This is my first time reading this author and I was excited to receive this ARC since I have heard great things about her books. I thought it was a good love story but was quite predictable. I do love forced marriage tropes and I feel this was done well. I liked the easiness of the relationship between Dante and Vivian once they decided they actually liked each other. That being said I never really felt connected to either main character. Overall, I liked the plot, the trope, and it's fast paced and easy to read.

I will preface by saying I wasn't a big fan of Ana Huang through her Twisted series. I was never able to finish the first three and barely got through the final. But that really changed with this series. The main characters were both easily likeable and the reader understood each of their decisions, no matter how dumb or wrong they were. Thankfully, there wasn't any cringey scenes that I found often in the Twisted series though I'll happily critique over the ice cream scene. I would happily recommend this book to others if they wanted to start Huang's works. Don't start with the Twisted series, this one is one million times better.

I have high expectations from this book as I have read many great reviews from Huang's Twisted series. It's a good love story but I kinda find the plot predictable and I could not really connect with the two.

I recently finished reading "King of Wrath" by Ana Huang, and I have mixed feelings about it. On one hand, I loved the forced marriage trope that the author expertly wove into the plot. It added a layer of tension and drama that kept me on the edge of my seat throughout the book.

However, I couldn't help but feel like I've read this type of story before in other Ana Huang books. While her writing style is engaging and easy to read, it does make the plot feel somewhat predictable. That being said, the characters were well-developed and their growth throughout the story was satisfying to watch.

Overall, I would recommend "King of Wrath" to fans of Ana Huang's previous works and to anyone looking for a quick and entertaining read. It may not break new ground in terms of plot, but the author's talent for creating compelling characters and tense situations is still very much present.

This was just full of so much tension and angst that it kind of got boring for me. I still really enjoyed the plot and characters but the tension is sometimes a hit or miss.

Ms. Huang builds a beautiful world that really makes you want to dive into the pages. If you're a fan of her Twisted series, this is right up your alley!

While I did enjoy this book it wasn’t my favorite by the author. I didn’t love the whole concept that Dante was being forced to marry Vivian and she didn’t know. I did however, love the witty banter and sexual tension. It’s enemies to lovers, forced proximity marriage of convenience. I wasn’t the biggest fan of Dante’s touch her and you die possessiveness, I thought it was a little much a times. I did like how they both fell in love with each other over time.

Vivian has always done what's been expected of her so when her father tells her she's to be married to Dante Russo she does what she's always done, smiles, and says okay. Dante is a handsome, rich, jerk, and Vivian might kill him before the wedding actually takes place. As time progresses, the two seem to at least be able to tolerate each other. Is it strictly business, or is it developing into something more?

I really enjoyed this book. I liked how Vivian didn't take any crap from Dante. It was an enjoyable read. This was my first book by Ana Huang and I can't wait to read more

I loved this book! I was hesitant going into a new series of Ana Huang's because her twisted series was SOO good, but this exceeded all my expectations! I also love how it tied in with characters from the twisted series.

King of Wrath is an arranged marriage, forced proximity, billionaire, spicy romance book. Dante Russo is blackmailed into marrying Vivian Lau, the enemies daughter. They both aren't happy about the marriage for their own reasons but once stuck together they both start to have a change of heart.

I liked this book a lot and would 1000% recommend this to someone looking for an easy/spicy romance read.

I was pleasantly surprised by this book! I had tried to read one of Huang's previous novels, Twisted Love, and hadn't really enjoyed it. But this one was so charming and fun. It helped that both main characters felt like real people with struggles who make mistakes. Plus they had great chemistry and it was enjoyable watching their story unfold. Overall, I'd definitely recommend this if you like spicy, modern-day romance.

Scrumptious! I read this book so fast! It was everything that I needed to get out of my current reading slump. The writing, the characters and the plot were all perfect! I’m so excited to read the rest of this series… it’s sensational. I loved both of the main characters and their POV’s. Vivian was strong and worked hard when she didn’t have to, she had strong family values and was so sweet and kind at the same time. Dante was controlling and arrogant, but you get to see the drama and the way he was raised and you understand why he is the way that he is. I love that he melts for Vivian, and all the little moments that the reader gets to see. I thought that Ana Huang’s writing was amazing, it flowed natural like a stream. Once I started reading, I couldn’t stop. I knew where the conflict was going to come from, but I was all here for it! I think that if your into the troupe that you are really going to like it.

Oh what a delightful mind escape this book turned out to be! I always have a tiny dose of apprehension when there is a lot of hype around an author or a book - I mean it's hard NOT to have certain expectations. This story hit all the right spots for me - if you like a bit of spice in your romance stories (but lean a bit more towards the romance part of things), enemies to lovers, forced proximity, "touch her and I'll kill you" MMCs, all wrapped in a world of wealth and glamour, you will definitely enjoy this one!

Dante is tall, dark, handsome and broody. Vivian is a dutiful daughter of a wealthy family whose dad wants to elevate himself from the status of "new money" by marrying his daughter of to Dante whose family is "old money". These kinds of stories are not about twists and surprises but there is enough intrigue and tension built into King of Wrath to make it engaging. As Kings of Sin is meant to be a series of interconnected standalones I love that characters of future stories were introduced into this one. (already looking forward to Kai and Isabelle's story)

This was a super cute comfort read. I enjoyed every second of getting to know Vivian and Dante, the challenges they faced and the world they inhabit. Travelling internationally at a moments notice is definitely my idea of romance. I found Ana Huang's writing style very engaging and I could easily see myself saving her books as my travel read picks (the kind of books that add an extra layer of relaxation). I am definitely a fan. And I am definitely reading the rest of the series! If you are looking for your next romance read, this one should be at the top of your list.

