Twists, turns and birthday twins to boot. Alix Sunmer, is at a local pub celebrating her birthday when she runs into Josie Fair who is also celebrating her birthday. They are both turning 45 and share so many things and can’t believe they have never met before. But it is a one time, random meeting and both don’t think about it again. Well that’s until a few days later when Alix and Josie run into each other again. This time at Alix’s kids school. It seems a bit strange that she would see Josie here but doesn’t really think about it as just another coincidence. They start speaking and Josie realizes that Alix is a pretty famous podcaster. Josie is kind of star struck. As it turns out she has a pretty great story to tell.. she thinks it’s good enough for Alix to make a podcast of. Should Alix get involved? Should she go down that rabbit hole? It could be the story that solidifies her success.. but at what cost? She decides to do it and her life will never be the same. Having Josie in her life turns everything upside down. Between Josie’s stories and her presence in her life, Alix becomes very scared. She can’t tell what’s true? Or what are lies? She can’t seem to trust anyone, even her husband.. As quickly as she arrives, she disappears and Alix is left guessing and hunting for truths. Including a truth about her husband, which will leave her devastated. I am a big fan of Lisa Jewel and her books. This book was one of my favorites. I was guessing the whole way through and I kept reading to see how it would end. None of this is True by Lisa Jewel, was so good. I want to thank Netgalley, Atria Books and the author for my copy for an honest review. It was my pleasure to read and review this book. I can’t wait to read the authors next book. This book was 4 stars all around.. I hope you enjoy it as much as I did. 😊

Ready to have your moral compass thrown out the window and shattered? Prepared to have an obsession with denim make your skin itch? Pumped to think you know what is happening in this book and be completely (maybe?) wrong?
If you enjoy a complete mind-bender, step right up to this absolute freak show of a book! It’s wild, perverse, and completely thrilling.

This was so compelling to read and it took me on a roller coaster. I highly recommend this book.
Thank you to Netgalley and the publisher for a copy of this book for my honest review.

What a wild ride! While it did take me a minute to get into it, when I was in, I was in!
We read this for bookclub and the whole group was into it! We had some great discussion that went on for more than a hour.
Lisa Jewell always delivers on characters that have you questioning to the very end.
A excellent bookclub read and another hit from Lisa Jewell!

Loved this book!! None of This is True written by Lisa Jewell did not disappoint!! This thriller had me from the beginning! I could not put it down! Thank you NetGalley for the advance ebook of another 5 star thriller!

What a fun and great read! I finished it super fast, and it did not disappoint. Lots of twists and a great ending.
Thank you for the ARC!

This is my new favorite LIsa Jewell book! I absolutely could not put it down! Josie is such an intriguing character, I just could not figure out what to think of her!! At times it felt so predictable, and then NOPE! another twist! The ending was great-a bit disturbing, but not at all where I thought it was going! Thank you NetGalley and the publishers for an advanced copy of this amazing book in exchange for my honest review!

This gripping page-turner held me captivated throughout, with Josie's compellingly flawed character serving as a central highlight. However, it delves into heavy themes like pedophilia, alcoholism, and abuse, making it a somber and intense read. Laden with suspense and eerie undertones, the novel's conclusion left me with an unsettling chill.

Josie and Alix are birthday twins and they have a chance run in at the bar on their 45th birthdays. Alex is a successful podcaster who lives in a nice neighborhood with her husband and two kids, she is out celebrating with all of her friends. On the other hand Josie leads a very quiet life with two kids who she barely talks to and not many friends, she is out with her husband when she meets Alix. When Josie reaches out to Alix to start a podcast about her life, Alix has no idea what she has signed up for.
Lisa Jewell does it again, I had no doubt that she would! This was such a fantastic read and I loved the podcast element of it and how to brought together the book so well. I went into this book blind (which I would recommend everyone do) and it was so worth it, I had no idea what to expect and the twists were perfectly crafted! It had me on the edge of my seat and had me really creeped out many times. An easy 5/5 stars!
Thank you Netgalley and @atriabooks for the E-ARC to review.

One of the best audiobooks I've listened to in a long time! The interviews for the podcast made it feel like you weren't listening to a book. Very engaging. Also, the story was great and really kept me guessing. I recommend this book to everyone!

This was a fun thriller that had me questioning everything towards the end. Believe it or not, this was my first Lisa Jewell thriller, and I had a lot of fun with it. I enjoyed the podcast trope really well, and I thought the story made sense, and it did not seem over the top. The twists were really fun.

I loved this book. I honestly haven't read a book by Lisa Jewell that I haven't enjoyed. This is a great story for podcasts lovers. I loved the writing, the characters and the story as a whole. This book kept me guessing and one of my favorite reads from last year.

'None of This Is True' by Lisa Jewell is the kind of mystery you want to read! Well plotted, well written, and just twisty enough. The characters have depth and their motivations are well developed. Great read, perfect for book club.

First off, WOW! This book completely took me off guard, yes… it’s had great reviews and of course it’s Lisa Jewell but this book was fantastic. The format was completely new from Jewell and the suspense and secrets sprinkled throughout this story was great. I enjoyed the format of a podcast being recorded throughout the story, with secrets and surprises begin spoon fed to the reader. And the storyline was addictive!
This is a book that will stick in your head for days. Setting a bar for all future crime mysteries!
I loved it! One of my favorites for sure.

My initial rating was a 3, but then i re-read it via audio book and am bumping my rating to a 4 because it was done so well with the narration. Good book. I think this was the first Lisa Jewell for me too.

Truly one of the best Jewell books to date. The characters are complex and readers will questions exactly what's going on until the very end. Lovers of True Crime Podcasts will enjoy the pacing and style of writing.

This was an interesting thriller read for me. The writing did keep turning the pages to see what happened next but when I finished there were a lot of loose ends. I did not like any of the characters and since no one does tell the truth you are not sure who to believe and you do not know what really happened. Despite all that it was a good read.

When two "birthday twins" meet on the evening of their 45th birthdays, their lives are irrevocably altered.
This had a very slow burn to it and the first 1/3 of this book just wasn't really holding my interest. However, once the premise was set and the plot started to evolve I couldn't put this down. I liked the "Verity-esque" reveal. Was not a huge fan of glossing over Walter's wrongdoings. But then again this book really drives home the message of how much a woman will go through to excuse a man's negative actions.

I've been remiss in reading this one, because I didn't realize just how fun it was going to be! This was the kind of story where you want to throw your hands up over your eyes to stop from seeing the inevitable conclusions, but you just can't resist peeking. Full of characters with nuance and rough edges, it kept you guessing even onto the last page. My only complaint would be that I would have liked the daughters to be fleshed out a little more, especially considering their somewhat out of left field importance to the last 10% of the book. But, overall a fun read!

Thank you Netgalley and Atria Books for this eARC!
What I liked:
- complex characters
- dual POV
- incredibly creepy
- always love a London setting
- audiobook was a 10/10
What I didn't:
- could see the twists coming from a mile away.
- ending was a little weird
Overall, this was fast-paced, suspenseful, and a knockout thriller. may be my favorite from LJ!!!!
