As someone who has pushed trauma aside because it hurt and was too hard I found this book a godsend. There were definitely some areas that were very hard and others that were very confronting and I felt like Dawn was calling me out (Toxic Ultra Independence anyone?) However I slowly pushed through and took breaks when it did get too much but always went back to it and started again but in a different area. I have continued to work on healing me and it will be a long journey but I keep returning to She Recovers regularly.

I LOVE recovery literature, especially ones geared toward women. I really enjoy the daily excerpts that tend to motivate me regularly. I would 100% recommend this to any women in recovery of ANYTHING.
