Would recommend reading this if you love:

- Why Choose romances
- mafia vibes
- captors / captive
- spicy books

I didn't realize how steamy this story would be! I generally liked it but I truly wasn't in love with any of the characters. They all seemed to act way younger than they were said to be. I liked that it was multiple POV but I had a hard time distinguishing between all of the different men at times. Their personalities weren't exactly strong enough for me to keep track.

Eh, this just wasn’t it for me. I guess I like my romance darker? I really don’t know. Everything felt pretty juvenile considering all the characters are in their 30s or older. There was more internal dialogue than character development, and tbh Devon (the FMC) got on my nerves. I kept reading because obviously I had hope, but… yeah, no. There was a part where she is almost raped by 3 randoms at the beach, but then gets fucked in the ass by one of the guys like almost immediately after. That seems super far fetched, especially with the previous trauma, but whatever. I’m sure others will enjoy this though.

This is a book that I typically wouldn't be into. However, the beginning of the story drew me in. This book has a few trigger warnings, so reader please take care. I struggled finishing this book, I didn't particularly enjoy the writing style and didn't form a connection with any of the characters. The story itself was interesting, I liked the idea of the four men catering to a female, and there was definitely some hot spice, that kept me engaged- thank you. I would have liked to see a little more from the plot and character development.

Thank you NetGalley and the publisher for this ARC. I voluntarily chose to read/review it and the opinions I share are that of my own.

Devon has a darkness in her that scares most people. She can drink most people under the table and despises her father but agrees to go on vacation with him once a year in order to obtain her trust fund.

After he disappears she is kidnapped and if her father doesn't repay his debt she is to be sold - in the mean time she is put in the hands of 4 tattooed gorgeous men who all are also battling their own demons.

She slowly learns that even if she escapes there is no where to go and she is just as drawn to the men holding her as they are to her.

Desperate to keep her they try to find a way to appease her kidnapper and still come out of this alive.

This is a fun enemies to lovers, reverse harem dark romance.

I confess that I like a pretty cover and this one definitely is. That being said, it's what drew me to this book initially. The book started off fairly strong but then somewhere along the way, it just fizzled for me. I knew when I started it that I was getting a reverse harem read and that was fine, but from the description, I expected a bit more plot. Unfortunately, that hope faded away pretty quickly as the book progressed and what could have been a spicy read with an intriguing storyline just ended up being a spicy read. And for many readers, that's okay, I'm just not one of them, I like a little story with my spice and didn't really get that here. The bummer is it started with all the potential of delivering that and then just didn't.....

However, like I said, there are plenty of readers out there who will still love this book. It does deliver four hot men who are willing to cater to the heroine's every need in a beautiful tropical location. So, if you're looking for a spicy reverse harem read, then look no further - - you'll love this book. And seriously....the cover is so cool!

The cover and blurb really drew me in, but I really struggled with this one. The writing felt extremely juvenile — especially since these characters are supposed to be in their late 30s/early 40s. There wasn’t any character development or much inner dialogue and world building to get me invested even by the 20% mark.

This book wasn’t for me but if you’re looking for a quick steamy read and prefer a spicy book without a large plot, you might enjoy this one.

The cover drew me in and the synopsis with a 'why choose' theme made me so excited to read this.

However, it took me forever to really get into the book. I had a really hard time keeping the guys straight and they way they talked and acted made me think they were fresh out of high school and not full blown adults. And once the spice started, I got bored of it.

I tried so hard to find something good about the book, but it just wasn't for me. But I'm happy if other people really enjoyed it.

This book was HOT. I always love a good reverse haram, and when you mix that with the darker aspects of the plot you get a real show stopper. There were a lot of steamy scenes (which I knew would be the case) but I would have liked to see some more scary action from the guys. But honestly I'm not super angry about all the spice! Great read that I'll definitely recommend to my reverse haram loving readers!

This is a dark reverse harem story with the captor/captive trope. In this case, there are four hot captors. It's a steamy read with a good plot. With that being said, the second half of the story lacked a balance between the steamy scenes and the storyline. I was hoping to see more of the boys in action. I wanted to see them on these dangerous runs/errands instead of being told that's what they do. Something to break up all the steamy scenes. Other than that, it was a good read. If you're a fan of dark romances and reverse harems, this is worth checking out.

TW: Pain kink, MFM action, and abuse.
