Okay, so I might have did not read the book but it's on my TBR. I was going through some major book-slump on that time period which lasted more than six months. I could not pick up books. I did not have it in me to force myself either as it would lead to a bad mood and a bad review. Hopefully I will pick this book up soon.

In this book, we finally get to read Xaneth and Aisling's story. The story is full of action, emotions, and love. The reapers are threatened again, will Xantet help them or will he fight alone? Will both Xaneth and Aisling accept their growing emotion?
I volunteered to review an ARC of this book for Netgelly

Xaneth is on the hunt for evil. He was captured and tortured by his aunt. Xaneth can’t deny what he was meant to do and the attraction to a Reaper just maybe the thing that brings his obsession to an end. Aisling is a Reaper. She’s determined to protect and bring back the man who helped them defeat their enemy. Aisling is on a mission to Xaneth and help him fight the evil he must find. A Dark Alpha’s Fury may just lead to a love neither could deny.

Dark Alpha’s Fury is Donna Grants final installment of her Reaper series. Book sixteen brings the final Reaper Aisling the mission of trying to find and help a former royal turned evil hunter Xaneth. Since he was a big help to the Reapers in defeating their former enemy, she’s determined to help him. This story takes two much beloved Reaper characters and gives them a chance to find love while facing the danger of a new threat. The new threat will bring danger, passion, and an attraction that won’t be denied. Donna Grant’s final story Dark Alpha’s Fury brings her Reaper series to a logical and satisfying conclusion as the Reapers fight for the fate of all Fae against an enemy that wants to rule them all. She gives these two characters the story all Reaper fans have been waiting for. Their lives are put on the line as the search for the enemy and reveal their darkest secrets. Donna Grant takes the reader on a passionate, suspenseful love story that brings a much-loved series to its conclusion with Dark Alpha’s Fury. A must for Grant fans and this one is hoping for updates on the Reapers and maybe some crossover with her Skye Druid series.

This is book 16 in The Reapers series and it is the last book of them. Kinda. It is the book that precedes the spin-off series for the Druids. And in it, we finally get Xanath's story!! I have been impatiently waiting for his and Aisling's story. And this in absolutely no way disappoints! I'm not going to say much because let's be real, most everything would end up being a spoiler with this story and series! But we finally learn Aisling's betrayal and how she became a Reaper...and my heart absolutely broke. Xanath has been through horrible things, but honestly I think it ends up making him a better person. I loved them together. I loved how this whole story comes together and how they finally (FINALLY!!) get their HEA! It was absolutely perfect the way it plays out for them!

I really enjoyed this introduction into this world and I just couldn’t get enough of it. I just so thoroughly enjoyed meeting these new characters and getting to go on their journey. I will most definitely be reading more wonderful books from this author.

Xanath and Aisling are swooooon-worthy! With all the baggage that each of them carries it's so amazing to see how they just fit perfectly as a whole. Damn! Romance in fiction is so much more fun than in IRL.

Love love love this one! So wonderful to see more focus on Xanath. Dark Alphas Fury captured my attention and sucked me in until the end. There was really no dull part. This book could be read as a standalone as all important things are explained as they come, but I would recommend reading all of them. You're missing out if you dont!

This is the last book in the Reapers series and man does it make a grand exit to the series. Excellent spice, battle of good vs evil, and a world of magic only Donna Grant could create and pull you into. This was an excellent read!

Thank you to Net Galley and the publisher for this arc. I love Donna Grants books, I think I've read them all. The characters were very appealing and I always like that she brings characters in from previous stories.

Another great book from Donna Grant. I absolutely love her dragon king series. This one is about the Reapers. It's Xaneth's story. You get to find out what he is and see him stop fighting his feelings for Aisling. It has good fighting evil, fairies and even a dragon king or 2 show up. It's filled with action throw in a sprinkling of love and hot sex and you've got a recipe for an interesting read. I haven't read all of Donna grants books, but I look forward to reading more of them.

Thank you to NetGalley, Donna Grant and DL Grant LLC for the opportunity to read this ARC.

Dark Alpha’s Fury is book 16 in Donna Grant’s Reaper Series and this is one I’ve been waiting to read for quite some time. This was enjoyable, quick paced and I loved reading about Xaneth and Aisling and watching their relationship grow. Great end to an amazing series!

This was fantastic! Thrown into this world yet again with passion, frustration, intrigue, tenderness, and understanding has me swooning. I think this is one of my favorite books of the series. From an incredible female lead to a male lead that matched her, challenged her, ignited her, and gave her heart a home, this was one of my favorite books by this author.

Aisling and Xaneth were absolutely right for one another and I've been waiting for them to find their HEA since the moment they entered one another's orbit, even tangentially. Usaeil's torture has messed up Xaneth in ways that we knew, but didn't really know, you know? That struggle bred distrust in epic proportions and finding a tentative trust that became so all encompassing that it grew to a fantastic love in Aisling.

The history behind Aisling being a Reaper was going to be rough, I knew that, but I don't think I was prepared for just how emotional I became when I learned just what happened. That she could trust Xaneth and love him was incredible because I'm not sure I could open myself to someone after all that heartache. They really soothed the hurts in one another and I'm so so glad they were the ones Donna matched for one another.