Arraigned Billionaire Marriage, Forced Proximity, Blackmail, Enemies to Lovers. This book was right up my alley. I loved the banter between Dante and Vivian. I think that can be steamier that the love scenes to be honest.

This book was 100% enjoyable and I can't wait to continue the series. This is my first read from Anna and I am thankful to her, Bloom Books, and Netgalley for allowing to read this. I will be telling everyone about it.

Whew! I wasn't ready for this one! This series is kicking off with a bang and Ana is an amazing author. I was drawn in with these characters and couldn't get enough of them. Can't wait for the next one!

King of Wrath was a great start to a new series by Ana Huang. Out of loyalty to her family, Vivian Lau agrees to get married to Dante Russo, but what she doesn't know is that her father is secretly blackmailing Dante into marrying her to improve the family's status. The story follows the two main characters as they get to know one another and fall in love.

I loved Vivian and Dante, they were both amazing characters and I was so happy to see both of their growth throughout the book. Their romance was great, and the spicy scenes were great.

I would have given this book 5 stars, but unfortunately there was nothing about this book that was truly unique or made it stand out from the rest. It was a bit predictable, which is great if you're in the mood for that, but I myself would have liked some kind of twist to make this book worthy of 5 stars.

I can't wait to keep reading this series & see what happens to Kai and Isa.

I really wanted to enjoy this book as I’ve for the most part liked Ana’s Twisted series, but unfortunately this one was a bit of a struggle for me. I will start out by saying that it is pretty similar to her past books, so her big fans will probably still really enjoy this one, and that makes me so happy for them. However, that is part of my issue with this book. It feels generic.

I rated this one 3 stars, which is my “like” category. The book is fine. I didn’t dislike reading it or feel like I wasted time, but it is not something I would reread. I found this book really hard to get into. It took me 10 days to finish it because I could only read little bits at a time. I got bored with it pretty easily. Part of this was the characters. I didn’t feel a connection to either of them really. There were a few generic hot book guy lines but nothing about him really wowed me and, while I appreciated Vivian’s generational trauma and her backstory, I still wasn’t super drawn in by her. I felt similarly with Christian and Stella in Twisted Lies. I think after Josh and Jules book, I’ve been a bit underwhelmed by the next couples/books. Both Twisted Lies and King of Wrath have felt like rinse and repeat of her previous books and there was nothing really knew or intriguing about the characters and their stories to make me drawn to them.

I didn’t feel like we had much development of their actual relationship, and the timeline kept skipping weeks at a time, but somehow it still felt like the book dragged on for a while. I wish that there was more witty banter or tension with the forced proximity. It felt like they just happened to live together and avoid each other and then all of the sudden they were hot for each other. I didn’t feel a connection with them that led to this point so it felt a bit out of the blue for me.

I also just felt like nothing really happened in this book? Like I forgot until the end that the whole “drama” was her dad blackmailing him. It just kind of felt like a slow domestic book with a jumpy timeline and characters who were just okay to me. The spice was good though.

I will probably still continue her series in the hopes that I can feel the magic of Twisted Lies again, but I won’t be in a rush to read it and might wait until I can do it on audio. We got a little bit of a teaser with those characters in this book and they seemed to have a bit of chemistry so I’m slightly hopeful for it.

So overall, this book just wasn’t for me. I can see why other people love it, especially people who were fans of Twisted Lies as Christian and Dante felt like very similar characters. I’m hopeful that I will enjoy other books in this series as I’ve liked others of hers more, but this one just wasn’t a total win for me.

I REALLY loved Vivian. I felt like she was a super a strong female lead. The way she stood up to Dante was top-notch. I was here for it.

The banter between her and Dante was perfect and the steeeeaaaaam was steeaaammmiiinnnnn’

It’s a testament to my never ending TBR that I finished the first book in Ana Huang‘s new series on the week that the second book releases 😂 One day we’ll all catch up right?

I absolutely LOVED, adored, cried for and lived for King of Wrath. Dante Russo is for sure a man that any woman would for sure give up anything for & I have never been more jealous of a female lead as I was when it came to Vivian. I mean.. she gets this amazingly fictional man that in no way exists in real life and it’s just not fair 😭😂

King of Wrath was an instant five star for me. The enemies to lovers, arranged marriage, grumpy/sunshine trope just had me feeling all the emotions all at once.

You always know who is going to end up with each other but it is the journey of how they get there that makes these types of books a lot of fun. Never go ny the title of a book to know what the genrs is as I thought it would be a fantasy but it wasn't at all.
Vivian's father blackmails Dante into marrying Vivian. Dante does not want to be married. He is a billionaire and used to calling the shots. Now he needs to find a way out of ths engagement and take down Vivian's father.
I did not like Vivian's parents at all and Dante's parents were strange.
Dante didn't plan on falling in love nor did Vivian.

This was my first Ana Huang book and I can see why her books have gotten so popular. They are definitely tropey and have a formula they follow like typical romances and if your newer to the romance genre they would get you hooked. I did enjoy the overall plot of this book and setting but the pacing was kind of off for me as well as the characters felt pretty two dimensional. This story has been done before in many books and didn't really standout much for me. There were cute yet corny clique moments and the progression of the relationship felt forced in some places. I also didn't have much of a connection to the characters and found myself bored at certain spots. All that to say this was cute for what it was just nothing super unique. I will be trying book two since I did really enjoy the two side characters that book centers around. 3/5 stars

After reading the Twisted series, I was super stoked to jump into this book. It DID NOT disappoint. It was a quick read for me and I savored every word of it. The character building was amazing and the spice was even better! Any cons to this book? A few of the scenes/ verbiage was similar to her past books, but it doesn't change that the book was still great.
