This book is a must read for anyone who wants to unbiasedly educate themselves on the history, benefits, and harms of marijuana. The author pulls on his real life experience as a doctor, a user, and the son of Lester Grinspoon, a pioneer in the marijuana legalization movement.

Interest read for anyone interested in this topic. Alittle dry but worth the read.

An interesting read that touches on many aspects including a basic intro, history, medicinal usage on marijuana. I recommended this book to a friend who is currently in a medicinal cannabis program at the University of Maryland

This book is jam-packed with useful relevant information with hints of humor and lots of personality. I think it will leave the readers with a better ability to understand Marijuana, what it can and can’t do, and current and past legislation revolving around this plant. The writer, a Harvard-educated doctor, and proponent of legalization do an amazing job showing all sides of the coin without throwing his opinions out as gold.
He is very blunt and doesn’t skirt around facts even if they don’t support his cause. I loved the personal touches and experiences he placed throughout the book. I loved that though his book was largely informational, the humor and highly interesting content made it an easy read. The format of this book makes it easy for readers to flip back and revisit sections of interest. I definitely hope to read more by this author and his massively cool father! I think their voices and the knowledge they dig for and share are what America needs to move with the times and finally allow the study’s to be done regarding marijuana without backlash from the government. We need more info and that’s one thing this man is fighting for. We can’t make choices across the board for something that’s barely been studied, and the lack of studies is not based on safety but rather a political agenda. Don’t be scared away by the mention of political agenda as I truly felt like the information was not screwed. We can get a broad picture of the governments' position in the past and present. We can hear the perspective of a respected physician who has quite a bit of knowledge and hands-on experience with Marijuana. This book is great because of its transparency. Even though some will go after his credibility for his marijuana use I believe the vast majority of readers will open their eyes to what I already know. People of all professions and socioeconomic background are using Marijuana, some of whom have a genius IQ and are the most active and impactful people of our time.
