Finding out how Manuel joined the guardians was both informative and heartbreaking. I would have liked to have more of the court case and the possibility/likelihood of racism in his sentence explored though.

Laura was great, I loved how willing she was to take initiative to help herself, and the way she adapted quickly to challenging situations.

I did feel that both Manuel and Laura missed some pretty big red flags that could have helped them avoid trouble later on, which I found frustrating.

Xavier just annoyed me. But then I think he was meant to, so he did his job as a character.

Not my favourite Guardian book due to the flags missed by the two main characters who otherwise seemed intelligent, but still a good solid read.

I love the Guardian series, and this story is probably one of my favorites. I can't even imagine having no choice but to walk away from your entire life, and living in the shadows, never being able to form any sort of close bond to anyone. This author does a great job of describing life as a ghost, and bringing all of her characters to life.

The story line kept me engaged from the beginning to the end, and I was sad when it ended. (But happy, because it was just that good!) Strong, relatable characters; great world-building; an engaging story. This book has it all!

I really enjoy this author. Her books are intriguing and keep me engrossed in the story. I like the characters and I am invested in what happens to them. Manuel is a ghost. He is called to help a undercover agent. He is too lake and the agent is shot and the person they are she is abducted working with has been kidnapped.

Laura is an ER nurse from Los Angeles. She has come to Honduras to help her grandmother who is in the hospital. As Laura leaves the hospital, she is abducted and forced to help the man they kidnapped. She is resourceful and soon Manuel shows up and they escape. Trying to get to safety, is quite the adventure. Great story.

“What’s it going to be, kid? Live in prison, or die and be free?”

This might be my favorite Guardians book yet! Although, I’d probably have to read them all to make sure, which I know I will do. This book is an unputdownable page turner from the first page! It has mystery, suspense and romance, and I loved every bit of it! I can’t wait to see where this series takes us next!

Manuel was in the wrong place at the wrong time, and now his life as he knew it is over. Now he has a choice: Life in prison or “die” and join the Guardians.
Laura was leaving after visiting her abuela in the hospital in Honduras when she was kidnapped by the Jaguar Negro gang. Suddenly she’s thrown into this world of guardians that she knew nothing about, and she has to trust a man who won’t even tell her his name to get her out alive.

Traci has recently released another page turner! The suspense, intrigue and action woven into the newest book of the Guardian series is one that I'm glad I did not miss out on. I have always enjoyed the Guardian Series and this one did not disappoint.
Manual just comes out there like a knight on a white horse saving Laura. Almost every girl's dream. Even though Laura is thrown into the middle of a very dangerous situation with a well known gang, she trusts Manual completely even while not knowing too much about him.
I really liked knowing Manuel's back story of how he became a "ghost". He was put in a tough situation and had to make a hard decision afterwards. It really showed Manuel's true character, and made me like him even more.
Highly recommend this book or any book of Traci's. I don't normally go for suspense but if Traci writes it, I'll read it because I know it will be good.

Was given a complimentary copy through netgalley. These are my words and my own review of this book.

Wowza!! What an action-packed, adventure-filled, swoon-worthy romance!! This was my first read by Traci Abramson Hunter, and it will certainly not be my last!!🥳

What I loved so much about this story is how fast-paced it was! The whole story I was on the edge of my seat wondering how the FMC & MMC were going to escape South America🫣 And the ENDING reallyyyyyy got me😅 I truly didn’t see it coming!!🧐😲

I also really enjoyed the sweet romance between Manuel & Laura🥰 These two were such a dynamic duo😍 Manuel’s level-headedness, fast-thinking, & defense skills paired perfectly with Laura’s courage, quick instincts, & medical training!! Although these two fell in love quickly, it didn’t feel like instalove because of the precarious circumstances the characters found themselves in!!

Read if you enjoy…
🖤 Forced proximity
🖤 Dual POV
🖤 On the run
🖤 Suspenseful plots
🖤 Sweet romances

Overall, I thoroughly enjoyed this romantic suspense and would highly recommend it to others!! Although this is part of a series, it can totally be read and enjoyed as a standalone!! Definitely pick this one up for spooky season👻👏🏼

I really love this series! I've read every Guardian book and this one was just as good as the others. In fact, I sat down and read it in under three hours because I could not stop reading. You know the book is good when all you want to do is read.

Unseen had such great characters in Laura and Manuel. They both have so much on the line as they are trying to stay two steps ahead of a Central American gang. This novel's intensity is ramped up more and more as the story progresses. It's one of those things that keeps you staring at the pages and never wanting to put the book down.

The Guardians Series has been a must-read for me and book #7 can be a standalone book, but reading the previous books only adds to the thrill of their jobs as Guardians. Traci Hunter Abramson knows how to write the perfect thriller, and Unseen is another notch on her award-winning author's belt.

"What's it going to be, kid? Live in prison, or die and be free?" That is Manuel's choice--go to prison for a very long time for a crime he didn't commit or "die" and become a Guardian. He would be dead to his family and everyone who knows him and have to live in the shadows helping operatives in trouble. Fast forward nine years: Manuel lives in Honduras and his latest task is to help an operative whose cover's been blown, the operative's informant.

