i really enjoyed this small town read about three sisters who reunite after their aunt passes away at their childhood home. Leah, Emma and Sadie have to mend the rifts between them and hopefully grow closer again i cant wait to read more by this author.

this is the first book I've read by this author and I found it to be an enjoyable read. It was a nice clean story, if predictable. I would be interested in continuing to read books by this author

I enjoyed the story and the characters. It was fun to watch them grow, share and mature. I felt as though it brought warmth into the story making it seem…real.
I loved being on this journey with the Burke sisters. It was such a delight reading their story.
It was a sweet and engaging story about love, secrets, misunderstandings, and friendship. I found the characters well developed and the story well written, I thoroughly enjoyed it.

I really loved this story of Emma, Leah and Sadie as they go back to their Aunt's home , all except Emma . who lives there. Years ago after a fight between Leah and Sadie those two left town. This book is about the past, family and trying to let the past go. It is a GOOD READ,

What a great story about family and sisters in particular. This story has secrets, betrayal, (real or imagined), forgiveness, and love. Leah, Sadie, and Emma were dealt a raw deal in life and ended up on the porch of the house belonging to their Aunt Viv. The story of these 4 ladies is quite interesting and has some twists and turns that they must handle. It was great to watch them deal with the situations in their lives and to see the growth in each of them. I would like to have another book that shows what happens in the next chapters of their lives. I received this book from NetGalley, but my opinion is my own.

Leah, the oldest, divorcing her husband, with two daughters and no clear view of the future. Sadie, the middle sister and the cause of the betrayal, lost with no home, no job, and no money. Emma, the youngest, who never left their home and felt trapped by her lack of choices. All three reunite when their Aunt Vivian dies and her large Victorian home is now theirs. All three lives are upended and solutions are not easy to come by.

The Heirloom Inn is a story of loss, love, betrayal and forgiveness. After 15 years apart, three estranged sisters are brought together again by the death of the aunt that helped to raise them. They have a complicated relationship because of the betrayal of one sister but they share a common goal in saving the home that has been in their family for generations. In the process of turning the home into an Inn, they try to reconnect and mend their broken relationship.

This was a relatively easy read. I liked that the chapters alternated the point of view of each of the three sisters. I think this helps to establish the characters and helps the reader to better understand them. I have read a few other novels by Olivia Myles and sadly, this was not my favorite. There were some very touching moments that left me teary eyed but for the most part, I felt like something was lacking. There was plenty of conflict among the sisters but there was no real tension. It just sort of hummed along. No big secrets or shocking events to keep your attention. The storyline was pretty predictable. I found the characters to be a little bland. Emma was very passive and it was not an appealing character trait. Leah let people believe she had the perfect life. She felt inauthentic and fake and this made her rather unlikeable to me. Sadie was my favorite sister. She was complicated and misunderstood but even she felt a little blah at times. I felt the story deserved more than 3 stars but wasn’t quite a 4 star read so I landed in the middle at 3 ½ stars.

The Heirloom Inn is an inspiring story about coming home and finding home. Raised by an aunt after the death of their parents three estranged sisters must figure out what to do with the house they have inherited and coincidentally what their future paths will be. The author has created characters and emotions that readers easily can relate to. The journey to the book’s end is very satisfying. I voluntarily reviewed an advance copy of this book from NetGalley. Most highly recommend.

This was an overall easy read. It had secrets, family drama, healing, and second chances. I loved the points of view from each sister and seeing how they grew throughout the book!

A sweet, engaging book with characters I enjoyed spending time with.

A little too formulaic for me but still a decent summer read-the book was filled with every trope that one expects from a romance novel that centers around an old inn and that did it no favors.

Thoroughly enjoyable. I thought the characters were believable and likeable, showing how easily it is for families to splinter over one mistake. Great descriptions of the location and town and the people in it.
The tiny little thing that jarred me was the overuse of the word, 'pinched', other than that, it was an entertaining story.

Three sisters are bought back together after their beloved aunt has passed away. Two older sisters have left the small town in Door County to find life elsewhere. The youngest remained to take care of their aunt and the family home. What follows is a story of forgiveness and hidden stories from the past about their aunt and their parents. What to do about the family home is the stimulus for the sisters to reunite and put their past lives behind. A little slow in parts, but a good read.

