I think The Witch Hitch did what it was supposed to do but I just felt like some parts weren't developed. It was a fun witchy romance and a quick read but I was left wanting by the end of the book!

First off, the pacing. The first 75% was really good and I didn't want to stop reading but then the ending felt rushed. Perhaps because this is the second in a series the subsequent book would give a bit more context to after the conflict but reading it on its own, it was a bit lacklustre for me.

I really liked all of the side characters but I found myself getting frustrated with the main character, Bailey. I felt particularly disappointed with the choices she made regarding her marriage, especially considering the past experiences of her fiancee with his first wife. Even though we are rooting for Seton, I felt like Bailey's actions towards Wes put me off wanting to celebrate the other brewing romance. Speaking of romance, I didn't really see too much chemistry between Seton and Bailey. Perhaps I was slightly put off by my annoyance at Bailey's choices and so I saw her as ingenuine. I feel like both Seton and Wes deserved better than Bailey.

Despite this, I enjoyed the integration of witchy life into 'real life'. The idea of witchy social media where witches debate the portrayal of witchcraft in Harry Potter made me laugh because it would absolutely happen! Bailey's cousins were all interesting and much more likable than Bailey so I'm more interested in reading Book 1 which focuses on them.

Overall, I gave The Witch Hitch 3 stars.

Sequel to Letter to three witches, I was hoping for the same kind of humor that made me laugh out loud. Although not as funny, Elizabeth Bass, brings us a new witch, Bailey who has been living all her life, in a normal way, not realizing the powers that she has. Enter her biological mom with her family who will change the way she lives, what she believes and who she loves.

I loved that book, it included humor, suspense (come on, how will the bad witch end?) and the beautiful chemistry of the family.

A fair story of past and current witches. Fast paced, but got tired of the over the top soon to be in-laws and exes of Bailey. Finding out she is a witch (she was adopted) and being attacked by a coven who hates her family is another story. Good overall, and would recommend.

This was a cute second novel to the witch series. I got the privilege of reading the first book as an ARC as well, and this second book certainly didn't disappoint. I love stories with witches in it, and this was the perfect witchy town feelgood that I needed.

I would rate this four stars. I look forward to reading more of this author.

Firstly, thank you NetGalle, the publishers and Elizabeth Bass, for allowing me to read an advanced copy of this book.

A bit about the book -
Something odd is happening; maybe it's stress with some pre-marriage jitters, but maybe it's more. Maybe it's because her biological mother is a witch, a real-life witch, a part of a magical clan just a town over. And she now insists that Baily has witch blood running in her veins.
This was not how Bailey thought her life was meant to go.
Now where things interesting.
Esme (Bailey's biological mother) conjured a man from the 1920s, Seton. And he keeps pushing the limits and getting in the way of how Bailey thought things were meant to happen.
Now Bailey has her new witch family, a fiance and an upcoming wedding, a man from the 1920s who might not want to go back home, and Bailey might not want him to go either, and don't forget a few enemies along the way.

Review -
This book was so fun, super fast past, and highly entertaining. Some of the stories are exaggerated and over the top, but it just made it a fun story to read.
I loved the unique idea of saving a man's life from the 1920s and pulling him into the now. I did,, however, wish there was a little more to the story, a little more substance, a little more connection to the characters and a little more to the story as a whole. But I enjoyed every moment of reading it, and can't wait to see what this author brings out next.

I thought this book was fun and fast paced. It was a bit silly at times and slightly over exaggerated with the "mean girls", "overbearing in-laws" and "snooty rich folk".

I did really like the story around Seton. How he was thrown out of a window in 1929 by his best friend, only to be saved by Bailey's witchy birth mom at the last second and brought to present day New York.

However, I felt like I couldn't connect to any of the characters. Bailey seemed to have no romantic connection to her fiance, Wes. There seemed to be no romantic connection with her and Seton either. Besides the author saying that they physically got shocks every time they touched. I mean, Seton spent more time with Bailey's mom and friends then he did with Bailey. The only emotion I felt was the frustration and anger between Bailey and Wes' ex, Madeleine.

It was a cutesy story though. I just wished it had a bit more. Sadly, this just wasn't for me.

The second book in this series, this book follows The Cupcake Coven and their witchy antics. I did not love the first book, but did like this one better. It is a bit too silly for my taste and the author takes some things to the extreme (a hokey mom, mean girls, uppity in-laws, etc.), but overall I was entertained by this one and thought it was a pretty cute story.

The Witch Hitch is an original witchy romcom and I really enjoyed reading it! While some of the drama wasn't my cup of tea I was able to look past it because the story was just so unique. I recommend it!

