I have a weird relationship with books featuring Pretty Boy: i'm not sure if I love them but I cannot put them down.
This was another gritty, twisty, and action packed thirller that kept me reading.
Very entertaining, disturbing at times.
Recommended.
Many thanks to the publisher for this arc, all opinions are mine

My thoughts about Amen Alonge’s A Good Night To Kill, 2nd book in the Pretty Boy action gangster thriller series, is a well written action crime thriller is an uncomplicated story of revenge, is hard-hitting yet entertaining, dwells on strong emotions and aggressive and forceful action. Writer Amen Alonge yet again delivers a well written story that is smartly written and paced. Amen Alonge’s A Good Night To Kill story is set 6 months after the first book, Born and raised in London, Pretty Boy has spent the last ten years in exile after being forced out of his hometown. He’s learned patience, and how to disappear. Now Pretty Boy is ready to get his revenge on those who need to pay for his lost years. Meanwhile, back in the city, things have moved on. People still talk about Pretty Boy, of course. He’s a legend, more myth than man, and rumours run wild about his deadly legacy. But most think they’ve seen the last of him. He’s finished. Someone who never gave up on Pretty Boy is Alan Pierce. The former policeman turned corrupt businessman has always lived by his own rules: stay focused, stay one step ahead of the enemy, stay alive. Alan and Pretty Boy have history – Pretty Boy owes him everything – so when Alan finds himself fighting a drug-fuelled war on all fronts, there’s only one man he wants to turn to. But where is Pretty Boy. What I liked about Amen Alonge’s book was, that he introduces new set of characters that are well written that completely blows your mind. All an all Amen Alonge’s A Good Night To Kill is really smart, enjoyable, odd, action packed crime thriller that surprisingly delivers its knockout punches from that smart witty dark humour and finds writer Amen Alonge writing a new chapter in his writing career. Amen Alonge delivers a sequel that deserve all the praise for its well written story. On the whole Amen Alonge’s A Good Night To Kill is storytelling on a whole other level. The writing, plotting, in this sequel is superb. And the story it tells are deep, complex and interwoven so as to create a whole other layer of abstract characterization no other book has even attempted to do. Each doesn’t just drive the plot forward, it adds a new perspective, a new layer through which we understand the characters and the city of London they live in. I would like to say a big thank you to my friend author Amen Alonge, and Ana and Liz from publishers Quercus Books, and NetGalley for kindly sending me a gifted copy of this breathtaking thriller series im a huge fan of. ⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️🔥🔥🔥🔥🔥💥💥💥💥💥
