The first book I have read by this author and it is more than good.

Fast paced, exciting and well plotted with fascinating characters.

I won’t provide spoilers but it certainly grabbed my interest from the beginning and never let go.

This book felt like an autobiography of the author. passed off as fiction. Your typical old man living a sad depressive life because his internet crush left him. The book is way too long with no twists. Most of the book is about Angela and Rick, a married couple who are neighbors of the main character David who lives a pretty sad life constantly has sexual dreams about Angela each and every night. When David is not fantasizing about Angela he is reliving and talking about the days of the past and how great his life used to be; Add in a few thugs, an abusive relationship, calling a woman the curse word for a female dog and a lot of gay inferences, and you basically have the just of this book. I gave this book 1 for effort and 1 for the cover, which I love. The book was way too long and could have been told in less than 200 pages. I definitely would not classify this as a thriller!

This book promoted as "set in Oklahoma". Since I live in Oklahoma, I'm always interested in how the state is presented in fiction. Yes, the story is set in Tulsa, Oklahoma but that was a very, very small part, so I was a little put off that the promotion was misleading.
That being said, the book story line was interesting enough to hold my attention and keep me reading. There were enough twists and turns that you had to keep changing your mind on what was going on. It is well worth your time to read.
