Ana Huang can do no wrong with her balance of prose and spice. The arranged marriage/forced proximity continues to prove to be the Superior Trope, nobody can convince me otherwise. Two adults slowly fall in love with great character development, pacing, and realistic conversations surrounding their situation. I loved witnessing their relationship develop. The Incredible pacing - I cannot stress this enough - was the highlight of this novel. I was so concerned with a third-act breakup happening in the last 30 pages, but Huang's pacing was impeccable.
The only reason this fell short of being a perfect book for me is the lie-by-omission trope and the eye-rolling moments when it came back to haunt them. You know how the book is going to go from the beginning and it underdelivers in that aspect. There is nothing wrong with romance being predictable because it is formulaic, but the third-act was so frustrating because it wasn't necessary.

As soon as I heard we were getting arranged marriage and forced proximity I was all over this book. I was counting down the days and whatever I thought this book was going to be it was absolutely better. Vivian is the respectful society heiress and she will just about do anything for her family, including getting married to the controlling and cold Dante Russo. Dante didn't want to get engaged to Vivian but the threat of blackmail keeps him from backing down. Imagine his rage that the daughter of his enemy has to live with him and he has to pretend to love her. He will do anything to stop the wedding but soon this "business" arrangement starts to change when feelings get involved. Vivian knows Dante is arrogant and rude but she also sees the vulnerable and loving man buried beneath the surface. The development of their relationship took some time but it was so nice to just see them go from friendly truce to fiery passion. Their chemistry was off the charts, their banter and flirting was immensely cute and I was falling for them on every page. Dante is such a hot head and he makes mistakes but OH MY GOD his groveling? It was top tier, so in love with his character development...and his dirty mouth.

Dante thrives on control in every aspect of his life. So when one of his brother's mistakes forces him to marry Vivian, he is very unhappy about it... until he realizes that he can't let her go.
This is book 1 in the Kings of Sin series. It's an arranged marriage, forced proximity, enemies to lovers romance told in dual POV with great tension. It was a bit similar to the Twisted series book, but I can't wait to read Kai's story in book 2!
I received an advance review copy for free and I am leaving this review voluntarily.

WOWOWOW. I absolutely adored this book. Dante and Vivian are everything. I went into this a little blind of their arranged marriage and didnβt know the reason for it or exactly how the dynamic would work and I loved everything about it! Seeing how they connected over time was just so sweet. I loved how they opened up to each other. They were just adorable and Dante was so dreamy. Such an enjoyable read and I cannot wait to read about Kai & Isabella.
If you enjoyed the twisted series youβll love this as well!

ANA HUANG HAS DONE IT AGAIN! Sexy, heartbreaking, and dark! You actually see the romance bloom and the sparks fly! Would recommend!

This book has a serious case of first book in a series for me. I liked it, yes, I had a great time reading it, I loved most of it... but I was way more interested in the side characters and the clues for their books than I was in Dante and Vivian.
So, to focus on this book first, I loved Vivian so much. She was a great heroine and I would've liked to see more of her professional side and her friendship with Isabella and Sloane, but I loved what we got of her. I liked Dante, in fact, Ana is one of the few authors that can make me actually like the broody alpha heroes with daddy/mommy issues, but after knowing Alex, Rhys and Christian... they stay at the top of my Ana Huang universe book boyfriends. The romance was good and the steam was amazing. The limo scene served! The blackmail plot didn't annoy me, which is also something that only Ana can achieve, and I like how everything about it wrapped up.
Now, about the side characters... I can't stress this enough: Isabella and Kai are going to be the It Couple. Isabella is so amazing!? And her pet SNAKE!? Come ooonnn gimme King of Pride right now. I also have a theory that Kai is Christian's brother... so I need to know if I'm right. I also hope Dominic and Alessandra get a marriage in crisis book! And Sloane with the soccer guy maybe??? I am so excited for what's coming in the series!
TW: Violence, armed robbery

I forgot how good Ana Huang is at writing. While I did not like some of the Twisted Series books, I loved the writing styles of them all. I am super excited for the next book which is Isabella and Kai's book. I loved the chemistry between Dante and Vivian. It was electric. I still really hate Vivian's Dad, he is an ass. Her mom is less of an ass but still an ass.
This book is a standalone HEA, billionaire romance, arranged marriage, and THANK GOD NO CHEATING!

I have been looking forward to reading Vivian and Dante's story since their cameo in Ana Huang's Twisted series. I thought they were an intriguing couple and after reading this book, I was right. I'm glad they have their own book! "King of Wrath" is surprisingly not bad. After what I read from the Twisted series... well, I expected something akin to that and I guess that's also somewhat true. Dante was like the tamer version of Alex Volkov from "Twisted Lies." Their "dilemma" was almost entirely similar, daddy issues and all that jazz. But Dante was a better person. He didn't kill anyone, for one. Overall, I liked this book. It was okay. The smut scene was of course redundant just like Ana Huang's other books. But I don't really care at this point. I really can't wait for the next book, I already love Isabella and Kai!

