It was a lot shorter than I expected it would be even for a joke book. It has some funny/clever jokes in it, but this is not as extensive as it could have been.

I got several good chuckles out of this. Nothing really new or groundbreaking and I wouldn't pay very much for this, but would totally buy it for the goth dad.

If you are Goth, then you will enjoy this book of humor. Some jokes adapted from earlier sources, some originals, easy and fun to read. Some good laughs. It is sort of a niche market, but it fulfills the market of goth humor. I love all humor and this book delivers. Full of puns, such as the title would indicate, Oh My Goth. Indeed.

I laughed out loud at several of the jokes. Any Goth (or anyone who knows one) will get a kick out of the jokes and illustrations that accompany them!

This was a super quick funny read. I would say half of the jokes in this book are brilliant, the other half are goth dad jokes. However, I think the good outweighed the bad. Written in Q/A format and one liners, with goth related images.

My favorite jokes were the following:

Me: How much for the goth cucumber?
Clerk: That’s a cactus.

Q: What’s a goth’s favorite vegetable?
A: Corn on the macabre.

Some of these made me laugh out loud and some.. well, not so much. Granted I'm maybe not the target audience for these. All in all, a fun quick read and I'll tuck some of jokes away for next Halloween!!

Thanks to Netgalley and IBPA for the ARC!

I only got this today and I’ve just spent the better part of the afternoon (working from home of course) cackling away to myself.
Andrew Schaffer has the best sense of humour and this compilation of Goth jokes was a real hoot.

I’ve tagged a few of the jokes to use in my meeting ice breakers.
Thanks for the opportunity to read and review this fun piece.

This was entertaining.

Some of the jokes weren’t for me and I didn’t fully understand them, but for the most part most made me at least smile. I’m a sucker for dad jokes/cheesy jokes so most of these were right up my alley. A few of them even make me chuckle. I’d say that it’s nice to bring a small smile to your face.

The edition looks really nice and definitely goes with the theme, but being from Latin America I just felt this was a too US centered book.

Few of the jokes actually made me laugh out loud, some are way too old to elicit anything but a resigned-filled sigh of nostalgia.

It’s also very rigid in gender roles and pronouns (why did the goth painted their nails black, you may ask, since boys, girls, all, none and every goth in between paint their nails black).

I don’t see the value of this book, honestly. If I want a portrait of Edgar Allan and a drawing of a raven I know where to look.

Also I feel like the cover from here would do better than the one that was downloaded? Not like it's gonna do wonders for the content.

A cute collection of dark and gothic jokes. Short and simple. As a self proclaimed goth I feel the book worked for the intended target audience. Loved the references to Poe and Lovecraft.

It’s hard to review a joke book, but here we go.

These were all pretty silly, a bit on the juvenile side. I found a handful of standouts that made me laugh. It really reminded me of my niece in her middle school goth phase. I told her a couple and she got a good laugh.
I did appreciate the pictures too. I say for any teen going through their inevitable goth phase, this might be fun.

OMG, or Oh My Goth, perhaps. This was everything I needed and more.

I am so thankful to 8th Circle Press, NetGalley, and Andrew Shaffer for granting me advanced access to this wonderfully hilarious joke book that features dark humor that scratched all of my itches.

Some of my favorite jokes include:

- Why did the goth leave the bar? It was Happy Hour.
- Why did the goth ace the math test? All the questions were about Joy Division.
- I'm so goth, I need SPF 30 when I open the fridge.
