I’m always amazed at how LambCat is able to balance humour and being heartfelt all at once with this series.
This volume didn’t shy away at all from the deeper issue of self-esteem. And seeing Gwen grapple with her self-esteem really impacted me. I can identify so deeply with how she felt. At my lowest times, I could barely bring myself to look into the mirror, and when I did, all I could do was focus on every single little imperfection, I wasn’t seeing myself as a whole person, inside and out at all. The way this struggle was likened to Gwen seeing herself with her reflection cracked was absolutely genius.
The humour was great. In this volume we have the Princels (took me a while to get it, but I did!), acidic saliva, frogs coming out of the mouth, the return of that witch who thinks Gwen is one of her sisters (I LOVED it when she said that’s my witch!). I would say the first volume is funnier, but this one has much more emotional depth. But I absolutely still laughed because this is LambCat!
I also liked seeing Gwen’s relationship with Frederick evolve. His redemption arc is underway. I find his relationship with Gwen to be even more powerful than the ones Gwen’s sisters have with the other plaid princes, as theirs isn’t built solely on physical attraction (which is important, but not the only thing).
I can’t wait to read volume three! The Argyle Lord being straight up attracted to Gwen is going to be an absolute game changer!
Thank you, NetGalley and Wattpad WEBTOON Boo Group, for providing an eARC in exchange for an honest opinion.

Recieved an advanced copy of this book and already can’t wait for volume 3. The story picks up right where it left off and leaves the reader waiting to find out what happens next for the princess.

I love the Cursed Princess series. In fact, it was the only reason I ever downloaded Webtoons to begin with a couple of years ago. Gwen is a character that a lot of readers I am sure can connect with. We have all at times not seen ourselves like we use to when we look into the mirror. I love that her inner beauty is what the Cursed Princess Club sees and I love how they support and try to bring her up so that she can see herself as they do. Such a truly amazing comic with beautiful graphics, and characters that you just love reading more and more about. I also love that Jamie is so gender fluid. He is just a hoot to read.
Thank you so much to Webtoons and Netgalley for allowing me to read an advance copy of this title.

Cursed Princess Club is a great series sending positive messages. You may think you know how the story goes, but it keeps taking you to a new place with every chapter. The artwork is great and characters are very expressive.

I started reading this as a webcomic on Webtoon and I'm really happy to see the second volume in this series! The story is progressing well and I love that it's both silly and uplifting. I hope volume 3 comes out very soon.

I really enjoyed the first volume and when I saw the second volume on Netgalley I put in my request right away! I was so glad I got approved! This volume was as good as the first one and I didn’t want it to end. I can’t wait until volume three comes out! And yes, I know this is on Webtoon but I like physical versions better. I love Gwen and her possum so much! The characters and the artwork is amazing and beautiful. I love this story so much! Thank you so much to Netgalley and the publisher for a copy of the arc in return for an honest review!

I'm coming at this review not having read the first volume, and the only thing I can say at this point is that oh my goodness I am in love with this book.
It's the kind of book where I find myself just wanting to throw out a list of praiseful adjectives as a review; funny, smart, irreverent, heartwarming, empowering. This book sends fantastic messages about loving yourself while at the same time being genuinely hilarious. I cannot wait to get this on my shelves and into the hands of my students.

Once again when I find myself reading this manga … I am in love !!! Totally and completely enthralled. I have such a great time reading it and watching how the story develops with these characters !!! I so can’t wait for the next chapter!!!!

Review to come June 29th on blog/other places.
I received this book from the publisher/Netgalley in exchange of an honest review.
😍 While of course sad, I did love how Gwen saw herself in the mirror as it really felt so relatable. My self-image is also terrible. And so I could also relate to the princels (sorry, which I always read as incels). I don’t see my face breaking, but I do see a lot of fat. A whole lot of fat. Everywhere. So I just wanted to hug Gwen. Tell her she was not alone. That it wasn’t a curse, well, OK, in a way it is, but you know what I mean. I do hope that Gwen is able to fix her self-image, and I hope that one day I will be able to do the same. She at least got a lot of advice and love from people around her. Advice that I will definitely take in consideration as I try to fix my self-image.
😍 I loved finding out more about the Cursed Princess club, how it started, what is in the shed/barn, what is up with the boss/who started the club. I loved that we got so much backstory.
😍 I loved the princes and then especially the prince destined to be with Gwen. I loved that they got a bit closer with each chapter and that they shared something together.
😍 Jamie was such a gem! I love him so much, he makes me laugh, and I love how he tries to help out his sisters (though his efforts this time just made Gwen very uncomfortable). I love how free he is and doesn’t care what he wears.
😍 I loved seeing the Cursed Princess club and loved seeing the girls (and boy) get together and do fun things, learn about life, and more.
😍 The art was stunning again!
😍 And yes, are we going to figure out what is up with Gwen? I mean, she may not be cursed, but hello? She looks totally different from her sisters + she has pointy ears. Something is up and I have been curious about it since the beginning. Hopefully in the next volume we get to it!
😍 I loved Gwen’s sisters, they were both hilarious, but also supersweet and I love how they are there for Gwen. Help her out. Like when there was that ball and the people there just sucked with making Gwen feel good and her sisters just took it over and boom, stunning!
😍 I just love a girl who bakes and reads. Gwen is really fab!
😍 Plus, it was so sweet of her to help out the people in the castle!
😍 That fanclub, good lord! They were mean, but I just couldn’t help but laugh as their plans kept being foiled and one of them even found the princess all OK.
😶 The mystery of the letters, on the one hand I loved it a lot as I was curious who was writing them and what was up with them, on the other hand, ARGHH! How could they do that?
😶 Dad, please stop smothering your daughters, it is just creepy now.
But all in all, I had so much fun reading this one! And I cannot wait for the next one.