Laura is a nurse practitioner from San Diego visiting her grandmother, who's in the hospital in Honduras. While leaving the hospital she's mistaken for a doctor and is kidnapped by members of the Jaguar Negro gang to help one of their wounded members.

I liked how smart Laura was and how she used her medical knowledge to disable some of the guards. She was far braver than I'd have been--I would've been frozen with fear. I found Manuel's backstory heartbreaking and felt so bad for his family, but he was an amazing Guardian. I liked how well Laura and Manuel worked together and the trust they built between them in such a short amount of time. It saved their lives more than once.

I love suspense and romantic suspense, but thank goodness for the slower parts in the story when they're in the safe house. I don't think I could've taken all the suspense without a couple of breaks here and there. Just when I thought they were safe--BAM!! We're back on the run. This is another sleep stealer from one of my long-time favorite clean romantic suspense authors.

This is another great addition to the Guardian series but can be read as a standalone as this plot doesn't have anything to do with the previous books. Warning: once you read this you're going to want to binge-read the rest of the series.

Another wonderful Guardians book by Traci Hunter Abramson! I loved this book and the suspense. I loved how we didn’t know how Laura and Manuel would get out of the situation they were in. I also loved how we didn’t know who was behind everything until the end. I loved the twist and turns in the story. I also loved how Laura and Manuel made a great team and how they helped to make each other better. I also loved getting to know this Guardian better. I enjoy this series and how the books draw you in from the very first page. I highly recommend this story and series.

I received a complimentary book from publishers, publicists, and or authors.  A review was not required and all opinions and ideas expressed are my own.

I loved this latest installment in Traci Hunter Abramson’s Guardian series. This book follows Manuel and Laura as they get caught in the crosshairs of the Jaguar Negro gang in Honduras. It was action packed and kept me on the edge of my seat the whole time. I felt for both Manuel and Laura who were each in the wrong place at the wrong time, but who found each other through those events.
This is a standalone novel. References are made to other guardians but you can definitely read this without having read the others.

What an adventure!!! I loved it! The author set the stage to create an emotional connection with Manuel and his becoming a Ghost in the guardian program. He was an easy character to connect with and cheer for. His goodness and ability to adapt to situations are all points in his favor. And he was definitely a force to be reckoned with!

Enter Laura, on vacation visiting her grandmother, and taken captive due to being in the wrong place at the wrong time. I loved her street smarts and ability to think quickly. She is kind and compassionate and has a good head on her shoulders.

When Manuel happens upon Laura he is quick to rescue her and they find themselves on the run! And it's a wild ride trying to evade the bad guys! I was very happy with how the story played out and the great balance between fast paced scenes and danger and the scenes where we get to know more about these characters. Another favorite in The Guardians Series! You can read it as a standalone but I recommend reading all of the books in order as you'll get to know all of the characters that are seen throughout the series.

Content: Clean. Moments of peril, suspense, death, murder and such but not overly graphic. There is some kissing but nothing further. No language. I'd let my teenagers read it.

I received a copy from the publisher, Covenant Communications, via NetGalley. All thoughts and opinions in the review are my own.

Happy Reading!!!

I love this series so much and getting my hands on a new addition to it feels a bit like Christmas. This author really knows how to deliver the growing tension of suspense that keeps me on the edge of my seat throughout the whole book. There was plenty of action and the story had great forward momentum with a few of those quiet moments interspersed so I had the chance to really get to know the characters better and feel their growing connection.

Manuel was a great protector and defender. How can you not admire a guy who was dealt a bad hand and makes the very most out of it? He was so easy to like. He and Laura worked so well together and I liked the way their friendship and trust grew.

I think you can read these books as standalone's, in any order, but you might be happier if you read them in order. The references to characters from other books will have more meaning.

Content: peril, violence. Death. Kissing.

What a fantastic addition to this series. Exciting, edge of your seat and action packed is what you get when reading this book. There’s a reason that Traci Hunter Abramson is a favorite author and this book just goes to show why!

Another great guardian adventure. It’s got suspense, intrigue, mystery and a swoony romance. I really enjoyed the characters of this book. Learning how Manuel became a “Ghost” was unfortunate but interesting twist. Laura is nurse practitioner and was visiting Honduras to see her Abuela when she was kidnapped by a dangerous gang. The plot was very well planned out and made for an exciting ‘can’t turn the pages quick enough’ story. The author has a great way with words, she describes everything in such detail, you feel like you’re right there with them. I have read several of the guardian books and have enjoyed all of them. Each can be read as a standalone. Just a warning this book does consist of gang violence, shooting, and people being killed. The romance is sweet hand, holding and kissing. Because it is a quick paced story, I was able to read it in an afternoon.
I received a complimentary copy of this book. Opinions expressed in this review are completely my own.

Of all of Traci's Guardian books, this one was the one that felt the most go go go! There were moments of rest, but it was a lot of movement and action.

