Wow! I truly enjoyed this book much more than I thought I would going into it. The author gives real advice and not just fluff that you can find anywhere. I related to so many idea's through out the book that this is a re read for me in this upcoming new year also.

Very informative and helps put things in a different perspective. Took me longer then I wanted to finish but I'm glad I did.

I resonated with this book, I feel like so many of the things she was talking about was exactly how I feel, or have felt at one point or time, while batting this on and off again yo-yo dieting. I will start Monday, or well I messed up tomorrow I will start again so many of us have been there and this book helps end what feels like a never ending cycle of off and on again.

I loved this. The author felt very authentic. She really gets it. I would highly recommend to any women that’s said this time I’m really doing it.

Wow this book was very real and down to earth, not at all empty fluff or gimmicky. It was actually helpful and examined hard truths in a super relatable way.

Reading this book was like having a conversation with a friend who keeps it real with you and genuinely wants what's best for you. Sonia definitely speaks to millennials and Gen Z with a lot of focus on current diet culture in social media aspects which I appreciated. She helps target and identify your core values which could help you break the constant self-hate, quick-fix cycle that diet culture has on you and uses her real life experiences to help you navigate your own realistic goals to having a healthy mindset and relationship with your body.

This was a different and interesting self-help book. Instead of being a diet plan, it is a guide to remember to be kind to yourself and to take everything in your life in stride. The author uses her experience to help guide others into not making the same mistakes she did.

This book title, I’ll Start Again Tomorrow, had definitely become my life motto. I enjoyed the tools this book provided as well as the authors personal stories. I’ve implemented some practices I learned from this book and am already seeing a positive reflect.

Thank you, Netgalley and Page Two Press, for the ARC. All thoughts and opinions are my own.

This non-fiction, self-help book was interesting but I am certainly not the target audience.

Pros: Personal anecdotes to illustrate topics; Workbook activities at the end of chapters

Cons: To much focus on social media (this might be a plus for a younger audience); not enough concrete suggestions to change behavior

I can see the value of this books and I would be willing to recommend this to struggling Gen Z kids but it was not for me.

I have to admit I struggled to finish this book, but I think it is because I am totally not the intended audience. I am 20 years too old, and don't live my life listening to influencers and worrying about comparing myself to the #hashtag world.

In summary this book was written by an 'influencer' about why listening to influencers is bad for your self-image and can be confusing as the advice is inconsistent. Then she offers advice on getting thinner, not healthier. I don't think she sees the irony.

The first half of the book is about mindset and getting rid of negative self-talk, and realising that you are enough. I didn't feel there was anything new or groundbreaking here, and there were no real actionable steps to do this.

The second half then goes in-depth into calorie counting and weight loss which I thought was a little inappropriate. Why? Because, she is not a nutritionist, a health professional or a fitness trainer. She bases her advice on her own yo-yo dieting over the years and extreme workouts and how she came to a safer balance, although I was slightly disturbed by her 'cheat days' only having 1600 calories and a treat is dessert or a glass of wine. Life is too short to cut everything out.

I didn't find the book particularly inspiring, although I have started drinking more water.

Would I recommend it? Probably not.

I recently finished "I'll Start Again Tomorrow" by Sonia Jhas, and while I enjoyed the first eight chapters, the book took a turn towards diet culture in chapter nine that left me feeling disappointed.

Jhas writes with honesty and vulnerability about her personal struggles with food and fitness, and her advice in the earlier chapters about setting achievable goals and developing a healthy mindset is helpful and relatable. However, as the book progressed and the focus shifted to discussion of nutrition and working out in a way that seemed geared towards weight loss as well as calorie deficits, I found myself losing interest.

The heavy emphasis on losing weight and achieving a certain body type without much discussion of body positivity or the harmful effects of diet culture left me feeling uneasy. While Jhas may have good intentions in trying to help readers achieve their fitness goals, I believe it's important to approach health and fitness in a way that promotes self-love and acceptance.

Overall, I would give "I'll Start Again Tomorrow" three stars. While the first part of the book was enjoyable and informative, the latter portion was too steeped in diet culture for my taste.

Sonia Jhas really created the real world of what she experienced in her life.In the introduction, she made me feel like moments which I have gone through in my childhood .The book make me stronger and to find myself .And how she felt like thin is happy that made to think herself on her body and she changed tremendously. That her happiness is ten pounds away she had recognized that she started working hard.Aim of the author in the book is to put aside the instagram world or other social media please keep focus on yourself .Its quite interesting book. She make us feel like how to change ourselves by asking the questions.

For some reason I thought this book would be more about habits and less about diets, but overall it was like chatting with a friend who recently lost a lot of weight and wants to tell you how to do that too. I didn't hate it, but it wasn't my cup of tea.

A friendly and relatable book to help dig into the reasons why people can't stick to their diets. Sonia Jhas combines personal experience with behavioral techniques to help readers redefine their goals to become both reachable and genuine to their core values. The book starts strongly as a self-help guide with reflection exercises throughout that can be applied to anyone on any diet, but in later chapters Jhas provides her own specific diet and exercise advice to readers. Her diet and exercise advice is pretty basic and standard and may be welcomed by some readers, but feels like the book goes off-track. It felt incongruent to give general food and exercise advice in a book meant to help readers center on their individual core values and goals. It was an overall enjoyable read, but not a must read.

It discusses all the things/lies you tell yourself.
Sonia has an interesting spin on how to talk about the lies you tell yourself but don’t stick to them. Reminds me of like how people set New Year’s resolution but don’t stick to them. 😂
Would I recommend this book? Sure, but it’s probably not everyone’s cup of tea.

Similar to a girlfriend you talk to when you are stressed about your life, your body, your everything, Sonia is a voice to lament to. I found her to be a kind voice, but not a unique voice in the self-help space. She does her best to distinguish herself from the others with her friendly tone nod understanding stance, but I still found her coming up empty. The first two chapters focus on discomfort with, and too much interest, in one’s body followed by chapters on a myriad of issues that modern day women have about their life and goals. Overall, this book was a read, but not a very refreshing one that could add something new to the space it is already occupying.

“A body you love is not worth a life you hate”
I had to let that one marinate it is so good! This book was a pleasant surprise that touched on the mental and physical aspects of body image, happiness, and life in general. Sonia Jhas does a good job of being very relatable to the reader while also making it clear that there is work involved to achieve goals. There were several ideas that stuck out and led to self reflection that made this book resonate more than other similar reads. It did seem slightly repetitive at times, but overall I would recommend this book to someone looking for a deep dive into themselves. #IllStartAgainTomorrow #NetGalley

Thank you NetGalley for providing me a copy of this book to read and review.

This book had many high points. In an effort to reach a younger audience it felt like I was bashed over the head with “hashtag” culture.

This book feels more like a pep talk from a friend, rather than the traditional stuffy self help material available.

Overall a quick to consume book with lots of nuggets I’ve highlighted to look back to.
