After reading a good few books by Rachel Lacey, I've come to expect high quality, engaging, and endearing stories from her. Stars Collide certainly held up to that standard.

You know what you're getting with a celebrity romance, and there are no surprises here; though, I did enjoy the dual-celebrity take as opposed to the more common (in my experience) celeb-unknown romance. Lacey really created two wonderful, deep characters with really excellent chemistry and a beautiful relationship progression. I wouldn't say celeb romance is one of my favourite tropes, but I really did enjoy this one a lot. The toaster-oven aspect was also written really well, I liked the progression and loved the communication! (Is it just me or is good communication sexy?!)

I definitely recommend this for a light, sweet, feel-good read!

I know a Rachel Lacey book never disappoints and this one was another hit for me.

It is the first book I read about a pop star romance and it was interesting to see that the older MC was the one going through the baby gay panic as she realizes she isn't straight while already being in her thirties. You're never too old to get to know yourself and for Eden it's quite a shock. I love how Anna the younger MC manages to explain Eden that everything she is feeling is pretty normal. Coming out later in life is normal and fine and given Eden's past and rise to fame at a young age it's not that surprising that she wasn't in touch with herself that much.

The tension between them due to the age difference and the job related issues managed to make this story interesting and I love how supporting Anna is in Eden's journey. Eden also supports Anna in her career and the new more mature path she wants to take it.

A stunning romance between two pop stars. I loved how Anna and Enid bonded over common goals, respect, and admiration for each other. The romance felt so natural due to that. Additionally Enid’s coming out journey was beautifully handled. Anna’s past. abuse was also done so well and her journey to healing was wonderful to read.

Oh, how I loved and adored this book!

This was my first read from Rachel Lacey, even though I’ve picked up a few from Audible sales (I will be listening to these very soon), and I loved and hung on every single word. It was just such a beautiful, self-discovery journey for Eden, and a beautiful friendship to more between the girls.

I love a good sapphic romance, and this was soooo much more - a younger, up-and-coming pop star, Anna (who is Pan, and still trying to get beyond a very difficult and toxic relationship), always idolized and loved Eden while growing up. Eden, not long divorced from her husband and never really had a childhood because she’s been a pop star since a young teen, is no longer a favorite in the music world, no longer winning the awards, and needs to bring in an opening act to sell out her upcoming tour - enter Anna. The two form a quick friendship, even with the 10 year age difference, which the fans start “shipping”… and confusing Eden like nothing else (because she’s straight, right?!).

So many great smiles and great feelings while reading this one - only heavy emotions felt in the places they are intended, and not a book or storyline that will bring you down. Mostly light and just feel-good. I 1000% recommend this to everybody! You will not be disappointed!!

Rachel Lacey is a solid story teller. Anna Moss (27) is a rising pop star. She is moved to music after playing a teen on a successful tv show. Eden Sands (36) has been in the music business since she was discovered at 16. Both are celebrities but Eden is more famous and known. She is also recently divorced from her actor husband. After the duo team up to sing a duet at the Grammy’s, Eden invites Anna to be the opening act on her concert tour. It is a win-win for both of them.

The friendship between them is sweet. Anna is crushing on Eden but really wants to be her friend. She tries to get her out of the hotel room and enjoy cities they visit to mixed success. Eden’s growing personal interest in Anna is handled well. They are there to support each other and communication is key to every move. The fall out moment is brief and didn’t really fit the characters but it resolves quickly.

Celebrity romances are sometimes hit or miss for me. But I totally recommend this one for its communication and easy going sweetness. Thank you to NetGalley and Montlake for the ARC in exchange for an honest review.

After reading Read Between the Lines and No Rings Attached, I was drawn to this new release from Rachel Lacey. And honestly, this book did not disappoint. I thoroughly enjoyed the character development and the way the relationship was developed.

I loved both Anna and Eden so much (I now want to call my non existent child Eden!) and I really connected to both characters.

This was such a light, fluffy cute slowburn romance and I did enjoy it a lot but I have to note that it did take me a while to get through - i enjoyed it when I'd been reading for a while but didn't have the "I NEED TO KNOW WHAT HAPPENS" urge to pick it up.

I can't wait to see what is next from this author!

I really enjoyed the first 75% of this book but the ending ruined it for me. I love a one (or both) of us is famous trope and this book had plenty of that. I thought there was enough chemistry between Eden and Anna. But I couldn't with the ending.

I had high hopes for this book, but I spent most of the time I was reading it wishing that it was a different novel in my hands. Want a Hollywood sapphic romance with a power dynamic that the protagonists have to work through? Try "Something to Talk About." Want a 30-something woman figuring out that she loves women? "Astrid Parker Doesn't Fail" is the book for you. And this is not me saying that there can't be multiple books with the same themes—I think it would be amazing if there were more stories in this space—but this one didn't do it for me.

The qualms I had were specific to the writing, not necessarily the plot or the characters. The storytelling just felt simplistic, and the dialogue reminded me of a Hallmark movie. It was cute, and I wanted to like it, but I felt like I was slogging my way through tropes and characters that were written to be perfect at relationships (until they weren't). So overall this was OK, bordering on fine, but I just didn't enjoy it enough to justify anything beyond that.

This was my first book by Rachel Lacey, and it won’t be my last.

