Genetic mutations caused by extraterrestrial DNA is causing the human species to undergo rapid evolution into a new species. Can Ed Maker and his team of scientists succeed in stopping this before the Humans as we know them are wiped out.
I love these sorts of stories when science is mixed with apocalyptic disaster. This time it's a biological time bomb that has been dormant for eons. A thoroughly enjoyable read throughout.

At first, you think that it is the new technology, Harvesters, that were causing mutations within the human populace. Instead, you learn that aliens seeded our planet with their DNA to create a new world that had lain dormant for million of years.

The science of the was interesting and I really enjoyed reading the different POVs. I am hoping there is a sequel.

Thank you NetGalley for the ARC and this is my honest review.

I am a fan of disaster and first contact novels. For me, the best scenes are the thrilling scenes and sometimes wild plot. Well let me tell you, this story grabs the reader from the first page and doesn't let go. Love the creativity of the story. It's not a hard science fiction novel, it's a popcorn science fiction novel, and I really enjoyed it. I will recommend it to patrons at my library.

I am a library associate and received an advance copy from #NetGalley.

I wasn’t sure how I felt about the writing style at first, but the concept of this book was enough to keep me hooked. I didn’t really feel connected to the characters, but that’s most likely because there were so many points of view at play due to the nature of the story. Overall, this is an interesting science fiction novel with a twist at the end and I will likely be picking up the sequel whenever it comes out.
