A short read beautifully written. Excellent for filling those end-of -year Goodreads challenge quotas, but more than that, it’s a quick thrilling ride for anyone with a curious mind.
This ARC was a nice short read, interesting short stories, I enjoyed getting through them. The stories were both cozy, and creepy, nice variety
This is a really quirky, fun collection of mystery and mystery-fantasy short stories.
Most of the stories are standalone shorts, but a few feature the recurring characters of aged spies Emily and Arthur as they can’t resist getting drawn into a few local mysteries.
Every one of these stories is well-written and entertaining and I happily devoured the whole book with not a single qualm.
I loved this collection – it makes ideal light reading – and I would read more from this author on the strength of these clever little stories alone.
Thank you NetGalley for giving me the chance to read this book ahead of time in exchange for a review. It didn't disappoint! Must read!!
This was a difficult book to get into. The plot and characters tended to get boring so I could not finish the book. I would be willing to see what else the author has to offer
A book like this would usually spark my interest, which is why I was interested in reviewing it.
This was an interesting collection of short stories. The writing was good, and I found the stories quite fun and quirky. It was a very light read, less than 100 pages, and probably the type of book that I'd pick up if I wanted to squeeze in one more book before the next book club meeting.
Thank you to NetGalley and the publishers for a free copy to review.
This collection ran the gamut, but I liked the variety and the quick read. When it’s busy it feels good to read a while story and be able to put the book down when you’re done. This collection. Is perfect when you want a shorter story and can go from full on creep to cozy.
