I read the first book in this series and LOVED it, so I was thrilled to see that there was a follow up book in this series, this one – The Lost King

I have to say that I loved this one just as much as the first book – it is a great way for a younger generation to learn more about some of the characters from the past, in this case the Tudors during the reign of Queen Elizabeth I which are worked well in to this fictional work.

The book was brilliant, I loved the story, and the illustrations were fantastic, they really brought the story to life. The writing is perfect for this type of book and I loved the way that the limited words worked as well as they did with the images – superb.

It is 5 stars from me for this one, a fantastic book and one that I hope is followed up again with another release in the series – brilliant characters that are well developed and Daisy is excellent – fab!

I really loved this book and I kind of knew I would the first couple of pages! I love that it has a bit of a biography about Queen Elizabeth, if you know anything about her before you read then you know that there is some historical background hidden in this book! I also loved the magical addition, allowing young readers to build their imagination and learn about something new. I feel like kids might go research Queen Elizabeth after they read this to see what is factual and what isn't and that kind of wonder is so great for kids!

I really enjoyed this book, it was just the right amount of silly! Thank you NetGalley for the opportunity to provide feedback for this book.