This is a light romance witch escapade story. I loved following Bailey who finds out her birth mom is a super kooky witch while trying to get married to Wes the uber normal rich guy. These worlds shouldn't be mixed but when they do hilarity ensues. I love how Bailey and Seton. The picture of him hiding in her car to escape the witches. I love the family as the embrace Bailey even if she isn't sure that is what she wants. As Bailey grows in her abilities and her feelings for Seton become undeniable she has to choose her normal insurance job life or stand up and fight the evil Tannith.
One thing I don't like is that her and Wes didn't really resolve their relationship. After her family defeats Tannith they all just walk out. Feels a little unfinished.
I love that we brought back the magic cupcakes and how all her coworkers fell asleep or fell in love. Lol it makes me nervous to eat work food.
This series is really fun, the romance is light, clean and fun. The characters are kooky and lovable. It is a fast laser easy read. I will be excited to read more of this series.

The witch hitch

I have to admit it took me some time to get into this book. Perhaps because I read this as a stand alone, but it was a nice read. Witches, found family, new and old romances are all fun things about this book but add in some time travel and a wedding to the mix and you’ve got a whole lot to unravel in these pages.

I absolutely love all things witchy and what is even cuter than a witch? A bride witch to be!!! I loved Elizabeths first book of A letter to three witches and this book was absolutely adorable as well. If you need a cozy witch story, this one is super cute and it will make a wonderful fall day sitting outside read.

The witch is back was a slow read for me.
I really enjoy the family coven and the relationship that developed between them. They were fun and relatable. I loved the cupcakes. The plot was predictable and I found myself wanting to skip the parts with the fiancee. In the end I felt bad for him. I didn't enjoy some aspects (personal bias) but overall I did enjoy the story.

This book put a spell on me. I could not stop reading it and I devoured it in three sessions.

The Witch Hitch flashed before my eyes like a sitcom and it brought me back to my childhood/teen years afternoons spent watching tv shows about magic and witches. The book was fun (I honestly loughed out loud more than once), very fast paced (to be honest, there were some parts in which I wished for the story and its characters to be explored a little bit more) and pretty swoony. All in all, it was an enjoyable read that I would totally recommend.

Elizabeth Bass' Magical Rom-Coms, with recurring characters and that lovely absorbing tension between skepticism and magic-users (Witchcraft) are extraordinarily delightful! I can say these novels are "Magical" in more than one sense! I totally adore them, even though I generally run in the opposite direction from romance.
These characters are both so well-rounded and realistic, and it's so easy to find empathy with them. Plenty of Suspenseful tension is present too, and as these characters learn and grow through struggles and adversity, so does their empowerment intensify.

This was such a good sequel to A Letter to Three Witches! I loved how the story changed to Bailey, who is getting married in three weeks, and still hasn't been able to find the perfect dress. She's becoming increasingly annoyed with her soon-to-be-in-laws, and her fiancee seems to be sticking up for his ex just a little too much. Then, Bailey finds that she can talk to her pet parrot--and he talks back. She finds out the weird woman following her all over town is actually her birth mother, and she has three cousins who are witches that want nothing more than to help her find her way. Throw in a hot guy from the 1930s and what more could you ask for in a book? I just adored this book so much, and I cannot wait for more!

This was adorable! I loved the first of Elizabeth’s books and was entirely too excited to get an ARC of the follow up from the same universe(thanks Netgalley!). The Witch Hitch is one of those books where every character has so much vibrancy that you’re ready to hear more about them all, the wold built is one I can’t get enough of. This book is once part romance, one part self discovery, and a whole lot of high jinx. I couldn’t recommend it more(but also I need more of Bailey and Seton now PLEASE)!

Unfortunately this book was not for me. I did not relate to any of the characters and felt the book to be very slowly paced. This book had promise but ended up not hitting the mark for me.

The magic, the hijinks and the talking parrot are scene stealers. The romance however didn't quite reach the heights it needed to for this to work as a primary romance.

Bailey and Seton are the main couple with Seton being the man out of time. The problem is Bailey is about to get married to Wes. Even though all is well that ends well it still made me feel badly because he wasn't a bad guy just meh.

The Witch Hitch follows Bailey, in preparation for her wedding day. During a dress fitting she runs into Esme, which turns out to be her biological mother and a witch. But this is when things start getting crazy for Bailey - including a fellow showing up in the back seat of her car and claiming to be from 1930.

During the crazy beginning, I was hoping for an up tempo and ultimately fun read. However it all ended up feeling slow, dragged out and flat. My favourite character unfortunately ended up being the parrot, who was hilarious and snarky - exactly my thoughts the book would be. The Witch Hitch was more of a miss than a hit, but it did have it's moments.

I would still be recommending this to people I know would enjoy this type of story.
