this was a strong third entry in the Madame Chalamet Ghost Mysteries series, it did everything that I enjoyed from the two other books. The characters were what I was expecting and I loved how good the historical elements were. Byrd Nash has a great writing style and I enjoyed the series as a whole. I can't wait to read more from Byrd Nash and hopefully this series.

"It was no more than ten minutes later that Madame Leona Granger entered the room. She was a petite woman, with large faded blue eyes and masses of white hair piled on top like a cloud. Madame wore a loose robe dress tied at the waist that was appropriate for receiving guests at home. I was right in remembering that she stayed up long into the night to talk with her ghostly acquaintances. She would sleep most of the day away, and rise a few hours after the luncheon hour. It made for a strange schedule, and it had taken me years to break myself from the habit after I’d left."
