This was a great book. I really loved the layout of this book. It was very interesting and was tailored for those who already know about the subject. I found it very interesting but as I have never read anything on this subject before it washarder to learn from. But it's beauty wasn't lost on me. I just loved all the beautiful pictures and the words was wonderful.
I couldn't review anywhere other than here as I couldn't find the book on goodreads nor amazon UK.

I accessed a digital review copy of this book from the publisher.
The book is formatted so that each section has the original characters followed by a translation, and where needed an explanation of background or translation choice. Throughout the book are beautiful illustrations, many with an explanation as to why they were included in relation to the text.

A beautifully illustrated translation of Tao Te Chilng by Lao Tzu. This puts forth the foundations of Tao. The sentences are easy to understand but contemplation reveals the profoundness of the statements and principals. It is the type of thing you can spend a lifetime thinking about and still finding something new each time you read it.

Oh, and don't forget just how beautiful it is along with the ideas you can get lost in.

Thanks to Netgalley and the publisher for an ARC in exchange for an honest opinion.

This was a nice new translation. There are some words that I would quibble with, but nothing major. I also loved the layout and art, nicely captioned to aid understanding.

This was a beautiful book that I found fascinating. I have heard of Tao Te Ching before but had never read it and I feel like this version was a great way to read it for the first time. The Chinese characters were included above the English translation, the notes on translation from the author were helpful and I loved the illustrations throughout the book. They were beautiful and I found them helpful as I was reading this book.

This is a beautifully laid out book with large margins, readable text and lots of illustrations. There are 4 pages of introduction before all 81 chapters of the Daodejing / Tao Te Ching are translated with the Chinese in large red text and the English translation below in smaller black font.

For anyone looking to read this foundational text of Daoism, a lovely edition.

The book is very pretty, and the illustrations thoughtfully picked and laid out. I will admit this is not what I first expected, featuring a more 'coffee table' format, with the added bonus of having the Chinese text above the translations and notes.
