Thanks to the authors, publisher, and NetGalley for the ARC of this book in exchange for my honest opinion.
I have read all of the books in the Teddy Fay series (this being the 6th one) and find them very enjoyable to read.
I've always thought the Teddy Fay storylines were a little better than the Stone Barrington ones. Certainly a lot less about anyone's sexual conquests, in fact, none at all in this book.
The story takes place in Santa Barbara, CA. There are two subjects in this story. One is the kidnapping of Rebecca and her return and the other is Matthew's obsession of Tess. I leave the rest to you! Read and enjoy the many twists and turns of his characters.
4 stars

As with all of the previous Teddy Fay books, this was an enjoyable read. The interlinked lines, while confusing at times, all came together well at the end. I alway enjoy when Stone Barrington appears and like seeing Peter Barrington & Ben Bacchetti as well.

I've always thought the Teddy Fay storylines were a little better than the Stone Barrington ones. Certainly a lot less about anyone's sexual conquests, in fact, none at all in this book.

I like the two storylines that run parallel, but like Stone and his super hero powers with women, Teddy has has unbelievable powers to defeat bad guys though he does have some useful friends.

Ben gets about four times the page space as in any other book, maybe all of two pages which was nice. However, the character development is as weak as always.

So, as a long time reader I got a slightly better (more involved) storyline than usual, but the rest stayed the same in terms of world and character building.

I got my copy from Netgalley in exchange for my honest review.

Obsession was a good read. I couldn’t put it down definitely felt like I was reading a movie. Multiple twists in the story it was nice having multiple different things happening that built to the heart pounding ending.
Thank you netgalley, publishers and author for this read.

Written by a popular author, this is a cannot put down novel. Mystery and intrigue.
Characters who are mysterious add to this story. Red herrings threw me off, and there were so many secrets. This book was sent to me electronically by Netgalley for review. Thanks to the publisher and the talented author.

Another excellent story by Stuart Woods and Brett Battles that is full of adventure and some unexpected twists and turns. In this case the usual character, Stone Barrington, has only a few bit scenes. The real story here is on the former CIA Agent, Teddy Fay along with several of his various personas. Fay is a master of disguise and this comes in very useful in this story.

Story has two parts that are distinct but interrelated. One involves the kidnapping of this wife of a Croatian billionaire. The second involves the stalking of Ben Bacchetti's wife, who happens to be a movie star working for Centurion Studios, which just happens to be owned by Stone Barrington's son, Peter and the young Bacchetti.

With Croatian mob involvement, Fay and his alter egos have to dig deep and call in help from private security as well as a cybersecurity expert. The climax ties the lose ends of the story together into a thundering climax that leaves the reader wanting more of this type story.

I enjoyed it a lot and would encourage any Barrington fan to read this. While you will not find the sexual entanglements/adventures that Stone normally enjoys, this story has lots to recommend it otherwise. This would be more about Stone as a caring Dad and business partner. It is a fast read because the story moves so rapidly; just hard to put it down once you start. There is no lack of action anywhere in the story with the two plot lines and good characters interacting..

Another good Teddy Fey story with Peter Barrington and Ben Bachetti looking to strike a new partnership in film making with a rich Croatian out in Santa Barbra. When the man's wife is kidnapped, Teddy takes on the job of trying to find her at the behest of Peter and Ben, and the story is off and running.
Throw in a love crazed fan, some Croatian thugs and Billy Barnett as well and the story is wildly fun in parts and fast paced thrills in other.
Too easily deciphered for me.

This book has two plot lines that propel it along, a kidnapping and a stalking. It was a quick read but I have to admit I didn’t particularly enjoy it. The characters were just there, no real depth or backstory, so I really didn’t care about any of them. I guess maybe if I had read the previous books in the series this would alter my opinion, but I haven’t read them. I just didn’t feel the suspense and thrill of the book, it just wasn’t for me.

Thank you to NetGalley and the publisher for this ARC in exchange for an honest review.

Two separate plot lines, both dealing with long term obsessions come together in another Stone Barrington thriller. Stone Barrington and his business partner in the film industry, Ben Bacchetti, are working on a partnership with Carl Novak, an investor from Croatia to do documentary films. Called to the Novak mansion for what Stone believes to be a meeting about their proposed business transaction, Stone learns that Novak’s wife has been kidnapped and Novak asks for his help. Up against a deadline before Rebecca Novak is killed, Stone calls on Teddy Fay, ex-CIA operative for help.