βThatβs six reasons,β Dante said. βI can work with six. I can even work with a thousand.β My chest ached. βDanteβ¦β βYou donβt think weβre a good idea, but Iβll prove we are.β Determination lined his jaw, but his voice and lips were soft as they brushed my forehead. βGive me time, mia cara. Ana Huang writes books faster than I can read them. Do they all feel basically the same?? Yes. Will I EAT THEM UP EVERY TIME? Also, yes. I genuinely enjoy them, even if it gets repetitive.
After the Twisted Series, we only had a small glimpse at billionaire romance written by Ana, and with seven books in this series, I'm sure we will get our fill. I sincerely hope that they have some individuality in the actual story and characters and plot.
The storyline and characters in this one were pretty good, I'd say. It's just hard when you can tell that they're setting up for the next book within this one. Because then, I feel like the focus shifts to the next couple before we've even said goodbye to the one we are on.
I'm still gonna read them all and enjoy them all. Ana's writing has definitely improved the longer she goes on. I'll be patiently waiting for the next installment

Thank you to NetGalley for an ARC of King of Wrath for my honest opinion
4.5 stars Loved it! Dante is blackmailed into an arranged marriage with Vivian. What starts out as enemies slowly turns into lovers. Dante is pissed to be strong armed into an unwanted marriage while Vivian is reluctantly following through out of a sense of duty to her family. Forced proximity forces these two to get to know each other and walls begin to crumble. Even though Dante never stops looking for a way out his heart is starting to hold on. Great introduction into their family and friend group with a setup for the next book. I flew through this and can't wait to see what comes next.

Thanks Netgalley for this ARC.
I enjoyed this quite a lot. Dante is definitely the protective alpha-hole type. Touch her and you die vibes.
The spice and banter was excellent.
Perfect for those who like:

Jewelery heiress

Arranged Marriage
Dislike to lovers

This was sooo cute. Iβm so I live with this author and I canβt wait to read the next book! I thought I loved the twisted series and this was even better! I was able to meet the author at the Booktok event and I was so happy! I love the nicknames and the enemies to lovers aspect!

This is my first time reading an Ana Huang book! I first heard about her from Instagram reels/Ticktoks that were exclaiming about the Twisted series. King of Wrath is a great arranged marriage, forced proximity, enemies to lovers book! I usually am not a fan popular books, but this one was really good! Highly recommend, the writing is swoon worthy and exciting. Dante and Vivian are a great pair and the story flows so smoothly. I can't wait fro King of Pride

I loved Ana Huangβs Twisted series! So I was super excited to see this spin off series. King of Wrath was super spicy. Dante was introduced in the Twisted series but we didnβt know much about him. The chemistry between him and Vivian was π₯π₯π₯. Iβve never read an arranged marriage trope before but I enjoyed it! Canβt wait for the next book in this series!

Ana Huang does not miss. The plot is so good and the spice is on the level fans have come to expect. I cannot wait for the next book in the series!
Vivian is a great main character due to her being so relatable. The relationship she has with her family and the way she grows into herself by standing up for herself was amazing.
Dante is not my favorite in the Huang-verse but definitively in the top 3.

King of Wrath is an exquisitely written love story. What starts out with a billionaire, blackmail and arranged marriage becomes an explorative story of finding out who you are without familial and societal expectations. Dante is one of the worldβs richest men. He manages his familyβs business, is known as one of the sexiest men alive and is Italian- American. As the story progresses you get to read bits of Italian. Itβs quite beautiful.
Vivian is the daughter of a ruthless jewelry businessman who will stop at nothing to attain fame and status. He wonβt stop at marrying his daughters off to better his standing in social circles. Vivian is Chinese - American, her culture of respecting her family and what they have sacrificed to give her the best life is a major focal point. Vivian has a close knit group of best friends who help her smile, she is detail oriented and meticulous. I was rooting for her the whole time.
One of my favorite parts was the library scene. The library description continues; this is just a snippet. It will give you goosebumps and their moments within are heart-racing.
βThousands of books stretched up and across three walls towards the cathedral ceiling like a leather-bound forest complete with rolling ladders and wooden handrails."
I highly recommend this book. I loved it.

Can Ana Huang do any wrong?! Iβm not going to lieβ¦ trying to follow up from this Twisted series honestly made me so nervous but Ana DID NOT disappoint!!! Dante and Vivian were everything! I loved their story so much. Vivianβs vibes were immaculate! Like gossip girl but betterβ¦ badderβ¦ just amazing. I can NOT wait until King of Pride. Ana is always a one click buy for me, paper back, Kindle and Audible. I honestly need all 3 every time. Count down is on!!

If you loved the Twisted series, you will want to read this one for sure. It was so good and a great way to get a glimpse of the Twisted world you likely miss. If you read that series youβll remember Dante appearing in a few of those, specifically with Vivian at a dinner party. Well, this book gives you that whole background including a different POV of that same dinner. It was so well done and love how she mixed the two series. Definitely check this one out!

I absolutely loved the Twisted series by Ana Huang and boy did she deliver with this spin off series so far.
Dante Russo is ruthless and arrogant. Vivian Lau is well mannered and ambitious.
Marriage of convenience, dual pov, spice, banter, major βthatβs my wifeβ/βtouch her and dieβ energy.
I loved Dante when we met him in the twisted series and loved the crossover in this book with Christian and Stella.
Keep βem coming Ana Huang and Iβll keep loving them.
