A lighthearted story about finding yourself and growing up. An endearing cast of characters and a tender romance make this novel a solid pick.

I received a complimentary copy of this book from Avon through NetGalley. All opinions expressed are my own.

The way I think it was written has to be on purpose and that’s to make you experience the message of the story first hand. Because I promise you by the end of this story, I was overflowing with emotion.

This is the fourth book in the Sunrise Cove series. This can be read as a stand-alone. This is your typical small town, low angst, simple characters story. This is what I come to know and love from this author. I feel like her books are just comfort reads for me, and I love that. I loved the characters in this book and getting to know them more. I can’t wait to read more books in this series!

This was such a cute and heartwarming read - this is my first book by Jill and it definitely won't be my last. I loved the mini plots throughout and the journey of finding oneself. Absolutely beautiful!

Thank you so much to NetGalley & Jill Shalvis (and team) for an advanced eARC of this book in exchange for an honest review!

Jill Shalvis and Sunrise Cove are some of my favorite and I look forward to each new addition! Leary of Bodie and most everyone that tries to do something nice for her, it's no wonder that Harper was drawn to someone that needed help even more than she did!!! Ups and downs and a huge payoff made this love story precious and I can't recommend this sweet story. Oh - I LOVED the "brothers", they cracked me up. This digital copy of The Sweetheart List was a gift from Netgalley and I'm happy to give my own opinions <3

Great book! Harper is such a strong, bright character. I love how determined she is, and how she always seems to see the good in a situation. Bodie and his brothers are all great characters. Ivy was a bit of a curveball. You can tell she has an interesting backstory, but just HOW interesting was a surprise! I love the way both Harper and Bodie try to help her in their own ways, and how she slowly starts to lower her walls and accept their friendship. I would definitely recommend this book and am interested in checking out other books by this author. If The Sweetheart List is anything to judge by, I will enjoy reading her other books!

Well, this certainly made running a bakery seem pretty easy... Putting that aside, a beautiful reminder that family is where you make it, and the power of ciommunity to change lives, with a sweet romance.

Jill Shalvis is one of my favorite authors. Her books never disappoint!!
Harper moves away from her old life and moves to Sunrise Cove to find her happiness! She meets Bodie right away but they get off on the wrong foot. When she realizes that Bodie and his brothers own the bakery building that she is renting, she has to figure out how to work together. Bodie realizes that Harper is a great person and wants to get to know her better. Meanwhile Ivy, a runaway teenager, breaks into the bakery for a warm place to sleep and becomes friends with Harper. The ending of this book was great! This was a really book.

Well thought out book in a beautiful setting. Well written with interesting characters that can be relatable. Also a great book about getting second chances.
Will be a good beach read this coming summer.

The writing is solid, creating a vivid atmosphere, but the plot is a mix of captivating moments and predictability. Characters are well-developed, though some lack depth. Pacing fluctuates, making it a decent but not outstanding read.

This was a solid if perhaps too busy story. I felt there were a lot of moving pieces that at times distracted from each other but all in all a a fun, easy read.

Thank you Harper and Avon Voyage publishing for the ARC in exchange for an honest review. All thoughts are my own!

I absolutely adored this book! The romance was multifaceted and kept me engaged the whole time. I loved how the main characters love each other. I also really enjoyed that it was dual perspective. Though sometimes I forgot who was in the main perspective sometimes. I thought that the story line was something that has been done before, yet had it's own uniqueness. I especially liked the teenage girl, Ivy's perspective the most. It added a lot more to the story.

This story is about Harper who decides to move back to a childhood town. She wants to open a bakery shop. Harper ends up coming a bit early and bumps into Bodie who asks if she needs help. Little does either of them know Bodie is one of the people who are supposed to be helping get her shop ready before she comes. Harper decides to move in anyways even though it is far from finished. Ivy a homeless youth sneaks in her shop to sleep. When Harper shows up she invites Ivy to live with her. Will romance spark between people in this town? Does Ivy have another reason for staying in town even though she is homeless?

Harper Shaw has decided it’s time for a life overhaul and what better place to do that than the one place she found joy as a child- Lake Tahoe. She purchases a shop and opens a small bakery. Along the way she meets a runaway, Ivy, that she lets into her heart and her home. We get to learn about Harper’s and Ivy’s pasts and watch how they both grow together and find hope and peace. A sweet story that I enjoyed start to finish.

Thanks to NetGalley for and ARC in exchange for my honest review.

Cozy story about starting over and second chances. Throw in a bakery and strong family ties, and this is a warm, fuzzy story.

I received an advanced copy from NetGalley of this sweet romance book. Who doesn't like a story with a bakery and a bookstore as part of the setting. Really cute characters hoping for a fresh beginning. Highly recommend.

Such a cute book!

This book definitely gave more than I had expected- in a good way! Harper moves to her childhood vacation spot and opens her own bakery. Here, she meets Ivy (a runaway teenager) and Bodie (the grumpy bar owner). After some time, she starts to develop connections to these two and the town she now calls home. But when secrets start to get out, everyone must break out of their comfort zones and take hold of what they want.

Read if you like:
- small town vibes
- cute bakeries

This book is for people who like cozy romance, surprise kids, and bakeries nestled in Lake Tahoe.

I struggled with the sentient dog who is in every other sentence in the beginning and by the end of the book he’s been completely forgotten about. I struggled with the fact that every single female character had been neglected/abandoned by their parents. No other possible storylines for females can exist? It felt lazy. And the rest of the characters lost a parent. On top of that the only children in this book were homeless. A town in Lake Tahoe is just full of people with no family units? Okay…

Then the FMC completely forgives the MMC before the grovel? And her setback from him, “scared of being walked away from,” which he did… was just completely forgiven within the span of a few hours?

Also the men in this book were entirely too perfect. Which was boring and unrealistic.