The Heirloom Inn is a story of three sisters and how their lives have evolved since the two oldest are not in contact with each other due to something that happened between them fifteen years before. Emma, the youngest and the only one who stayed in the small town where they were raised by their aunt, has limited contact with both of them. But history seems to be repeating itself due to some family dynamics they learn about after their aunt's passing.

Leah, Sadie and Emma tell the story in alternating chapters. There are heartwarming and heartbreaking moments. Their story is filled with secrets, anger, angst, hurt, gossipers, small town happenings, family, friends and neighbors, dreams, first loves, unrequited love, romance and love. We get to know each of them and observe them let some of their walls down when they have a shared goal. We see their relationships with others and how each of them wish for their lives to be different. Will sharing a goal be enough to bring them together and make them a family once again?

There are twists and turns to the story along with beautiful descriptions that painted pictures in my mind. There is nice closure but I wish the book would have gone on a little longer. The cover is vibrant and drew me in.

Three sisters seems to be a trope that many authors are employing and I always find the interactions fascinating. Heirloom Inn didn't disappoint as I rode the rollercoaster with the three sisters and some of their best friends whom they had left behind. I've only read a few books by Ms. Miles previously but plan to read more.

Quick and easy read, 3.5 stars

This is the story of Leah, Sadie and Emma. They are estranged and get back together after 15 years following the death of their Aunt Viv who raised them after the death of their parents. You soon find out why they're estranged: Sadie slept with Leah's boyfriend, and after that fight they all broke up and never made amends. Sadie moved to New York, Leah to Chicago and Emma stayed behind in the small town village with her aunt. All three seem to have their lives in order, but that is not the case for either of them. Sadie has been dumped and fired by her boss, and she also has no place to live. Leah is soon-to-be divorced, and Emma has a longtime crush on Wyatt, who has a girlfriend. All three need comfort and security, and struggle with feelings of guilt, insecurity and feeling lost and displaced. Because the house is heavily mortgaged, their aunt left them no savings and they have no income, the girls decide to turn the house into an inn. Selling isn’t an option because that would mean they need to come up with the money to pay the bank. I liked that they have doubts about the plans but they don’t talk about it because of their strained relationship. Just like in real life it’s not always clear what the right thing to do is, and whether you will be successful.
The story is told from three perspectives. Each sister’s point of view alternates with each chapter, but without overlap, so it is written very well. The writer has done a great job of describing the complex feelings one feels in a prolonged conflict. All the complex emotions, wanting to get it resolved but not being able to get this done because there are so many hurt feelings back and forth, but also the people around them; the reputation you have, shattered hopes and dreams and the ramifications of certain decisions. There’s reflection on what could’ve been… Beautifully and realistically written. Although I'm having a hard time with the storyline of one sister sleeping with another sister’s boyfriend, it does explain the years of estrangement between Leah and Sadie. I just wished it didn’t happen; that it was only kissing or fooling around. I cannot imagine anyone crossing THAT line with the partner of your sister! So I have to deduct points for that. But besides that, it was a good story, well thought out, with depth and a lot of soul-searching.

I loved it. Despite it being starting on a little slower note in the beginning. It was highly enjoyable afternoon read for me. Also I really loved how entertaining the characters were.

An interesting new women’s fiction novel about three estranged sisters who’ve come back together to bury the aunt who raised them. She’s left them everything she owned, namely her large home, and the sister’s must decide whether to sell it, or keep it as a bed and breakfast. The youngest sister, Emma has always lived there with their aunt. The middle sister left years ago after an incident, and has been barely making ends meet in New York. The oldest sister married and has two children, and is getting divorced. The two oldest barely want to speak to each other much less divulge what’s happening in their private lives. The story is setup with each sister having a chapter from her point of view throughout the book. I found quite a bit of the dialogue repetitive about their inner turmoil over their current personal situations. THE HEIRLOOM INN is a good read if you stay reading on it steadily, though, to see what changes and choices each sister makes at the end.
