Wow! What a chilling story!! I loved so many aspects of this book. From the unreliable narrator, the podcast storyline, the connections.

This story had a lot of buzz when I got my copy and I feel like it lead up to the expectations and more! I have already purchased the book to add to my own library and have recommended to many!!

Great thriller. Lisa Jewell always writes a solid thriller and this one had me on the edge of my seat the whole time.

This is classic Lisa Jewell at her best - addictive, compelling, unreliable narrators, unlikable characters, a fabulous twist that you don’t see coming. Ugh I just loved it! Really enjoyed the podcast element too. And that ending……wow! Highly recommend!

A popular podcaster finds her career going in directions she never expected after running into her ‘birthday twin’ at her 45th bday party.

I loved this at first because and thought it was entertaining but walked away disappointed. The audio is wonderful- it’s a full cast with clips from interviews- but there was one element toward the end that I thought brought the whole thing down.

It's a female obsession book and I typically love these. I would say its worth reading, if you dont mind feeling a little icky when you finish.

An absolute stunner. Eerie, suspenseful, shocking. This is Lisa Jewell at her best, and her best is off the chart.

Lisa Jewell is one of my favorite authors and I almost always rate her 5 stars. None of This is True is no exception and I loved it. I was hooked by these characters and their story line. The twists and turns was a wild creepy ride and I was definitely thrilled. Thank you so much Netgalley for my digital copy in exchange for my honest review. I’ve already convinced several of my friends to get this book and they have all loved it too!

THIS BOOK. So many twists. THE ENDING. Holy crap.

The twists are twisted. I will say that. Honestly, this whole book is pretty twisted. But it may have just made me love it that much more. To me, Lisa Jewell is one of the queens of psychological/domestic thriller She does such a phenomenal job with it that it’s hard to not fall in love with the story.

This book was a bit hard to follow for me on audio, but even with occasional rewinding and needing to find it in my physical copy, I was captivating.

Read the book. There’s not much that I can say here that wouldn’t give something away. So go read it. Meet Alix and Josie and discover their secrets with me.

Lisa Jewell knows how to write a gripping thriller that pulls the reader in and doesn’t let go. A riveting plot with unreliable characters keeps you guessing.

This book is Single White Female meets The Girl on the Train. It is twisty, and you can't trust anyone's story about what is happening, but especially Josie. This book poses the question - what would you do for a big break in your career? How much are you willing to risk? And, how easily manipulated are you? Not the best Lisa Jewell I've ever read, but still a very good read.

I’m going to keep this clean but know in my mind there’s a few more extreme words. All these characters are beyond nuts! I’m not sure any of them live in reality.

I’m always a fan of Lisa Jewell and this cover grabbed me along with all the rave reviews. And if you’ve read my reviews you know I’m a sucker for a book about a podcast. Never listened to one but always love reading about them.

Not sure I liked any of the characters and I could not figure out what was up with the secondary characters. They were all shrouded in some sort of mystery and I had radical theories on them all but none really panned out.

I would not read a lot about this before starting as this one could be easily spoiled and guessing what was going on was the best part for me.

I think if you are a fan of Lisa Jewell’s books or slow burn mysteries then you need to look into this one.

Thank you for the ARC copy.

This book kept me guessing. I liked the 2 POVs that built off each other, as well as the podcast element. Great characters and storytelling.

I absolutely enjoyed this one. It had such a great unreliable narrator that I had no idea who to trust!
Alix Summers crosses paths with an unassuming woman on her 45th birthday. She finds out they are actually birthday twins. Alix and Josie keep bumping into each other over the course of a few days. Josie volunteers to become the next subject of Alix’s well known podcast and opens the door to her web of secrets.
This story had me feeling unsettled and frustrated while reading. I was completely invested in the story and I had to know how it ended. I really enjoyed the Netflix/podcast elements in the story. This was a quick and thrilling read that I would definitely recommend!

I loved every twist and turn in this book. Even the ending, which some may not like, was perfect for this one. It really fits the title. It's hard to say much about this book or the characters without giving away any spoilers. I liked and disliked all the characters at some point in the book. Fans of Jewell or psychological thrillers should give this a read. Thank you to NetGalley and the publisher for an eARC of this book

Traveling With T's Thoughts:

I’ve been a fan of Lisa Jewell’s for quite some time. The Night She Disappeared, Invisible Girl, The Family Upstairs, Then She Was Gone, The Girls in the Garden and The Third Wife have all been books I’ve enjoyed by Lisa Jewell.

None of This Is True features my love of true crime, podcasts, and unforgettable characters.

What I liked:

Alix and Josie. While they might share the same birthday, they are nothing else alike- but each were compelling characters in their own way.

The ending. This book kept me flipping pages!

Bottom line: This is a winner on so many levels.

OMG! This is the best book I’ve listened to all year. What a roller coaster ride. What is Josie’s truth and what are blatant lies? If you can, you should listen to the audiobook. It’s like listening to a podcast and news reports. It’s so cool!

I believe this is the best book I've read in 2023!! I'm so glad I picked up this crime/thriller story, a genre that I love but haven't read in a long time unfortunately. This book is as weird as it gets and as weird as it can be. It keeps you on the edge until the very last page, and makes you work your brain into a knot.

It is an eerie, suspenseful and contagious plot with many twists that just keep coming one after the other. If you like grey characters/protagonists, inclusion of podcast/documentary format (which is so popular these day), and dysfunctional family dynamics in your fiction books, then this book is definitely a must read for you.

I look forward to reading more books by the wonderfully talented author Lisa Jewel. Thank you to NetGalley and the publisher for this ARC.

Finally, read this book that I've been saving on my Kindle for a holiday! This book kept me guessing right until the very end. The writing is typical of this author and was a real page-turner. A perfect book for relaxing time! My only criticism is that I disliked the main characters. Thanks to NetGalley, the author, and the publisher for the copy.

Wow, what an original and exciting story! This novel is so gripping that I couldn't bear to put it down. Lisa Jewell, once more, made me wish that there were more hours in a day so that I could spend them with her characters. Makes you wonder how crazy people really are in real life….

Thank you Netgalley for this advance readers copy.
