Can't help but to love it!

Zariah Banks delivers a juicy and sexual romance novel that comes with all the fixings. Each turn of a page bumps up the heat and leaves you holding your breath and mouth wide open.

Patience Hampton is a young, smart and career driven, and recognizes her own emotional flaws that stimmed from her childhood but she does not allow those issues to affect how she lives her life, or carry her relationships… at least she doesn’t try to.

While out of town at a work related team building conference in Atlanta and fresh out of an unhealthy five year relationship with her boyfriend Daniel, Patience realizes some changes needed to be made and those changes had to start with her. So she decides to focus on herself, and her thriving career as a marketing and advertising executive in her hometown of Cleveland, Ohio.
But just as she is starting to make those changes and shifts her focus in the right direction, she meets by chance, "Mr. Charisma, or better known as Lennox Davenport. Patience is taken back by his flawless manly features. He seems to have it all, he's tall, dark and handsome and his laid back, gentle personality precedes him. He's intelligent, just like she likes her men and he works as a software engineer.

Patience immediately falls for him, but soon finds out that Mr. Charisma does come with one big flaw, he lives and works in Atlanta. Is she really ready to embrace a new committed long distance relationship especially so soon and is she really over her long term relationship with Daniel?
Is he enough long term or will he be that one night stand that she needs to get her over the committed relationship hump and carry her to the next relationship?
Does Lennox have what it takes to help Patience heal and grow, or is her emotional baggage to much for him to deal with?

This story will have you so enthralled you will have a hard time putting it down. It's a story of love, hurt, healing, and forgiveness, along with friendships, and family commitments.

I really enjoyed reading this book so much, it was not too long and definitely not boring. I loved how relationships were handled and how family was important to all the characters. I would recommend this reading to all mature audiences.

**It contains sex, sexual content, and profanity**

Thank you NetGalley and publisher for ARC of Beauty Beheld in exchange for a fair and honest review. The cover and title immediately drew me in - and this was an enjoyable read.

Patience was a sharp, witty and real character. Who hasn't felt like she has? The humour was genuine, and was my favourite part of this novel.

<spoiler>However I just can't seem to get past Lennox's calling her out for self-sabotage and putting her needs second when the pattern seems to continue when she dates him. He's not interested in casual flings, and that's all she's after immediately after her break up. She's got past-trauma from long distance relationships and doesn't want one, but that's what Lennox needs. It seems counter-intuitive....</spoiler>

The ending felt a bit rushed and left me frustrated. This novel will be forming part of a series, but I'm probably not so hooked that I'll be continuing with the future installments.

What first attracted me the most to this book was its name that caught my attention and once I read the description I just needed to read it. I enjoyed reading this book and while some chapters felt a bit like it was dragging I still could not stop reading them, it was funny, sexy, witty and relatable to read and I will definitely recommend it.
I found myself rooting for the characters in the book and their journey somehow felt like something I had experienced. One thing I will say is it felt short at the end or maybe I wanted to read more and find out what comes next.

At first glance, this cover instantly drew me in. I wanted to know more about the main character pictured and her story. I enjoyed this edgy read by a debut author. Zariah's spunk lends life to each character and creates a quick and interesting pace for the story. She's also very good at creating easy and natural dialogue between the characters that feels right - without too much "telling". As a huge fan of dialogue-heavy books, I finished this book a lot faster than I expected.

Patience is meh-hess-y, chile. But the girl just can't help it, which makes her lovable. She doesn't realize the shadow work that's necessary for her to prevent the pattern of unfruitful relationships that have become her life. Instead of adopting a woe-is-me attitude after a very bad breakup, she attempts to focus on herself in order to manifest the dreams she's placed on hold while holding up a man who she thought she would marry. Of course, that's when Lennox enters the picture. He's everything she's ever wanted but knows she's nowhere near ready for. So what's a girl to do? Good thing Lennox doesn't allow Patience's habitual self-sabotaging tendencies to dash their dreams of finding out whether their initial undeniable attraction was the real thing or nah. Sexy, smart, and persistent? What's not to love about this luscious leading man?

I laughed, I cried, I hollered, and mentally choked Patience a time or two. But I enjoyed every moment spent with this book. I highly recommend this to anyone who enjoys mildly flawed characters, a hefty dose of humor, and a good sense of love and community with a happy ending!

Contains sex, profanity, addiction, childhood trauma, and abandonment.

Thank you to NetGalley and the author for an advance copy of this novel in exchange for an honest review.
