I originally picked this up and made it through 50 pgs in, and stopped. I recently revisited Illuminated: The Fall of Terra, and had to DNF at around the same mark. I was so confused with what was happening and I just didn't like Mylo.

Thank you Victory Editing and NetGalley for the ARC.

Fable-like tale of light and dark, of harmony and disharmony, of belief and selfishness. A general spiritual feel, as power corrupts and destroys, while good lies in wait for evil to take pause. A very different read.

thank you to netgalley for the advanced reading copy of Illuminated: The Fall of Terra.
Terra was an ancient world where love and peace reign, and where everyone had a calling that serves the All. If anyone experiences negative thoughts or emotions, the goddess, Alma, will sense their disharmony and guide them out of pain into love. It was time for Mylo’s Calling Day, but had no idea what his would be, and would be lost without one. Can Alma help him find his true path without revealing a terrible secret? Can she resist falling in love with the empowered and emboldened version of Mylo she helped create through their union? And can she trust him to protect the crystal Scriptures that hold the true history of Terra and the Knowing of the All?
this story about love and sadness, protection and loss was an interesting read. short chapters pretty long as well but it went quickly. kind of a messes with your mind but in a good book way.

I received an ARC of this book in exchange for an honest review.

I really liked the concept of this book, as well as the world building. Overall it was a cool story. I felt at times we were following too many different characters’ stories so it made it really difficult to keep up with everything going on, while also being paced fairly slowly.

I’m rating it 3 stars because while I liked the concept, getting through the reading was a bit rough because of the pacing

DNF at 15%.

Thank you for the opportunity to read this ARC, but it just did not resonate with me.

There was a ton of confusing and ill explained info dumping and the very little dialogue between characters was goofy and unrealistic to me.

Wow. I am in love with this book, I read this early hours of this morning and finished it in one sitting! The world is so detailed and leaves you feeling as though you are a part of the world whilst reading. The author has done a fantastic job of describing the characters making them easy to get along with throughout the book, and keeping them all so involved throughout. This is a magnificent fantasy with amazing descriptions, and fantastic action scenes throughout leaving you gripped.

I cannot wait for book two, I recommend this to ALL fantasy lovers!
