Incredible. Amazing. Best thriller I've read this year so far by far! I freaking love Lisa Jewell, her books are always amazing, but this one is TOP NOTCH and I think my new favourite by her! If you're super late to the game like me and haven't read this yet, definitely bump it up on your TBR and prioritize this, trust me its worth it!
Everything was done to perfection. The format between Alix and Josie's POV's , the podcast parts, the Netflix production parts - everything flowed together SO well and definitely kept you DYING to know what happens next. This book is easily bingable and quick paced. The twists and turns were superb and I did noooooot see that ending coming!
Fantastic. Incredible. All the praise!
1000000000% recommend!

Mysterys related to podcasts definitely seem to be popular in the last 2-3 years, but this one has plenty of twists to keep it fresh and different from the others I have read. Incredibly descriptive and hard to put down!

Another banger from Lisa Jewell! One of her best. Stayed up all night reading. Always waiting in anticipation for her next one.

If THIS book is the end product of Lisa Jewell being uncertain during the writing process, I never want her to be sure again. This book was BRILLIANT! The pacing was incredible. The storyline exquisite. The mystery and intrigue, unparalleled. Some are saying it’s her best book to date and that might very well be true. The first of hers I ever read was And Then She Was Gone and this ranks up there with that one, IMO. 10/10 would recommend!

Thank you to netgalley for providing an e-galley for review. None of This is True is such a fun, twisty, never see it coming tale. Birthday twins have never seemed so evil. Alix and Josie meet at a restaurant where they are both celebrating 45 birthdays and Alix figures it makes for a good podcast material, until Josie starts telling her story.

"None of This Is True" had me questioning everything! This was such a dark and twisty book and the more I read, the more I was questioning who was telling the truth. The story was compelling, heartbreaking, and shocking.

This is another book that I read a year ago and did not post a review for. I ate this book up and I regret not telling the world sooner. Lisa Jewell is known for her dark story telling and making you feel like not all is right with the world. None of This is True opens with what seems like a fun meeting between two women on their birthday but quickly takes a turn for the worst. Unreliable characters. True Crime podcast ambiance. It was so dark and twisty. I loved it!

Okay this is definitely an interesting ride. Two women living two totally different and separate lives are brought together in a pub on the same night because they share the same birthday. One of them is a nut job and the story goes from there. Different than most thrillers I’ve read, but I needed more from the ending! Solid 4

Birthday twins coincidentally meeting, getting involved in a new podcast series and secrets start to trickle out!
From the start, Jewell had us hooked, gripped, and fully sat for this mystery thriller to unfold. With unreliable characters, so many twists and turns, this was hard to put down!
This was such a wild read, if you need an immersive thriller to cure your reading slump, THIS IS IT!

Lisa Jewell books are always a hit or miss for me, but None of This Is True is my favorite of hers by a landslide.
Having had this book so highly recommended by many, I was worried it wouldn't live up to the hype. I read both the physical and audio version and cannot recommend the audio enough! As an audiobook enthusiast, the production of None of This Is True is above and beyond anything I've listened to.

None of This Is True by Lisa Jewell is a riveting suspense that will keep you turning pages long into the night. Podcaster Alix is out celebrating her forty-fifth birthday when she meets Josie at the same pub, also celebrating her forty-fifth birthday. The two women are birthday twins - born on the same day at the same hospital. A few days later, Josie runs into Alix again and suggests that she become the next subject on Alix's podcast, to which Alix agrees. As the ladies become closer, secrets are revealed and their lives become more and more entwined and bad things happen.
The pacing of this book was stellar and the plot twist, which I though I had figured out, came as an actual shock! I don't want to get into too much, but just know that this book will stick with you long after you put it down.
Thank you to the author, publisher, and NetGalley for an advanced copy of this book in exchange for my honest thoughts.

This book was so twisted! I had to find out what was going to happen next, so I devoured it! I would have given it five stars but sometimes I was annoyed by Alix & Josie.

Thank you for allowing me to read this book. I enjoyed the characters and their arcs, and found the plot interesting. I look forward to reading more from this author.

Not my favorite of Jewell's but a serviceable one that was intriguing to read. I mainly had issues with how it tried to be thriller-y but then spelled out a lot of what was going on. I prefer to have some more mystery in my thrillers.

Thank you Netgalley for the advanced digital copy of None of This is True by Lisa Jewell in return for my honest review.
As I read the print version, I also listened to the audiobook of None of This is True by Lisa Jewell and I thought it was extraordinary. The mystery itself was very engaging, and the performance was next level. All of the voices were great, but Nicola Walker is a personal favorite of mine. Her talent elevates every artistic endeavor, and her work in this audible is no exception.
I had never heard of the phrase “birthday twins,” but after reading this mystery, I won’t long forget it. Inadvertently meeting on their birthday, Alix and Josie begin a podcast, business relationship that leads to death and destruction. Josie infiltrates Alix’s life and brings a darkness to it, a creepiness that causes discomfort and unease throughout the entire read, escalating as the pages turn. Lisa Jewell is a brilliant writer. A reader knows that with every one of her books it will be a smart, mysterious, entertaining read. She is a go-to author for me. My other favorite of hers is The Night She Disappeared. 4.5 stars rounded up.

Received a digital ARC of this book via NetGalley.
I love Lisa Jewell’s writing! I first discovered her in Then She Was Gone and have read everything written since then.
None of This is True is a contemporary narrative where two women who have lived separate lives are brought together from their shared date of birth and one woman’s desire to connect with someone. There are secrets, crimes, and resentments exposed once their lives begin to become connected. I loved the podcast and interviews sprinkled throughout the story. This story was mind bending and is indeed a binge read.

I waited a little bit to read this book. I read some great reviews so I was excited to dive in to a dark twisty story. Unfortunately this book did not hit the mark for me. Most the characters were not interesting. The gloss over about a pedophile, but he's still a good dad just felt wrong. The ending? It was abrupt and felt like I read the whole book for nothing, because you're still wondering what's true. Thank you to Netgalley and the publisher for giving me the opportunity to read this book.

A podcaster meets her birthday twin, and a podcast evolves. But one woman is holding a significant amount of information back, causing a rift in the relationship and a possible solution to a decades long disappearance.

I can't believe I forgot to review this! I love every Lisa Jewell book I've read but this is one of the best. It's creepy, sad, realistic and unique. A podcaster has her next story fall into her lap in the form of an isolated woman sharing the story of her marriage to a much older man. She's a sympathetic figure, but there's also something odd about her and weird stuff starts happening. Talk about becoming entangled! Loved it. Thanks to the publisher for the review copy.

I thought this was a great mystery/thriller. I had an inclining on where it would end up but there were elements that surprised me along the way. Lisa Jewell hasn't disappointed yet and this book was no different.
