This one was really good. I was hooked the whole time. I tried to predict what happened and who did what, but it kept having twists and made me clueless. I enjoyed the premise and the ending was great! This a great and thrilling read and, would highly recommend everyone check it out!

A special thank you to NetGalley and St. Martin's Press & Wednesday Books for an ARC in exchange for an honest review.

I thought that this was a great premise....10 social media influencers come to an island to live IRL (in real life). However, once they arrive, one by one, they begin to die. WHo is killing them and for what reason?

The author had me guessing and second guessing myself...it was a great mystery.

however, I felt that some of the story was not fully developed. I didn't know that they had murdered Jenna. I just knew that Jenna was in a bedroom...

Further, the 'influencers' didn't do anything that horrible (except for the Jenna murder, which we didn't know about till the end) to warrant a death sentence.

it was campy, an easy beach read, no serious thought needed to read this thriller.

Loved this one! So many twists and turns in the story line. Perfect for anyone who likes a good who do it type of thriller.

3.5⭐️

The premise sounded absolutely amazing with social influencers being a part of a murder-mystery situation but I didn't love this one. It was very fun and campy as well.

I read this book in one night! Even though there were 10 influencers to keep track of — and multiple perspectives, on top of that — I found it easy to stay engaged. The plot moves fast and is a little kooky at times, but it's overall a solid read. One note is that there is some heavy content, and while it's addressed thoughtfully, it could still be sensitive for some readers.

Thank you NetGalley and St. Martin's Press for the copy of People to Follow by Olivia Worley. This is a debut by an author I’ll be keeping my eye on. The story and the writing hooked me from the start.
The premise of influencers being invited to an isolated island is not new, but I liked how the influencers were all teens with all the bravado and insecurities that come with that age. I also liked the variety of what they were influencing.
Every chapter is a different POV and they are all written in the first person so sometimes it was hard to tell whose POV it was, especially at the beginning when they all sounded alike. It would have helped if the characters had used names when addressing someone, especially the person whose POV it was. I did a lot of going back to the start of a chapter to make sure I knew who’s POV it was. More distinctive voices and personalities would have helped, or maybe even fewer characters. At the end I was having trouble remembering who was who and what their story was.
I enjoyed reading this book and the reveal was a surprise. After the reveal, the book felt a little too long, like there wasn’t really a definitive end. I enjoyed reading this book and look forward to other books by Worley. 3.5 stars rounded up to 4.

Heart pounding thriller that left me on the edge of my seat. I thoroughly enjoyed reading this one. Definitely one of the best books this year.