This was a different story than the rest of the Guardian series. It felt a little more disconnected to the series than the rest of them prior. But I am not upset about that. I feel like this is the most stand alone book of them all.

When visiting her Abuela in Honduras, Laura gets kidnapped. Is she a politician? A spy? Someone to bargain for? No. She is a nurse. And a local gang mistakes her for a doctor. After a local shootout they need someone to save one of the men's lives.

Manuel was in the wrong place at the wrong time years ago, leading him to the ultra-classified Guardians program. As an agent in Honduras he is doing his best to stop the Jaguar Negro's efforts. Their drug and violence presence is something he wants to stop. While saving a CIA agent, he realizes he has to go after another man to question him. But while doing that, he notices a woman doing her best to get out. He saves Laura and the man he needs to question and they go into hiding.

Trying to get out and stay safe, Manuel and Laura are tested, and pushed to their limits. They are also pushed together and have to work together to make sure they not only stay alive and safe, but to try and have a life together.

Traci Abramson builds a great story with action and romance. It is always worth picking up her books, and this one is no different.

ARC Review -

It is no secret that I love any book that is released by Traci. From Undercurrents, I was hooked.

So, it was no surprise when I fell in love with the Guardian Series. When In Harms Way was releasing, I may or may not have spent about 8 hours total drive time to go to a book signing. 😂 (I got to meet Traci and got the book a day early! Plus -- SWAG! So totally worth it!)

Aside from all of that (don't worry, there will totally be a full post about that story 😆), I was hooked on this series from the first book. This is Book 7, but can totally be read as a stand-alone. (But I think it goes without saying that I recommend the whole series 😊)

From a grumpy Kade, to a new Ghost, this book tops the other ones. I loved the humor in it, and all the suspense.

Laura is a great character. I love how she takes charge and is calm under pressure, thinking on her feet and freeing herself.

Manuel also has an incredible backstory. It is such a unique way to be thrust into the world of Ghosts and Guardians (and spies, of course)

Together, they make such a great Duo.

I read this book in one sitting, and many of the others on the ARC team had very similar experiences. It is one you will not want to put down.

Highly recommend this book.

I also have to touch on the author. Traci is so sweet, and she is great to work with. She is also amazing in person. An author can make or break a launch team, and Traci never fails to make it an incredible experience.

When being in the wrong place at the wrong time threatens to land him in jail for decades and destroy his family, Manuel takes the only way out: to become a 'dead man' - a guardian, a ghost. But though it's an often dangerous and sometimes lonely life, it's not until Laura comes on the scene that he begins to wonder whether things really could be different... Laura was only in Honduras to visit her grandmother in hospital, but when gang members kidnap her to care for a wounded man, then a man who calls himself 'Ghost' comes and rescues them both, it's clear things aren't going to be so easy. Worse, she gradually realises that the danger to her heart may be even greater than that to her life. Will they be able to escape the gang that's after them? If so, can Manuel find some way for them to be together?

A real page-turner, this held my attention from the start and had me rooting for Manuel and Laura to find their well-deserved happily ever after. I really appreciated the fact that, while there's plenty of action and suspense, there's also plenty of time to get to know the characters, for them to get to know each other, and for them to develop. I loved the way that Manuel looked out for Laura and did his best to protect her - from himself as well as from the enemy. And the enemy certainly added interest to life... All in all, a good clean read with suspense that kept me on my toes, characters I really cared about, and a satisfying ending. Recommended.

Note that I received a complimentary copy of the book from NetGalley. I was not required to write a positive review and this is my considered opinion of the book.

Manuel’s life is very influenced by gangs, guns and drugs. They took his father from him and then his own life as he knew it. Manuel is a Ghost living in Central America.
Laura is a nurse practitioner visiting her abuela in Honduras.
This is the tale of how they fall in love while on the run for their lives.
It’s amazing. So much action and suspense. I knew the one guy was a bad dude and kept wanting to get a message to Manuel.
I want an epilogue giving me something more about how Laura and Manuel were going to work things out.
I’m so excited I got a further peek into the world of the Guardians. Thanks Traci for the wild ride.

Unseen by Traci Abramson is a romantic suspense that keeps you on the edge of your seat, turning every page to see what happens next.

Laura is a nurse practitioner visiting her grandmother in Honduras. Manuel, a ghost, is a member of a classified guardian program that protects assets based in Central America. A classic case of mistaken identity, Laura is mistaken for a doctor and taken by a local gang. Laura isn’t sure she could make it out of this situation alive until Ghost appears, where they have to work together to survive.

One thing that I really loved was that
Laura and Manuel’s relationship started on the basis of a friendship. They had to trust each other right from the start and they both really made time for their budding romance even in the midst of trying to stay alive.

Unseen could be read as a stand-alone, but for a deeper understanding and more for fun, I would recommend reading the books that come before. I prefer to read books in order but you definitely don’t have to! This book is perfect for those that love action, suspense, and a little sprinkle of romance all in one!

I had the opportunity to read an advanced reader’s e-proof of Unseen by Traci Abramson courtesy of Covenant Communications via NetGalley. All opinions above are my own.
