This book started off a little slow but I enjoyed the plot and characters development. I feel everyone would enjoy this book. A lot of the undertones in this book would be really inspirational to someone going through tough times.. The scriptures and quotes popped up at the right times for the plot. This book touched on struggling with forgiveness, hatred and having faith in Gods plan even if we don't understand or see the big picture. I would definitely recommend this book.

I was all over the place with this novel. Anger, sadness. So, YES this is one hell of a book to make me feel so much. Some families can break you, and change you for good or bad. Sometimes you say no for the right reasons. Nobody ever says no to Ben Washington...then maybe Ben Washington learns yes, and opens his heart just a bit more.
