Thanks to Netgalley and the publisher for this eARC.

**Risa Williams** has crafted a gem of a book that transcends the typical self-help genre. In *The Ultimate Self-Esteem Toolkit*, she doesn't just hand you a map; she becomes your guide on a transformative journey toward self-love and empowerment.

Williams' approach is like wrapping yourself in a cozy "Kindness Blanket." She combines neuroscience, practical tools, and heartfelt wisdom to create a roadmap for boosting self-esteem. Here's why this book shines:

Williams distills complex concepts into practical tools. Whether you're battling negative self-talk or seeking confidence, she offers actionable steps that anyone can apply.

Williams introduces innovative tools like "The Good Enough Zone," "The Self-Talk Meter," and "The Time Parameters." These aren't just buzzwords; they're life-changing strategies.

Williams addresses mind, mouth, and priorities. She encourages metacognition (thinking about our own thinking), mindfulness, and self-compassion. It's a holistic makeover for your self-esteem.

From the toolkit:

Gaudí for the Soul - Just as Gaudí's whimsical architecture graces Barcelona, Williams invites us to build our own inner marvels. Construct thought patterns that uplift, like intricate mosaics of self-love.

Santiago's Pilgrimage - Like pilgrims on the Camino de Santiago, we journey toward self-discovery. Williams guides us through cathedrals of self-acceptance, past ancient doubts, toward the sacred core of our worth.

-Segovia's Aqueduct - The two-tiered Aqueduct of Segovia, a Roman marvel, symbolizes resilience. Williams encourages us to channel our inner aqueduct—steadfast, carrying life-giving beliefs across time.

Williams' warmth and wisdom will embrace you.

Much in the vein of Risa Williams' two previous books, The Ultimate Self-Esteem Toolkit provides analysis, tips and exercises on how to improve your self-esteem.

Whilst reading it's clear that a lot of care and thought has gone into this book in order for the reader to get as much out of it as possible. It's informative and easy to digest and has several places throughout where the reader can dip in and out as needed.

I'd recommend to absolutely anyone who has struggles with self-esteem as it's an incredibly accessible book that offers a lot.

I found this book utterly incredible. It is really well laid out so that it is accessible for the reader to work through the book as a whole but also to dip in and out of for certain activities during times of anxiety. The images and illustrations are used beautifully and stop the book being daunting or word heavy.
I'd highly, highly recommend this book.

I loved this so much, as someone who has done CBT via NHS you could tell it was written by a trained therapist/psychologist and I loved the fact it was full of worksheets and exercises to helps. The book layout is well presented and you could probably cover a chapter each week like I did when doing my CBT , thoroughly recommended

I received an advance review copy for free, and I am leaving this review voluntarily.

This was an easy to follow, helpful book that I enjoyed. As with many of these toolkits I sometimes feel like they're basic and predictable but this one had some unique ideas and practices!

This is a book written by a therapist, and it includes a number of common therapeutic techniques, such as CBT, to help readers struggling with self-esteem issues. There are worksheets and exercises to help with this process. The layout is such that it could be read across five weeks, covering one chapter each week. The ideas included could work with adult, young adults, and children.

I have struggled with my self-esteem for quite some time. When I saw this book, I knew I needed it. I love the way the author uses simple little descriptors for ways to work on your self-esteem. Like the "kindness blanket" or the "compliment basket"; instead of remembering whole quote or sentence, she gives these concise phrases that instantly draw you back to what you read. As simple as some of the ideas are, they are profound. There are things you already know deep down, but need reminded of. I do think I would enjoy this as a physical book slightly more than an e-book, but the wisdom it imparts is motivating either way.

Williams' voice as a writer is personable, warm, and like talking to a therapist. I found this work to be actionable and written very succinctly. Would certainly recommend.

I really enjoyed this book. Lots of takers from it and worksheets and summaries at the end of each section. I have enjoyed setting goals and looking at life from a more positive outlook after reading this. Some great ideas flowing throughout, with clever names to remember the techniques.

I love this book. Full stop. I wanted to read and review this because I struggle with self esteem (who doesn’t?) and I have read my fair share of “self help” that didn’t stick. This DID STICK. The skills and methods taught here are super innovative, simple and motivating. I can’t wait to regularly reference this when I need a pick me up. Highly recommend!

There is no "one size fits all" answer for a person who suffers with anxiety and this book does not give one answer or fix. I found this to be a helpful book that can appeal to both adults and youth. The suggestions were not difficult and this author specializes in this work. The book is good sized and well written in simple terms. None of the suggestions are overwhelming or additional stress inducing and it covered several areas.
I would suggest it for anyone who wants to try some self-help in the quietness of their own world.