Teddy Fay’s current occupation is Oscar winning movie star, Mark Weldon, a persona he pulls off because he is a master of disguise harking back to his CIA days. He and his famous actress co-star, Tessa Bacchetti, are filming a movie when Teddy is pressed into service to find Rebecca. And as the saying goes, it never rains but what it pours, someone takes a shot at Tessa when she is leaving the movie set. A by-stander and fan of Tessa’s, who was watching the filming, jumps in to help, and as a thank you is invited to be a guest on set. Teddy Fay now has two mysteries to solve and the clock is ticking on both. A well written thriller with story lines that are masterly woven together.

Thank you NetGalley for the opportunity to read this book prior to publication.

This is the 6th book in the Teddy Fay series by Stuart Woods. Thank you to Netgalley for a copy of this digital book to read!

Some may disagree with me, but I would not consider this a stand alone book. You need to read the others in the series because Teddy also has two alias and with the large number of characters in this book, one could get lost if not familiar. But this is a Hollywood story at its finest. Greed, obsession, coveting what competitors have and men wanting more There are two story lines to follow in this book and they intertwine together.

Stuart Woods died in 2022 and Brett Battles co-wrote (maybe finished this book up) Will this be the last of Teddy Fay and Stone Barrington series? I hope not!

As always, Teddy Fay never fails to keep me entertained. Whether he is switching between his alias as an actor or his alias as a director, or when he is going to take down a bad guy as himself. There are always multiple plot lines, so there is a lot going on. In this book, Peter Barrington and Ben Bacchetti look to expand Centurion Studios's business by making a deal with a young Croatian billionaire. But just before they are about to meet to discuss the deal, his wife is kidnapped, and Teddy/Billy Barnett has to try to find her. Meanwhile, an obsessive fan is stalking Ben's wife Tessa, and it is up to Teddy/Billy to make sure that his plans for Tessa do not come to fruition. This was a fun, quick read full of lots of action. I definitely recommend it.

Very good read. Suspense but not overly graphic or explicit.
In CA at a movie set location, an actor is also a detective so he has to keep his detective identity hidden.
There are two plots: the movie director’s wife is kidnapped and held for ransom; A fan of the leading lady is obsessed with having her.. the book keeps your interest because it doesn’t drag out too long.
I have read other books of this author and I’m never disappointed

A typical Stuart Woods light read. Two mysteries happening simultaneously. Quirky characters but food. Quick easy read

I was a little confused on the character Teddy Fay in the beginning as I didn’t realize this was a series involving the character, but once I realized who the character was I really enjoyed the book. I feel this book could be a stand alone, but it didn’t take a couple chapters to understand Teddy Fay.

I enjoyed how there were essentially two storylines being told and how they intertwined in ways because the characters were involved in both.

It was a fast read and enjoyable!

Ted Fay is back. While shooting a movie he gets called away to deal with a kidnapping. Lots of action and drama ensues while each of his personas are involved. Brett Battles doesn’t miss a beat with the characters. In fact even better to me as he doesn’t spend pages describing each person's history. Any of us who read Stuart Woods knows the characters history backwards and forwards.

This is the latest Teddy Fay novel from Stuart Woods, co-written with Brett Battles. Teddy Fay also parades around as two other people. In this adventure, Teddy is on a movie set when a top movie star is kidnapped. Teddy is asked to recover her safely. If you have read the previous Teddy Fay novels, this is a typical one of his books. With the passing of Stuart woods in 2022, I believe Brett Battles has been contracted to continue writing books based on Woods characters. I give this book 3.5 stars on good reads. It is very fast reading and is entertaining for a rainy afternoon. The book has a few cameo appearances by Stone Barrington,

Thanks to NetGalley for allowing me to obtain, read and review an advanced copy of this book.

DNF. I didn't like the writing style and didn't care about the characters. I've enjoyed Stuart Woods' books in the past, but this wasn't the same experience. Thanks for a chance to read though.

Stuart Woods is one of my favorite authors. Sadly, we lost him in 2022. Reading his books featuring Stone Barrington was like coming home to something familiar. Obsession, however, focuses on Teddy Fay and is the 6th book in the Teddy Fay series. Teddy, who is a former CIA operative, has two aliases, which keep him busy especially in this book. Not only does he utilize both aliases, but he also must become someone else in order to keep things moving. There are lots of twists and turns in this book and too much going on to recap here, but I think you will enjoy this latest book co-authored by Brett Battles. I am looking forward to the next book in the series. Thank you to NetGalley, the author and publisher for the opportunity to review this book.

It all starts with the movies and here is Teddy Fay and his alias on full display. Teddy uses his personas as an actor, producer to change things up and make it an interesting read! All of the other usual characters are included. Great read!
