This is a good book. The two main characters are Brandy and Beau. They have known each other all their lives. They dated in high school but broke up for Beau to start his musical career. He went on to be a super star. Brandy found out she was pregnant right after they broke up. She had a son but never told Beau about him until twenty years later, when they eventually found each other again. They started dating. They declared their love and got engaged.

Well, I don't read novellas, didn't realise this is one. Its under 2000kb and books I usually read are between 4-5000kb so it felt very truncated.
The reason they don't gel with me is they feel rushed, I never feel plots get time to develop properly, before racing on to the next one.

That's exactly what happened here, it feels like every romance trope going is crammed into one short novel, and nothing really gets fleshed out. Something is barely mentioned, before its happened and over. I want to get to know characters, understand them, I want plots that will play out in their entirety, and I felt that if this book had been twice the length I may well have loved it, but as it is...well, I just didn't really connect.
If you like short stories, novellas etc then this could be perfect for you, everyone wants different things, but for me it just fell short.

Stars: Two and a half, not really one for me as I've explained, not the book, just my taste. If you like shorter reads could be perfect.

This book torn me up, made me cry, laugh and root for all characters involved. This book is told from the two main characters points of view, Brandy and Beau. Brandy is a loving mother and Beau is a Rockstar! Who doesn't love a hot Rockstar story? This was such an amazing book that I finished it in one day! This is one book you don't want to miss!

Well written and keeps you turning the pages to see where it will take you next. It has enough humor, emotions, and passion to keep the story interesting. Nice and relaxing spicy read.

This is a low-angst, steamy romance full of tropes--rockstar, second chance, secret baby, fake fiancee...and even a few more thrown in for good measure! It was pretty strong insta-love and while there was a lot of humor, the characters said and did things that were so outlandish that it jarred me out of even this type of story. Still, anyone looking for a light, spicy read for a little mental vacation may find exactly what they need here.
