I believe this is a second book📖  in a series I don't belived don't believe it completely stands alone, there are gaps that if reading in would make this novel complete. Saying that I do.
love a good series of books so would haved loved to read them in order! Furthermore I am a big fan of Fay Keenan as I have several of her other books and they all take a like hearted view of romance.

Lizzie Warner  ends up back in Roseford village. 'It may be a picture perfect-postcard country idyll' in the south west of England, but for Lizzie it always hold difficult memories from past'. But the author goes ok to state that there's 'Green open spaces all beautifully representted of the charming Hampshire landscape'.

Paul is in Lizzie's past no longer working and lovering the same man marketing plan seven  years together 'boost to her bank balance'
Paul had split 'the company Had been sold' it was called ' Warner-Baset Marketing Solutions' so Lizzie now has a very healthy bank balance. But she does not know what to do with it.

Cordelia  Warner  Lizzie's mother  want her to  move back home with them, she hasn't lived with them for 15 years and 'last thing she wanted to do was move back in with email now, however temporary' and Lizzie's farthers 'had always tried to micro-manage her life'
'It wasn't as if they were terrible people, but, after a lifetime of doing everything that  had been expected of her  in her mid-thirties she'd needed something more permanent.
Sister Georgina 'who'd made such success of everything she couldn't compete with her perfect sister 'who even now only half a mile from their parents place.

Aunt Bee full name was Verbena, 🐝  How different things could have been if Bee had been her mother, she thought, and not for the first time'
In cafe meets Lucy who tells her about bride to be Serena and Montana.
And then Simon Treloar come in too the cafe. 'maybe coming back to Roseford hadn't been  such a good idea after all'.

We're dripped feed bits and pieces of the story one bad night 20 year ago and what had happened in them since then

Sarah Treloar were at school together but at first had not remembered what she did at school
Fin Sanderson and Lucy Cameron wedding discussed l to  be held at pub. Also about a festival at Roseford Hall.

Fayre at Roseford Hall, Bee to judge  flower  🌼 🌷⚘🌸 competition. Wants Lizzie to join her Typical country fair finished with a barn dance which
Simon invites her to she 'you look great in that dress! But she finds out that he has no memory of that  one night at school.

End of wedding Lizzie goes back to Simon's, getting closer to Simon, 'she felt,  for the first imagine she'd being in Roseford,  as though she was truly moving forward'

Festival 'The Treloar family still owned several acres of fields beyond the the immediate gardens'
Contentment was different from happiness, he thought. Contentment had got him so far, maybe it was time to take a risk" Simon other's stats Simon.

Georgina and parents come to visit but to take her home!
They end up fighting , they were literally passing through on the way to collect her niece and nephew from summer school program!

At school Lizzie 'Everyone wore some kind off protective psychological armour, she thought, and she had the feeling that Simon's had been years in the making' So now that there a couple thanked have each other to look ou

Lizzie and Simon's school reunion 'of his old school gates 'the entrance to he'll itself'  something happens to him 20 year ago and need to face it just as Lizzie did.

The British Heritage Fund, gets spoken a great amount as it owns the majority of Roseford Hall. So that's good to bring in a charity  element to the novel.

Funny laugh out loud comedy with so great characterisation, I especially liked the character of Lizzie's parent and how she believed they controlled her life even though she in her mid thirties!

A nice easy read which I enjoyed although I did feel it ended quite abruptly.

A story of losing every thing and finding happiness . Also getting over childhood demons and cruel teenagers. Throw in a family who don’t understand you and a kind aunt and lots of flowers . Plus famous people being normal. I loved it. A brilliant read
