Some books just make you feel happy, giddy, even. It's not the "curl up with a mug of tea comfort" happy, but the knowledge that you'll be grinning as you read because the characters are great and getting to watch their journey and romance a treat. It's just nice, getting to watch Eden and Anna's growth, as artists and as people, and watching their friendship and romance flourish is just so sweet and wonderful. A contemporary romance where the characters actually talk through their fears and insecurities, both around relationships and their careers, and do what they can to help each other is so nice. Even the major conflict doesn't come until almost the end and is thankfully resolved, once again, with good communication. I loved rooting for both of them and I loved how supportive both Eden and Anna were.

My one quibble (and this is a personal pet peeve) is that San Francisco doesn't have an arena (it's an auditorium, or you go an hour south, or to oakland), and no houses there have basements, but it's such a minor thing and so quick that it didn't mar my enjoyment at all.

Stars collide is such a sweet sapphic romance. As Eden’s career is struggling with her latest album not as successful and her divorce she’s advised to sing a duet with the new popular pop singer Anna. During the book Eden comes to term with her sexuality while Anna also moves in from a toxic ex.Although there were plot points such as the argument that was rushed ,it was still an enjoyable romance story.3.5 stars . Thank you Netgalley for the arc

I was lucky enough to get an ebook arc of this story and OH MY GOD!! Stars Collide is a grumpy/sunshine celebrity romance between a older pop superstar who has been in the limelight for two decades and a young, super bubbly, super queer, up and coming star. Our pop superstar always assumed she was straight, but when her life and music is lacking passion, she invites said up and coming star to perform with her at the Grammy’s… and let’s just say the rest was history.

I absolutely loved this book. I don’t even know what else to say other than #gaypanic all around.

I’m not usually a fan of celebrity romcoms… so me giving this ⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️ is KIND OF a big deal 😜

Eden has been in the business for years, and Anna is just getting started. They team up for a mutually beneficial collaboration and become friends while on tour. From there, it’s a slow burn into more. Even while facing some difficult feelings, people, and situations, I loved the adventures they went on and their supportive friends and coworkers.

I could see this turning into a series (y’all know I love a good series) with any of the secondary characters. Fingers crossed!

Thanks to NetGalley for this ARC in exchange for my honest review. Watch for Stars Collide to come out May 2, 2023!

before I get into how much I cried like a baby, I’d like to thank the legend who wrote my new favourite book, @rachellacey aswell as @netgalley for providing me with this e-arc in exchange for an honest review!

so.. i cried. once again I cried while reading one of Rachel’s books, not even surprised anymore HAHAHA

Eden and Anna are pop stars. they’re also fake which makes me mad bc I want to hear them singing together 🥲

but anyway, they’re singers and thanks to edens ever dropping numbers, Anna ends up performing a duet with Eden! this unlocks a bunch of stuff for both Anna and Eden, most notably Anna being invited to open for Edens upcoming tour!

I loved the book! I feel like I should have proper constructive things to say other than “omg my gay little heart is COMBUSTING” but I feel like that sums up how I feel! I adored this book from the first page!

I loved Eden and I loved watching her slowly come out of her shell, she really found her true self and it was such an honour to experience that with her. Edens journey into discovering her sexuality was so relatable for me. I feel like this is the first time my sexuality journey has been represented and it feels fucking wonderful! i loved how Anna consistently reassured Eden that it was ok to discover her sexuality late in life and the way she did.

speaking of Anna, I adore her! Anna is such a bubbly, positive and fun person and I honestly loved getting to know her more serious side! the way she treated eden was so beautiful and honestly it broke my heart the way Camille treated her. Anna is just such a beautiful character and her growth with Eden was beautiful.

a special thing I want to really highlight was how beautiful eden and annas seggs scenes where. not in a pretty seggs way but in the way they, Anna in particular, held such importance in consent and making sure what they were doing was ok with the other. you are all probably soooo sick of my rambling about consent in romance novels (cough cough I’m looking at you straight novels) but it’s so underdone and I absolutely LOVE seeing it, especially done so beautifully!

another thing I really loved was the representation! Anna is Pansexual. I don’t know if I’m just reading the wrong books but I scarcely see Pansexual main characters! it was delightfully refreshing to see a pan MC! I also loved that Anna’s assistant, Kyrie is trans! I loved seeing inclusive rep focused on main characters!

overall this book is a smash hit! just everything about it is absolutely phenomenal. once again rachel lacey has defied my expectations and I look forward to her next literary masterpiece!

