned background, and feel that others may be the same.
Great little book though :)

These stories are adorable! I read them to my daughter and she was very interested. The illustrations were beautiful. The owl story was my daughters favorite!

Very short cute stories for before bed tales. Nothing too scary but also not long enough to completely finish a story either. Goid for 18 months to 2 year olds. May draw attention of girls more than boys due to the heavy pastel palette and multiple 'princess' themed tales. Gorgeous illustrations!!! Stories provide a good setup for children and parents to elaborate or continue the stories if they wish.
