This was a really sweet celebrity romance, following two pop stars as they fall in love over their tour. I really loved Eden and Anna, both as individuals and together. There's a real sweetness to their interactions and how they bring out the best and sometimes the worst in each other. But what I liked most in the book was Eden's experience in coming out and realizing her sexuality. There's a lot of nuance and care in the portrayal of her discovery of her sexuality and how that colors her past and what has brought her to this point in her life. Additionally, the way that Eden's reaction to fame plays out is really well done.

My one major issue was the pacing, which starts off pretty slow and takes a while to get going. Anna and Eden really take a while to get off the ground and once they do it's full speed ahead, but it felt a lot faster than the first half of the novel.

Rachel is quickly becoming my favorite wlw author. “Stars Collide” has everything I love, some angst, celebrity romance, and characters actually learning to communicate and realistic growth. Eden and Anna's story is so beautiful and steamy! I loved their openness and honesty with each other as they talked about their sexuality. Their talks about coming in their queer identities felt honest and authentic. I loved the communication in their relationship, and the gentle way they supported each other; Anna in helping Eden explore her sexuality and Eden in helping Anna through the trauma of a past abusive relationship. Their friends to lovers slow burn was totally worth it. Both of these characters were written so well, the character building, both the main and supporting was superb! What I loved about this book was just how REAL it was. The theme of self-discovery is done so well. I was invested immediately and read straight through. Their HEA was well-earned, and I loved the epilogue. Thanks to Rachel Lacey, NetGalley and Montlake Publishing for an ARC of this beautiful story. This was a great book that will definitely be something I’ll read again in the future. I can’t wait to read what Rachel writes next!

From Rachel Lacey, award-winning author of Read Between the Lines, comes a sexy slow-burn romance about two dynamic divas who collide on the world’s biggest stage.

Eden Sands has been a star for twenty years, but it’s lonely at the top. Her mediocre marriage just ended, and her inner circle is smaller than ever. The stage is the only place she’s ever felt like she truly belonged, and yet, her last album flopped, and her upcoming tour hasn’t sold out. Eden’s desperate for her star to shine bright again, but when her team suggests a collaboration with an up-and-coming young star to give her a boost, she balks.

Anna Moss is pop music’s rising star. She’s idolized Eden Sands for most of her life—so it’s a dream come true when she’s invited to perform with her at the Grammys. Anna’s tired of being defined by her bubbly persona. She wants to be taken seriously as an artist, and a duet with Eden could be just what she needs.

As Anna and Eden rehearse, they soon realize they have more in common than their musical talents. Now they just have to decide if what is between them is a one-hit wonder or the making of a romance worthy of one of the greatest love songs of all time.

I really enjoyed this story. Will recommend to others.

This was a super cute, fun, and bingeable celebrity romance. I love the influx of celebrity romance we've seen over the past few years, and the musician angle was fun and fresh for me. I loved both Eden and Anna's characters, the slowburn and the sapphic representation.

fun! cute! sweet! gay!

loved it! i adored anna and eden so much. it was just a little too perfect but i still liked how this unfolded. there are some celebrity romances that just do not work for me but overall, i liked this one!

eden and anna were both lovable and neither were too famour that made them rude or unlikable. the blossom of their friendship was delightful and anna just seemed like such a wonderful and light person. eden was an anxious little sweetie. i loved what they brought out in each other.

i do wish this book was written in a first person perspective but the pacing was otherwise perfect for me. i loved the plot and dialogue of the book. eden and anna’s worries and feelings were all written in a way that really touched me and i did end up shedding some tears.

so wonderful and i will be buying my own copy! thank you netgalley and the publisher for sending me an ARC in return for an honest review.

I enjoyed this book but was hoping for a little movie more out of the romance. I found myself wishing for more tension and chemistry in this slow burn. I didn’t find there to be as feel of a connection between the two characters- it seems like Anna never truly got past seeing Eden as her idol. I wanted to find the two on more even footing. I also feel like the 3rd act conflict was very rushed and probably should’ve happened sooner in the book so the resolution could’ve been more solidly formulated. Despite this I still enjoyed this book, I feel like it could make a fun TV adaptation with all of the musical performances.

I’ve discovered that when I’m reading a Rachel Lacey romance, everything else in the world ceases to exist for those few hours. She draws you in with her characters and the story, the world she builds and the journey everyone goes on. It’s beautiful. With Stars Collide that was no different. It had the added bonus of having such a gorgeous cover too! And for a change, I didn’t feel entirely weird reading a book where one of the protagonists has the same name as me.

This book is an age gap, celebrity romance with a slow burn in forced proximity. Eden and Anna are both pop stars with the right kind of fame, chugging along to becoming bigger names than they already Eden’s been in the industry since she was a teenager, while Anna’s just stepping out into the spotlight. So when Eden’s team suggests a collaboration with Anna for the Grammys, she’s a little sceptical. Except, the duet is fantastic and the world loves it, so Anna is added to Eden’s tour as an opening act. Doing a long tour around America brings them closer and as they visit different cities on the schedule, their connection goes from being two pop stars to friends to lovers. Not to forget that Anna has crushed on Eden most of her life and idolises her at the same time.

