Radiant Sin has definitely solidified its spot as my favorite in the Dark Olympus series so far. This instalment has the perfect dynamic. Cassandra has a legitimate reason for not wanting to become involved with Apollo, so the plot line feels more realistic. Apollo is head over heels in love but refrains because of his power over her. Their relationship felt the most real out of all of the past books.
The action sub-plot of the book was so riveting as well! I never got bored of our setting although it was the majority of the novel.
There was the best ratio of sex:kink:romance, making Radiant Sin- in my opinion, a triumph.

given i didn't really enjoy neon gods as much as others, yet thoroughly enjoyed the ride of electric idol, i went into this listen with a pretty even slate when it came to expectations.
while it does deliver on steam as it has throughout the series, this one fell a bit flat for me in terms of voice and development. i never quite felt like there was much between apollo and cassandra. adding the mystery plot to it didn't help endear me any further into the tale either.
the plot itself felt weak or at the very least, not engaging enough to keep me at the edge of my seat in wonder or curiosity as electric idol did. this one simply didn't grip me by the collar and demanded by attention or adoration. as much as i wanted to enjoy it, i just felt myself drifting in and out of the story, picking up the key details of the plot, but never feeling pulled into the world built.
that could also come from the world falling a little flat for me too. each time, where i think it might be fleshed out a bit more, it just— wasn't? and with how much of the characters reside within it, and how important it seems to each one, it's hard to imagine them in this city when i fail to picture it within my mind, let alone picture why everyone seems so hellbent in staying at the top of it.

Katee can’t do no wrong. This book was just as spicy as the others and Apollo and Cassandra were amazing, but the mystery and plot was also so well done! I cannot wait to continue this series and know what’s going to happen next!

Another great installment in the Dark Olympus series. I really enjoyed Cassandra and Apollo. Their chemistry was great and the forced proximity trope is one of my favourites. I also really liked the murder mystery/house party vibes. The narrators were also fantastic!
Great concept, great callbacks to characters from previous books, great love story with the main characters. All together a great book. Looking forward to the next one!

ARC provided by Publisher in exchange for an honest review.
I would like to thank Dreamscape Media and NetGalley for sending me a copy of this audioARC. Katee's world of Olympus is one that caught my attention from the day I opened Neon Gods, and being given the privilege of an early look at her next installment had me excited to say the least.
As someone who tends to not seek out gratuitous smut in fiction, this world has been having me set that aside time and time again. How Katee has managed to intertwine all these stories cohesively to get glimpses not only into one couple, but many, keeps the world fresh and exciting. The exploration never ends, and Radiant Sin was no different. Cassandra may be one of my favorite FMC's so far.
The conflicts we see between someone who is pretty ostracized for her parents choices, and those who see her as tainted allow us a different glimpse into this world. it gives an outsiders perspective of the corruption versus an insider who is directly affected.
Cassandra and Apollo's dynamic and relationship came of as relatively safe. It seemed very likely what the outcome would be and it was just a matter of getting there. Radiant Sin seemed a bit like filler compared to it's predecessors. We have all been waiting for a fallout and this book provided it, but the stakes didn't feel as high for me with the couple. Though, the cliffhanger that this book was left on has in incredibly excited for book five, as well as trying to figure out the mystery of who Hermes love interest will be in book 10.
Congrats to Katee for another spectacular book. This world remains one of my favorites.

