Lisa Jewell's "None of This is True" is a captivating exploration of the complexities of human relationships and the secrets that bind and unravel them. Known for her skillful blend of suspense and emotional depth, Jewell once again proves her mastery in this compelling novel.

At its heart, "None of This is True" is a story about interconnected lives and the repercussions of hidden truths. The narrative unfolds through multiple perspectives, each unveiling layers of mystery and intrigue. From the enigmatic past of a troubled teenager to the hidden motives of seemingly ordinary neighbors, Jewell crafts a web of suspense that keeps readers on edge throughout.

Central to the story is the disappearance of a young woman and the ripple effect it creates among those closest to her. As the plot twists and turns, Jewell skillfully peels back the layers of each character, revealing their vulnerabilities, fears, and the dark secrets they keep buried.

The characters in "None of This is True" are richly developed and multidimensional. From the unreliable narrator to the conflicted family members grappling with their own demons, each voice adds depth to the narrative, drawing readers deeper into their world. Jewell's portrayal of their relationships is nuanced and realistic, capturing the complexities of love, betrayal, and forgiveness.

Jewell's prose is evocative and atmospheric, painting vivid scenes that immerse readers in the setting. Whether exploring the quiet streets of a suburban neighborhood or delving into the haunting memories of a troubled past, the author's attention to detail enhances the suspenseful atmosphere of the novel.

What sets "None of This is True" apart is its exploration of the blurred lines between perception and reality. As truths are unveiled and illusions shattered, Jewell challenges readers to question their own assumptions about the characters and the world they inhabit.

In conclusion, "None of This is True" is a gripping and thought-provoking novel that showcases Lisa Jewell's talent for crafting suspenseful and emotionally resonant stories. It's a testament to her ability to delve into the complexities of human nature and leave readers pondering the mysteries long after the final page. For fans of psychological thrillers and intricate family dramas, this book is a must-read that delivers on both suspense and substance.

I got this book last year and didn’t get a chance to read it before pub day. I ended up adding it to my #backlistbooks24 challenge because I knew I wanted to read it this year.
The timing worked out perfectly because the main characters are birthday twins who turn 45 in June. I just turned 45 in June, the week I was reading it! I didn’t realize this was the central part of the plot until I started the book.
At first, it was a little slow as the characters are getting introduced, but it quickly got interesting when creepy weird things started getting revealed. I feel like thrillers are the type of books where it’s better to say less when reviewing. I’ll just say that I eventually was hooked and couldn’t wait to find out what was the deal. Of course this is a thriller, so there are some heavy topics, but this one does include some underage concerns (not present day). If you’re a fan of domestic thrillers, Lisa Jewell, or suspense involving women in their 40s, check this one out for sure.

I'm a big Lisa Jewell fan and this book was no exception. It was a fresh take on what we think of as inappropriate relationships and how sometimes and parent really can't control a child.

I’m not sure I’ve ever read a book with a crazier character than Josie. This was a quick read that kept me on the edge of my seat. While there obviously aren’t an abundance of happy endings in the book, most things were wrapped up neat and tight. There are others I would’ve preferred were wrapped up, but I understand why the story needed to end that way. If you’re looking for something to pull you in, keep you guessing and turning the pages as quickly as possible, would definitely recommend this book.

Good twisty book. I recommend. Lisa Jewell is the queen of thrillers. Look forward to her next book.

As a fan of Lisa Jewel I was intrigued and interested until the end. I don’t want to spoil anything, so I’ll be vague; but I think too much was done to try and add layers of complexity last minute. Most of the book was spent building towards one conclusion, and at the last minute a shallow “alternative” is thrown out with the expectation that readers are supposed to bite. Not my favorite novel of hers, but I still look forward to what she writes in the future.

Thank you NetGalley and publisher for this ARC.

This was my first Lisa Jewell book. I will be reading more of her books for sure!

Fast paced, thrilling, dark, but oh so good!

There are triggers in this book so be aware.
From the start I wanted to race to the end to figure out what was happening and how this book was going to wrap up. My jaw was on the floor most of the time reading this!

Such a good shocker! Definitely not a quiet read!

Well, this was creepy. You meet a new “friend” but are they really? Things really take some twists and turns in this one. A great read!

Anything Lisa Jewell writes, I will read. I think this might be my new favorite story of hers. The plot, the pacing, the twists? Unmatched. I cannot wait for more!

I like Lisa Jewell and was excited to get an ARC from #netgalley. This book was only moderately enjoyable for me. It had some stalker elements and made me wonder how people don't see this actually happening to them. Who do you believe? is the narrator unreliable? Why is the main character so trusting? Reminded me a bit of Fatal Attraction with two female leads. It was just ok for me.

This was a good read and I enjoyed it. It was a quick read thriller with a decent amount of twist and turns. The overall story was indeed a psychological thriller and I liked that it in podcast style of interviewing. Josie was indeed weird and at times I wished Alix would just leave her alone. Overall, this book was very good, dark, and twisty!

This book was my first book by LIsa Jewell, and I really liked how twisty and unpredictable it was! I really enjoyed reading it, and it kept me on my toes. Although i thought about the twist at the end a lot, I didn't think it would come to be! Great writing and great twists and turns to the plot. The characters were all unlikable, in the best possible way, and it was a really fun read!

Thank you to the author, publisher and Net Galley for an advanced copy of this book in exchange for an honest review.

WOW! This book had me on the edge of my seat. I had no idea what was going to happen, and there are so many twists that I had whiplash. Incredible story telling, especially (later on) from the eyes of a true crime podcast! As someone who listens to true crime, I found it intriguing and compelling to read from the perspective of the woman making the podcast.
I loved the split perspective of both FMCS, and the time stamps keeping me feeling like I was part of the story. Incredible! One of my best reads so far.

This book was fantastic! It was everything I would want in a mystery/thriller novel. It had just enough suspense to keep me reading, even when I felt that I knew the ending. The characters were relatable in their lives and struggles, which made this book even more enjoyable to read. The ultimate clifff-hanger came at the end of the story.... or is it the end? That's open to interpretation!

This isn't the first Lisa Jewell book I've read, and I have to say I've yet to be ultimately disappointed. However, this book is definitely my favorite of all the titles I've read so far!