Eden’s popularity is dwindling and can no longer compete with the up and coming singers. It’s suggested she duets her new song with up and coming pop sensation Anna.

There’s some jealousy on Eden’s part, but major fan girling from Anna. The two strike up a friendship, and things soon become romantic between them. Things were very sweet, and cutesy. It came together well to be a lovely read.

One thing about me, I love a good celebrity romance. I also like my romance to be SOFT and comforting, at least for the most part. So I absolutely hit the jackpot here.

This was such a lovely sapphic celebrity romance. For the most part, these characters communicated so well and were so understanding with each other, which felt really nice to read. Eden figuring out her sexuality was relatable and I thought it was handled really well, without creating unnecessary conflict surrounding it. I could have done without the third-act conflict, but that could just be a me issue. I did see where the characters were coming from, but it felt a little out of character for them to suddenly stop communicating well.

Rachel Lacey is one of my favorite sapphic romance authors! I don’t usually read singer/celebrity romances but I’ve always wanted a sapphic one (in fact, I even tried to write one lol), so this was like a fantasy for me.

Anna and Eden had so much chemistry! I love it when a character thinks they’re straight until they meet the love interest and realize they’re actually gay af. Sexual awakenings are so good and fun to read when they’re well and respectfully written! Eden’s was the best. She discovered a whole new world thanks to Anna and the new feelings she experiences. They were truly good together. They also have an age gap that wasn’t my favorite thing if I admit it, but it made sense for them.

I also loved the celebrity side of the book. They were so cute singing together. I enjoyed the tour too, so much hotel content! I love hotels in romance. The disguised sightseeing was so fun. Another thing I’ve noticed is that every time Vermont is mentioned in a book, it’s always said that it’s a really beautiful place. I want to visit sooo bad!

This was so sweet and a really fun read! The spice was great and I felt like the slow burn had such a nice pay off. I especially loved the final line of the book and that the characters took time to communicate instead of needless miscommunication.

There were a few moments that felt a bit cheesy to me and therefore fell a little flat, but it didn’t hinder my enjoyment of the book too much. Overall, I really enjoyed this.

This book was SUCH an interesting read. I love celebrities in books, and I love sapphic romance books, so this was right up my alley. Seeing the characters all growing and realizing things about themselves through the book really kept me invested in the story. I read this whole book on the day of the 2023 Grammy’s, so it really felt real at times.

A really enjoyable sapphic celebrity romance between two famous singers. It was easy to read and both characters were likeable. I didn’t love the conflict at the end, but it thankfully didn’t last for long. Thanks to NetGalley and the publisher for an Advanced Review Copy.

Coming out on 5/2/23, this celeb romance was a super fun read that hooked me pretty early. I typically feel like celebrity books are kind of cheesy, but I liked how the characters talked about their differing levels of fame, and it made it feel more realistic. I loved watching Eden’s journey and was so glad about her happy ending - she deserved it!! Add this to your TBR, queue up a good playlist, and get ready for Anna & Eden’s slow burn romance.

For me Rachel Lacey does it again. I fall in love with her characters every single time. Rachel’s writing style hooks me from page one.

Eden is a famous singer, who’s been around for two decades. Lately Eden isn’t connecting with her fans like she used to, so her team have an idea of touring with a rising star. Anna is a pop star who’s taking the world by storm. Anna has been a huge fan of Eden’s forever, and jumps at the opportunity to tour together. Eden, on the other hand isn’t so thrilled.

Stars Collide is a cute romance about two pop stars falling for one another while on tour. I loved the character development, Eden and Anna are grounded and real as they navigate a new relationship on the road. The ending was a little rushed for my taste, but overall it’s a solid story!

I loved everything about this book! Two celebrities, one who's a household name and another who's up and coming. The latter knows she's not straight and the former having not a clue. The up and comer having always had a huge crush on the other! My inner fangirl came to life! Rachel Lacey has a way with words. A beautiful way of portraying what her characters inner emotions are in a way that often puts tears in my eyes. Stars Collide will not disappoint! This is one of those books that as soon as you finish the last page, you wish you could read it all over again like it was the first time. It's a book that stays with you, that lives in your mind in the best way. I couldn't recommend this book more and I can't wait to read it again!

i recently received an arc of “stars collide” by rachel lacey, a sapphic celebrity romance novel through netgalley (thank you!!). i really enjoyed this book, i thought the characters were likable and i was rooting for their relationship the whole time. there was a good amount of romance mixed with a bit of spice, and overall it kept me very entertained and wanting to continue reading! i also thought it was nice that the book focused on themes of figuring out your identity later in life and being an “older” woman in hollywood, where for some reason there’s often an expiration date on women’s fame. it also mentioned other themes in hollywood and queer relationships that i really thought we’re dealt with well, they didn’t take away from the atmosphere of the book but also weren’t glorified which i thought was nice! overall i had a lot of fun reading this book and i definitely would recommend it! check it out when it comes out on may 2nd!

This was such a fun, sweet celebrity romance! I absolutely loved it and I loved Eden and Anna. Their falling in love was just so tender and I loved seeing Eden's journey of self-discovery. Sometimes I don't really like slow burn because it can be just too slow, but this was just perfect. Rachel Lacey has definitely become a must-read author and Stars Collide only cemented that fact!
