I have to say, Lisa Jewell does not disappoint. I mean her books are always fantastic and keep me on the edge of my seat. However, this one, None of this is True, may be my favorite to date.
This truly meets the definition of a psychological thriller and the characters are just as compelling and complicated as one would expect.
Great job Lisa!!

Holy cow, this was a good one! The podcast trope was done really well and I enjoyed how the story unfolded. Lisa Jewell is known for some crazy twists and while I had an inkling with this one, it didn't take away from the fact I couldn't put the book down. Honestly, one of the best books I've read this year! Thank you to NetGalley, Atria books, and Lisa Jewell for allowing me to review this one. All thoughts are my own.

Thank you Netgalley, Atria Books and Lisa Jewell for free e-ARC of None of This Is True
in return of my honest review.
Celebrating her forty-fifth birthday at a local pub, Alix Summer meets Josie Fair, another woman marking the same milestone. This seemingly innocent encounter quickly spirals into a tale of obsession and dark secrets. Alix, a popular podcaster, finds herself drawn to Josie's enigmatic presence, even as she senses something unsettling beneath the surface.
The premise of the story is compelling, and the initial connection between Alix and Josie sets the stage for a gripping exploration of trust and deceit. Alix's decision to feature Josie on her podcast, even as her instincts caution her against it, adds a layer of tension that keeps readers engaged. As the plot unfolds, we see how Josie's life, rife with complexities and hidden truths, begins to intertwine with Alix's own, leading to increasingly precarious situations.
The pacing of the novel is well-executed, striking a balance between intrigue and suspense. The author skillfully builds tension as Alix begins to uncover the dark secrets Josie has concealed. Just when it seems like Alix has a grip on the situation, Josie vanishes, leaving behind a chilling legacy that thrusts Alix into her own true crime nightmare. This twist is both surprising and effective, propelling the narrative to a thrilling climax.
While the book delivers a solid and entertaining read with plenty of suspense, it does rely on some familiar tropes found in psychological thrillers. However, the character development, especially that of Alix, adds depth to the story, allowing readers to empathize with her plight as she navigates the fallout of her choices.
Overall, this novel is a good solid read that successfully combines elements of mystery and psychological tension. It will appeal to fans of thrillers looking for a story that keeps them guessing while exploring the complexities of human relationships. If you’re in the mood for a compelling tale of secrets and the consequences of trust, this book is definitely worth picking up.

Lisa Jewell did it again with another solid thriller. This book with having you question everything. Including your own sanity.

4.5 stars rounded up. “None of This is True” is the first thriller I’ve devoured in a single day in a long time. The story follows two women who meet by chance in a restaurant and discover they share the same birthday. What begins as a casual friendship soon spirals into something much darker, with secrets, lies, and obsession at the heart of it all.
From the first page to the last, it kept me completely intrigued and engaged. Lisa Jewell masterfully weaves an addictive plot filled with twists that kept me guessing. The pacing was perfect, and the characters were compelling, making it impossible to put down. Jewell strikes the right balance between psychological tension and mystery, delivering a story that’s both unsettling and captivating. Definitely one of her best!

This is a go- to author for me, and this book did not disappoint. Lisa Jewell is one of the best at psychological thrillers, and I love that her books keep me on my toes. I really enjoyed this book, and flew through it quickly.

Holy moly! I knew this was going to be good but I just had absolutely no idea how amazing it really is. I love a twisty story, a unreliable narrator, and an ending that leaves you guessing and this has it all! I can't wait to read more from Jewell!
One of my favorite books this year!
For fans of The Silent Patient.
5/5
Thank you to Netgalley and the publisher for providing me with an e-arc in exchange for an honest review.

I was late to read this now bestseller, but I went in blind, except knowing the author was fantastic. I absolutely loved this book! It was full of twists and turns and was exactly the book I needed to kick off my summer reading.

A big thank-you to NetGalley, the author, and publisher for giving me a copy of this book for an unbiased review.
3.5/5 - Liked it.
If you enjoy an unreliable set of protagonists, a story filled with twists and turns, and a fast cadence that will keep you glued to the pages of your book - this one's for you. It starts off relatively slowly with familiar tropes as an unsuccessful woman jealously obsessed with another, more vibrant protagonist, who attaches herself to the latter and infects her life with the toxicity of her own. However, the plot soon diverts into several snaking paths as the reader meets a host of unreliable characters, each of whom harbor their own secrets and inner darkness... although the ending provides answers, the reader is left with more questions, key among which is: "is any of this actually true?"
Overall gripping and disturbing, worth a read!

I liked this one pretty well because it kept me guessing. These characters are the definition of unreliable narrators, so you never quite know what is going on. A lot of these kind of books can feel very formulaic, but I didn’t think that was the case with this when. I would recommend to friends!

Steven Rowley is a must read author for me! He has such wonderful characters. This is excellent for those that love stories about lifelong friends. This was a Read with Jenna Book.
Thanks to G.P. Putnam's Sons and NetGalley for the advanced digital copy of the book.

Lisa Jewell is one of the craziest writers I've ever read. Every time I read one of her books I'm appalled and intrigued. When I'm done reading her books I always think, what did I just read? Her writing is eccentric and alluring, I finished this one and still don't know what to believe/ what happened. I liked the creepy music in the audio

I have to admit that I didn’t love this book. I saw so many people raving about its wild plot, and to say I was underwhelmed would be an understatement. To be fair, I have never been a big fan of Lisa Jewell’s writing style or character development. These preferences may have impacted my enjoyment of this title. Overall, I wanted/expected more based on the reviews I read beforehand.

Thrillers gonna thriller! This had me completely sucked in from the beginning. I guessed a number of the twists but loved the little surprises. I LOVED THE AUDIO! Like can’t imagine how you could read the physical book, loved it. The full cast was unreal so good. If you like thrillers, you’ll like this one. If you don’t (me) then you still might. Only complaint is that the ending went on for like 30+ minutes.

I typically don’t read suspense books, but the description was intriguing so I gave it a try. WOW. Immediately hooked, Jewell did an amazing job of hooking the readers and taking you through a wild ride.

I was SURE everyone was dead at some point in this book.
And that is a COMPLIMENT.
Lisa Jewell is a staple.

I'm a big fan of Lisa Jewell but this one definitely was a little twisted and had me more uncomfortable than I have been in the past. The ending is the best part though.

I enjoyed this one a lot! I knew I would from reading previous books from this author! There is so much left unfinished and I would love to see if everything was a lie or the truth! However, I loved it regardless!

Love everything by Lisa Jewell and this was no different! Thank you so much for the opportunity to read this ARC! Lisa is one of my favorite authors and she is an immediate buy for me!

This is a fun mystery that is less about major reveals than it is about the looming danger approaching Alix and her family. Love the rising tension, though it wasn't particularly surprisng. If you're a Lisa Jewell fan, you'll love it.