Oh, Where do I begin??? I have had a Reading Roller Coaster with Katee Roberts. The first title I read was desperate measures, which I had High Hopes for being a Disney Child at heart and was sooooo underwhelmed. She over used the "Daddy/Babygirl" dialogue and I feel like she had an enormous opportunity for a detail filled, epic series and it fell short. Then I started The Court of Vampire Queen and I am not gonna lie, I have read a lot of Smut but this one, FMMM, was A LOT to process and while I don't hate it, it is taking me the longest to get through!! THEN...... I get the opportunity to listen to this ARC and even though I haven't read the Series, it says it could be read as a standalone so I dove, HEAD FIRST into the crazy world of the Olympians and Boy was I pleased!!! Her writing style has improved!!! I made it 40% in before the first SEX scene and there was a great amount of plot with the smut after that!!!!!!!!! I will definitely be looking for the other books in the series and I will look for more work from Katee Roberts!!!! I am so glad I stuck out and gave all the things a try because I think she has the potential to be a Fav. author! The only thing in Radiant Sin that made me unhappy was that the events all take place within a week basically and if I am going to give my heart to a character I want more time with them!!!
Thank you to NetGalley and the Publishers for allowing me thee Pleasure of this Audio Arc and the chance to change my mind about an Author!!!!!

The narrators did a fantastic job but I didn't feel myself being invested in the story. I also felt like the book ended abruptly without much resolution and Cassandra came around really quickly to staying in Olympus after telling us the enter book that she wanted to leave. I understand her reason for staying (cough Apollo cough) but it felt like the change of heart happened one second and then the next the book was ending with very little fanfare. I like Cassandra and Apollo's relationship and the spice was great.

I absolutely loved this one! This one reminded me almost of a “locked room thriller” with some mystery and murder! I loved Cassandra and Apollo! I have this in ebook format and audio. The narration on the audio was fantastic also!

I've listened to all of the audiobooks in this series, so I already knew going in that I would enjoy the narrators. They make the story exciting and easy to follow. The story itself may be one of my favorites in the series. I love the continual representation of plus size beauty, and the on page consent is everything.

Katee Robert hasn't missed yet. With easy writing and compelling narration, this was a great first audiobook. I can't wait to see how this series continues and I'm definitely more likely to pick up another audiobook after this.

Radiant Sin was much more high stakes than the others in the series. I really liked Apollo and Cassandra, and both of the narrators were amazing!

This one truly bummed me out a bit. Throughout the book I felt constantly confused about the politics of the work and after four books into this series it shouldn’t be so so confusing? We should understand how things work at a very basic level by this point? But, honestly the characters fell so flat to me and at first I looooveed the representation but then it rally felt like that is allll she had to mention in her inner dialogue? It was always about her size and just felt very unnecessary? Like yes she’s a plus sized woman but that shouldn’t be her only defining factor? Not sure, but these characters bored me and I considered DNFing, but I pushed through.
3.75 stars for the ending.
Thank you to the publisher for the ARC.

⭐️ 3
I honestly was really enjoying the first 75% of this book. I was so close to rating ⭐️4 and then I got to the end … UNDERWHELMING. I felt like it was lack luster, had no sort of wrap up, and was extremely rushed.
I wanted so much more to be discussing, and maybe there will be a part two to Apollo and Cassandra’s story but it doesn’t seem like it … sigh 😔

Thank you to NetGalley, Katee Robert and Sourcebooks for the ALC of this book!
First of all I loved the narrators that were chosen for this audiobook, I found them really easy to listen along to. I've always heard great things about Robert's writing and was ecstatic to get to listen to this book.
I think the book flows ok and I loved how Cassandra was portrayed as a badass female FMC however Apollo was not my favorite MMC I just think he lacked depth and was not at all my dream man.
I liked the who done it aspect as well, any books with a twist I can't predict make me enjoy them more
Since I haven't read the rest of the series I can't say if this is the series for me, however if you read the series already its worth giving this book a try or even listen to it while you do stuff around the house

I have read and listened to the entire Dark Olympus series (to date) over the past week. I am 💯 here for all of the 🌶️ sexy times but I also really need to find out what’s going to happen to Olympus and The Thirteen. Things were revealed in the previous book so now spymaster Apollo and his assistant Cassandra are investigating the dangers ahead for Olympus. I did find this book to drag a bit compared with some of the others in the series but it definitely picked up at the end. Now I’m stuck waiting until August for the next one!!
*Thanks to Dreamscape Media and NetGalley for this advance audiobook copy for review