I loved this slow burn. I loved watching Eden come to terms with her sexuality and slowly understanding it, instead of just leaping into it head first. There’s something about the way Lacey crafts those scenes that always makes me tear up. I really enjoyed how their friendship develops in the quiet moments and bonding over music and food and TV shows. Eden and Anna’s relationship was so incredibly fun to watch unfold mostly because you can feel how they take their time getting to where they need to go and that just makes it more special!

This was the cutest thing I might have ever read. The chemistry between these too was OFF THE CHARTS. We've seen this storyline so many times but i've never seen it with a sapphic couple and it worked so well, I really enjoyed it. My only concern is that I wish it was longer.

I rated this 4 stars!

I haven't read such an entertaining Star romance for a long time, because of the chemistry between the two main characters and all the inside and behind the scenes involved
.
Eden Sands is a legend in the world of music, releasing one hit after another until a year ago. After her divorce, it was very difficult to continue making hits and her last album did not have the desired result, so when her manager advises her to play at her Grammy presentation with a rising star, Eden does not seem very convinced
.
Anna Moss is having a great year with her latest album and expects great things in her career but when her top idol, Eden Sans invites her to perform with her at the Grammys, Anna can't believe she's going to meet her idol and teen crush
.
But meeting your idol may not turn out as you expected and after the first rehearsal Anna finds a friend and a mentor in Eden
.
While Eden begins to let her guard down with Anna and they begin to form a deep friendship that grows day by day, causing Eden to question her sexuality and Anna to face the fear of having a new relationship after coming out of a very difficult one
.
This is a star romance between two pop music singers, a friends to lovers with a few years difference between them. What I enjoyed the most was Eden's process and how she came out of her shell, I loved the contrast of both characters and how their relationship developed
.
Thanks to Rachel Lacey and Montlake for give me a copy of this beautiful book in exchange for my honest and voluntary opinion

I love a good celebrity romance, and this one definitely did not disappoint! Eden and Anna were both such complex, well-developed characters, and I enjoyed not only following their individual journeys of self-discovery and career development, but also getting to see them fall in love and build a relationship. I wish the ending had been drawn out a little more, but otherwise I thought this was a sweet, fun read with really likable characters! Thank you to NetGalley and the publisher for the ARC.

This book is the book the perfect book for the fangirls out there. I love how Lacey build the relationship : chemistry is here right from the start and Eden's body knew before her mind that she was attracted to Anna.
Then they connect on an emotional level and the fireworks come. For us and Eden. Anna is like the perfect queer representation saying all the words anyone going through a coming out should hear. Eden's journey to figuring herself out was well written, I personally relate a lot, and I am glad she got Anna to help her. It's like she was blind all her life, found sight with Anna and want to embrace it totally. The first 90% of the book was perfect.
When I read a romance, there is a part of me totally aware that there will be some unrealistic things in there, but I am here for it and I don't care. The other part of me is down to earth and think : that would never happen irl. So when the final fight came, as it usually does in Lacey's novel, I was really mad because it came so late in the book and didn't let me time to recover. And because of that, the realistic part of me took the lead in the end of the book. Rolling my eyes to how fast they make it public, not thinking for a second about their careers, before they even have the chance to process their couple outside tour. But then I thought : damn it! I am thinking like Eden at the beginning of the story! With a really sweet ending this book is a perfect feel good light read

I really enjoyed this book. The start was intriguing and the story grew as I got to know both the main characters through their povs. I loved the inclusion of the LGBT+ community and the peaks through music industry's world and the quotes to the fandoms.
Great story, very well written. It gave me hope, joy and a sort of feeling of "being seen for who I am".
Personal favourite: the duets. All of them.

I enjoyed this romance! The characters and plot sucked me in. Lacey's vocation as a fangirl and concert junkie really came through in the many concert scenes and the complex lives of the celebrity main characters. I appreciated that Eden and Anna were fully fleshed out and not defined by hollow character tropes. However, I found myself wanting more from them. I would have liked to have some more conflict earlier on; their mutual adoration and impeccable communication were too easy, and I found myself getting a little bored. I also wish their dialogue was a bit more interesting. I could understand why they liked each other on a basic level, but I didn't feel their connection deepening at all once they became an official couple. Read this if you're looking for a fun celebrity romance! Thank you to NetGalley for the ARC!

This cover is amazing 😍😍😍

A sapphic pop star romance? Are you kidding.. sign me up!!

Thanks to the author and NetGalley for this copy of Stars Collide.

