Many thanks to NetGalley and the publisher for providing an advance copy of the ebook! I really enjoyed the author's writing style of this book.

I enjoyed the specfic day breakdown of how long each phase of the moon cycles last. I liked how that was because sometimes I get mixed up on how it works. Then it goes into if you dream about specific topics during certain phases of the moon, what it can mean. I definitely will be keeping it to reference for my own dream journal.
I did feel the intro was way to long and there was so much random information that was not useful and just broke up the flow of the book.

What a unique dream dictionary. Tying the dreams to the lunar cycles and the unusual dream subjects it includes makes it fascinating. One I should get in print.

I received a copy of this book for a fair and honest review. I have read a lot of dream dictionaries before, but never one based around the phases of the moon. I never thought that would have made a difference before finding this book. It something I will look back when I want to take a deeper look at my dreams. It gave me something to think about when it comes to moon and how it plays a role in my dream interpretations going forward.

Wow this was really cool. The book says that a dream can have a different meaning depending on the moon phase you have it in.

Also this book is just gorgeous. The colors and illustrations are just lovely.

Lovely book. I found it very calming; the colours, visuals, the author's tone. And I absolutely loved how each dream was connected to the moon, and had a different meaning depending on where our moon is at in its cycle.

I have read other fantastic dream dictionaries which have had an absolute abundance of different dreams - this one only has 30. I admit, I was very disappointed and really wanted more!

However, this book does differ in its approach with the moon and its depth. The author gives details for each dream and its corresponding moon phase, and also draws wisdom from ancient civilizations.

ARC REVIEW NETGALLEY

The format was very smashed together, hard to separate topics. The concept is interesting but I find it a stretch and another new age concept that may have valid points but again using information to validate something like Dreams, some of the meaning of dreams seems universal and interchangeable right in the beginning. I find this very paint the picture you want, etc. wrongfully mixing science & spirituality without amplified research.

Thank you to NetGalley for the ARC of this book.

This book was absolutely not what I expected – in the best way, possible.

I always enter into reading “dream dictionaries” with a bit of skepticism; surface-level descriptions of what XYZ must mean. This book went far beyond that.

I am astounded at the amount of research Saul went into for this book, and do not find it “uncomfortable” as it has been mentioned by other reviewers. In fact, I find it simply solidified the absolute certainty that our dreams have a significant value in our everyday life. Thousands of years of study are evidence of that, and Saul shares that wisdom with her readers.

Anyone with a toe in the world of the metaphysical will know and understand how the moon can impact our daily lives, but to read about how it could influence our subconscious, and, subsequently, the meaning of the symbolism in our dreams, was truly fascinating.

Of course, since it’s a dictionary, I haven’t made it through all the item descriptions. In fact, this is one of those books that I would love to have in physical format so I can reference it more easily as I wake.

Brilliant. Easily my favourite “dream dictionary” I’ve ever encountered.

Great layout, detailed descriptions and very easy to use. The author appears to be knowledgeable on the subject as their interpretations are easy to understand.

The Moon Dust Dream Dictionary provides an intriguing lunar based perspective on dream interpretation. The Author's writing style and chosen book structure work well for this type of dream study tool but the history section and tone regarding modern science is uncomfortable for readers coming from a non metaphysical background as they first approach this topic. This book will be a tool most easily utilized by dream journal keepers with a fair history of dreams and dates to do comparative study and interpretation with.

I give this 4 stars, because the dictionary part was great, and the history was genuinely interesting...but I felt there were too many digs at science. The book started out stating that everyone has different beliefs but that we all have a general feeling of something bigger than us, whether it be a God, the Universe, whatever energies we feel around us, and I got the feeling the author wanted to respect each opinion and be respected. I appreciated the idea that the author planned on using the phraseology that she felt most comfortable with, but that we were welcome to replace it with our own understanding of the world. We then went into the difference between the sun and the moon and how they affect us, and how each mood phase affects our psyche. I thought this was fascinating.

Then...we suddenly start bashing science. It felt odd and out of place. We move on and I learned a little more history and I love history so this was great, and then we started learning about what science says about how we dream and what it all means...I also thought this was interesting, but then the author calls it "mumbo jumbo." Honestly, the weird science bashing almost made me stop reading.

The dictionary part of this was very cool, if you want a well throughout dream dictionary but don't care for the history lessons, the majority of this book will work for you. Honestly the only reason this isn't 5 stars is because of the unnecessary science bashing.

This was a really informative book on a subject I am really enjoying learning about.

The book is split up into sections which is really useful for when you go back to look for thise specific information.

Cover was gorgeous and really draws you in.

This is a very interesting dream guide concept, but I felt I couldn’t connect with the author’s perspective fully. What I liked: the idea that different symbols can be interpreted differently based on what phase the moon was in when they appeared, the meanings of each phase of the moon and how they affect our dreams. What I didn’t like: a lot of the introductory material I just couldn’t vibe with, probably because I hold different belief systems, but also a lot of the introductory material felt a bit disjointed. I also wish there was a more comprehensive list of symbols and more interpretations.
