Heart pounding thriller that left me on the edge of my seat. I thoroughly enjoyed reading this one. Definitely one of the best books this year.

Told in three different narratives; Grace, who was kidnapped and escaped death; Kira, a desperate mother whose daughter is missing; and Aden, who returns home when he gets the news that his elderly father is missing.

I normally love thrillers with multiple POVs, but there was something disconnected about the three separate narratives in this one. At first I thought maybe it was the formatting, but then I realized the POV would just randomly switch, and I had no idea who was talking. The characters were not as developed as I would have liked; therefore, connecting with any of them was difficult. While I don't actively try to solve the mystery as I read, I found the culprit to be predictable yet illogical at the same time.

I loved the last two books by this author and will continue to read her work. This one just wasn't my favorite. Thank you to NetGalley and Graydon House Publishing for the early copy.