This was the first Rachel Lacey book I’ve come across, and it certainly left a good impression. I enjoyed how she wrote the relationship between Anna and Eden, as well as the depth and nature of the characters which made them feel real to the reader. This only furthered my interest in the book and my desire to keep reading. Overall, an enjoyable easy read for anyone looking for some romance.

I loved it so much! The conflict at the end felt a bit forced, but it didn’t ruin my love for this book. I loved both of the main characters and how they found their way to each other. Wonderful!

This is the first book that I've read from Rachel Lacey, but it definitely won't be my last. I'm adding her other books to my list to pick up at the library!

Eden Sands has been in the music business for 20 years. At 36, she has just gone through a divorce from her husband, and her album and tour sales are down. As a way to boost interest in her, her team invites Anna Moss to perform with Eden at the Grammys. Anna is 27 years old, and her star in the music business is quickly rising. Anna has had a huge crush on Eden her entire life, and she can't believe that she gets to perform with her!

After the success of their Grammys duet, Eden invites Anna to open for her on her upcoming tour. As Eden and Anna spend more time together, Anna's feelings for Eden grow. She gets to spend time with and sing with her celebrity crush, and the real life version of Eden is even better than her dreams. Eden loves spending time with Anna, and she feels like she finally has a best friend. But her feelings start to shift for Anna. Eden has always identified as straight, but could she be wrong about her sexuality?

Eden and Anna's story is so beautiful and steamy! I loved their openness and honesty with each other as they talked about their sexuality. The slow burn felt very real to me, and I'm glad that they took their time with their relationship. I loved reading about their tour and songwriting process. Their HEA was well-earned, and I loved the epilogue.

Thanks to NetGalley and Montlake Publishing for an ARC of this beautiful story.

Stars Collide by Rachel Lacey is a sweet celebrity romance about up-and-coming pansexual pop star Anna Moss, who gets the chance to tour with her first celebrity crush and music icon Eden Sands to help both of their careers. Sparks fly, which is unexpected for the ostensibly straight and recently divorced Eden, but as they continue to spend time together on the road, Eden realizes she may not be straight after all - and more importantly, maybe passionate, all-consuming love DOES exist.

I liked this book a lot - I've read other Rachel Lacey books before, and always felt a little lukewarm about them, but this was a great departure. I thought Anna and Eden had great chemistry, and their talks about coming in their queer identities felt honest and authentic. The pace of the slow-burn worked great, and I felt the anticipation as much as Anna and Eden did.

My dislikes (which were few and far between) - for a book that featured so much well-written internal angst, the ending felt forced and a little melodramatic. I got what the author was going for by inserting Camille at the final party, but it didn't land for me the way the rest of the obstacles had over the course of the story. And I did think the push from that final confrontation to their HEA was very rushed & forced. But it was a sweet final scene & epilogue, and what's a romance with some slight melodrama and cheese!

Thanks to NetGalley and Montlake for the ARC.

Rachel is quickly becoming my favorite wlw author. This book has everything I love, some angst, celebrity romance, and characters actually learning to communicate and realistic growth. Loved this one!

this was my first book from Rachel Lacey and I really enjoyed how she wrote this, it worked well in the romance aspect. The characters were what I was hoping for and the romance was wonderfully written. I'm so glad that I was able to read this and getting to go through this book. The cover was wonderfully done and does a great job in doing what I was hoping for.

"Mom!” Anna squealed as she launched herself into her mother’s arms. Earlier that morning, she’d flown from Las Vegas to San Francisco with Eden and the rest of their entourage. From there, everyone else had gone to the hotel, but Anna had come straight to her parents’ house. She’d be staying here tonight after the show. “Look at you, my budding superstar,” her mom murmured, hugging Anna tightly. “You’re glowing.”