Stars Collide is a wonderful slow burn romance about Eden Sands and Anna Moss. It’s a dual POV on their journey on tour together and it’s a wild ride. Eden has been a big star for years after recently going through a divorce, and not feeling like herself. She hasn’t been writing music or performing the way she used to. Her management team has the idea of having her and Anna Moss a up and coming pop star work together for a Grammys performance & go on tour together. Their fans start to ship Eden & Anna together, and it has them questioning everything. Eden’s straight right? The fans have her starting to even have gay panic and question everything herself..

Stars Collide was something I knew I’d love. I read the synopsis before even seeing the book on Netgallery, and knew I had to read it. The characters growth and development throughout the story was amazing. I felt like I was right there with Eden and Anna the whole read. I loved their chemistry and how comfortable they were with each other. Eden’s discovery of her sexuality was written so well. I loved everything about this story. The spice was the perfect amount too. I couldn’t get enough! I laughed, blushed and had butterflies the whole read.

I’ve been a fan of Rachel Lacey’s for awhile and she always writes amazing sapphic romances. This one didn’t disappoint. I’d recommend to anyone and will continue to read anything Rachel Lacey writes!!

Oops! I did it again. "Again" being "falling in love with another celebrity romance."

Rachel Lacey is back with another sapphic sensation, this time featuring two pop stars! Eden Sands is recently divorced and finds it hard to make new connections. After all, when you’ve been a famous entertainer for two decades, how can you know if someone likes you for you or your bestselling music? (Okay, so maybe it hasn’t been a recent bestseller.) Meanwhile, Anna Moss is rising through the ranks but is struggling to be taken seriously as an artist. The two decide to combine forces for a well-needed publicity boost and maybe a boost to their love lives as well.

Maybe it’s because the world is currently in its "Eras era," but this novel seems to be calling out to all of the Swifties who like to further read into "Maroon" and "Lavender Haze." Just like Taylor’s lyrics, this book can be a total tease, but the wait for the spice is well worth it! While the final few chapters are a bit predictable, Eden and Anna are clearly made for each other, and Rachel Lacey’s expressive storytelling skills shine throughout every chapter. Best of all, there are little to no loose ends; this reader was left extremely satisfied.

Stars Collide will be available on May 2nd, but while you wait, I highly recommend the author's other sapphic reads as well! Many thanks to NetGalley and Montlake for the complimentary copy in exchange for an honest review.

I usually love a book about famous people but this one was just okay. I feel like the romance was kind of forced and the descriptions of the concerts were repetitive. The first half was good but the last ending conflict got rushed and it wasn't resolved as well as I expected it to. Overall it was decent.

Stars Collide alternates perspectives between Eden Sands, a pop industry vet and recluse off the stage, and Anna Moss, a younger actress-turned-singer who has idolised her for years. After the pair perform a duet at the Grammy awards, Anna is invited to open for Eden on tour. But what starts as a plan to generate interest in a career low point and give ticket sales a boost develops into a supportive friendship… and more.

This story has a slow burn sapphic romance and a little age gap and a lot of performing and fandom and all the things I love so much. Where it’s common in queer celebrity romance books to have the fear of a negative public/fan reaction be an obstacle to coming out or entering a relationship (and I love lots of these stories too!) I really appreciated how this one resulted in characters fully and unabashedly embracing their identities, with their own personal journeys and negative past experiences instead being what they need to work through in order to fully commit. There are different past partners and parents and fans to contend with, and I loved watching this pair show up for each other even before they were involved romantically. I loved their adventures and quiet afternoons and how they respected each other as artists. Anna being so enamoured seeing Eden in her element was such a highlight for me because I just know I would be a fan of hers too. And watching Anna and all her sweetness and good intentions bring Eden out of her shell warmed my heart.

This was my first Rachel Lacey book and I flew through it in a day. Suffice to say it will not be my last!

Stars Collide
A Novel
by Rachel Lacey
Pub Date 02 May 2023
Publisher :Montlake
Genre :General Fiction (Adult) | Romance

Anna Moss and Eden Sands are both pop stars. Anna is a young and upcoming pop star where Eden has been on the scence a long time. The interaction between Eden and Anna are sweet and I love the way the age gap doesn't seem to bother then. ALSO Eden having a new lease on a way of love after a divorce is fantasticly done. If you want an easy light and sweet read this book this is for you.

If you want a feel good and uplifting novel this is one for you.

I’ve read a couple of books by this author before so when I saw this one I thought it would be a good choice. Stars Collide is a super sweet queer romance following two high profile pop stars. It moves along at a decent pace, and reads quite easily, I think romance lovers will enjoy this one for sure.

Yeah, I really didn’t enjoy this. I felt like the author was really trying to get us to ship these two, but I just couldn’t get into them together, especially with how rushed the ending was. Just super repetitive all the way through. (How many times did we need to read about the same concert they were performing almost every night?) If you’re looking for a basic sapphic celebrity romance, this may scratch your itch; otherwise, skip this one.