Radiant Sin by Katee Robert
#4 in the Dark Olympus series. Paranormal romance. Dark. Can be read as a stand-alone. First person alternating POV’s.
Cassandra is from a disgraced and fallen house on Olympus. She is very close to her goal of having enough money to move her and her sister away from the Thirteen and Olympus. In the meantime, she works for Apollo, trying to keep him on track, at the same time trying to keep her crush on him hidden. When Apollo asks Cassandra to be his plus-one for a weekend event, it’s for her insight and support, yet at the same time he wants to convince other guests that she’s his girlfriend. As a cover. They both have lusted after the other for years and this weekend, sharing a bed, will be a huge change for them and Olympus.
Treachery, trickery, and alliances are all part of the powerful Thirteen. Huge changes are on the horizon. Will the Thirteen be able to keep the power?
🎧 I listened to an audiobook version of this story narrated by Zara Hampton-Brown and Alex Moorcock. The performances are compelling and gripping. Chapters alternate with POV and narrator and each do a fantastic job of keeping the reader invested and actively listening. The steamy scenes are hot and the political dangers are hair-raising. I think the audiobook experience focuses on the intensity of the emotions in the story.
I listened to this at 1.4 which is slightly slower than my usual.
I received a copy of this from NetGalley and Dreamscape Media.

Radiant Sin is another addition to the Dark Olympus series about Apollo and Cassandra. I honestly went into this book without reading much of the blurb because this series has been so intriguing and somewhat different from what I am used to.
Apollo and Cassandra have been secretly mutually pining for each other for years while she has been his assistant. Her disgraced family and reputation leaves her with a bitter view of Olympus. Yet, she still harbors feelings for one of the thirteen. When Apollo is invited to week long party, Cassandra gets roped into being his fake girlfriend- all with the promise of being able to leave the city after.
Majority of this book takes place at and focuses on the party hosted by a new dangerous citizen. I think what didn’t work for me in comparison to the first couple stories was how heavy the plot was on the action, compared to the romance. I love fake dating stories, but we didn’t get many elements I usually love about them like the tension/angst. They kind of dove right into keeping these just physical, but knowing they like each other all while the knowledge of her leaving hangs over them. Then the drama and suspenseful elements of the party take front and center to the plot.
After the drama unfolds, I really had no clue how their relationship would pan out due to the new changes. The ending felt kind of abrupt and I was surprised to see that was the end. I would have liked to see more discussion and development of their relationship, rather than just feeling like they kept things how they were out of comfort. I wanted to see more communication and feel like they wanted this as bad as they did in the beginning.
I did listen to the audiobook ARC which had great narration that really brought another element to the suspenseful aspects and made me want to keep listening, even if I was struggling with the plot.

I loved this book! The voice actors were so captivating and the story line and plot had me on the edge, eager to figure everything out. This newest addition to the dark Olympus series was full of plot twists and was the most mystery/thriller like. I especially enjoyed the intimacy of the characters' relationship. It was evident that they loved each other very deeply. I can't wait to read the next one!

Katee Robert's can write no flops. Her writing just keeps getting better and better. I love from the beginning how you could tell that they really wanted each other but they both had their reasons on why they had to stay away which gave it that forbidden romance aspect. The narrators did an amazing job with this and they keep you sucked into the story. Loved this so much!

I absolutely loved this narration! I always love the dual narration for these and the accents are perfection.
I have enjoyed every book in this series so far, I think Electric Idol and Wicked Beauty might still be my faves but I really liked that!
I love a forbidden romance; add in faking date, close proximity, one bed, and I’m in. I loved knowing that Apollo had eyes for Cassandra for years but held back to avoid pressuring her because of his power. However, I also loved how feisty Cassandra was and how much she cared for her sister after everything her family went through.
The drama in Olympus was top notch as always. Always something. I loved the spicy scenes and wished for a couple more but really enjoyed the chemistry between Apollo and Cassandra and how much they truly looked out for each other without even realizing it.