I'm sad that this is the end of the Reapers' series, but knowing I'll see them again in the Dark World world gives me a little comfort because I'm just so not ready to be done with them. That there's always an evil that crosses all their paths, the dragon kings, reapers, and warriors, soothes my inner angst at this being the last of this particular series.

Dark Alpha's Fury is a wickedly mind-melting and wholly life upending story of a love that will never be denied. I walked into this story completely blind, and I have to admit that I thoroughly enjoyed discovering all of the joys and sorrows found within these pages without prior knowledge to overshadow them. While my heart was absolutely shredded, it was also encouraged and guided to see past the pain and the grief to the upcoming first light after the storm. No one is every truly gone; they are just lost for a short time from us.

Xaneth has a purpose and he intends to see it through to the end. If he has nothing else, he has his will to fight and to end evil. That must be enough when his heart begins to long for something he cannot and should not have. Aisling is a formidable Reaper who has proven her loyalty time and time again. What she cannot align with her job is her wayward heart. When her heart calls out and finds Xaneth, she is both intrigued and wary. She is tasked with bringing him in as an ally to fight against the Fae Others, but her true motivation may be something altogether different. When the heart gets involved in the fight against evil, how can these two stay objective and yet keep themselves protected against something they both know will destroy them in the end?

My heart always ached for Aisling as she held herself apart from her fellow Reapers. She was their friend and ally and sister, but there was always a wall that she erected to keep them from getting too close to her. I had hoped there was someone who could match her ferocity and passion, and I was thrilled to have found that in Xaneth. He truly was the only one who could ever reach her behind her steel laced barriers. When these two finally let their guard down, they connect on an otherworldly level and begin to become who they were always meant to be - an unstoppable force.

Donna Grant truly owns my heart with the powerful magic and unapologetic love that flows through her world of the Dragon Kings, the Reapers, and may others. She knows how to expertly pull on my heart strings and open myself up to her myriad of curious and fascinating characters within her books. She is a goddess in her own right, and her writing proves that as it soars to new heights of wonder and passion with each new book and couple we meet.

Having been given a copy of this book in exchange for an honest review, I can say that I feel distraught that I haven't read the others in this series. Xaneth and Aisling's story is full of surprises and intrigue that leaves its readers on the edge of their seats! Through her work she allows readers to experience what it's like to run the gamet of emotions that her characters experience. This was a very well written book and I'd definitely recommend it for anyone looking for a longer series to sink their teeth into!

Thank you #netgalley for the advance reader copy in exchange for an honest, unpaid review.

An action packed, well delivered conclusion to the Reaper series. Dark Alpha's Fury is the sixteenth and final book telling Xaneth and Aisling’s story, The build for these characters story has been building through both the Dark Kings and Reaper series. The character are dynamic and unique the story is compelling and engaging.
If you haven’t read this series you are truly missing out, but I do recommend you head to Donna Grant’s website and read her books in order.

FINALLY!!! This was an amazing ending to an amazing series! I almost don’t have words, I loved every page, character, twist and turn. I enjoyed a few glimpses to couples from previous books and how everything has just come around. You will not be disappointed.

After Xaneth was captured and tortured by the Queen of the Fae, he's a changed man. He has become a one-man destroyer and evil cannot escape his reach.  He yearns for the soft touch that Aisling represents in his life but does not feel that he deserves it. Now he's become the target of the evil others.  Hasn't Xaneth paid enough? does he not deserve some form of happiness? Read on to find what happens and how it all comes together.
Aisling is a reaper, her story that brought her to death's attention and an offer to become a reaper is heart rending.  Can she save Xaneth and bring him some love and peace? She's definitely tuned to his signature and can find him just as he can find her.
Now she has come to the attention of the leader of the Others as someone who can possibly be exploited to bring Xaneth to heel. As the two of them battle enemies, real and imagined, they have to figure out if they have a future together.
The Dragon Kings play a large role in supporting Xaneth and the reapers battle the evil that is poised to destroy earth. It's a great story but I did find both Aisling and Xaneth particularly Xaneth a bit too tortured and resistant to love.
I have enjoyed this series though and I'm sure considering how the different series in the Dark Universe seem to converge, we will see these characters again.

I had been waiting forever for this story, and for the most part it was great. There were some parts that dragged, and some that I thought were anticlimactic, but overall Aisling and Xaneth had an enjoyable journey.

The last book in the series?!? Say it ain’t so! This world is so rich and the characters so interesting that I am sad to let them go, but very happy with how it ended up playing out.

Xaneth is one of the wounded from the previous fae queen’s madness. She tortured him to the point that he escaped a changed man. With new powers to find evil, he feels compelled to stamp it all out in order to atone for whatever put him in that position in the first place. There is one exception to his tireless crusade, however, and that’s Aisling. Aisling feels just as drawn to him, but he is a prickly sort. They have danced around one another for a while now, but it took the big showdown where Aisling was seriously wounded for Xaneth to make any sort of move toward her.

Both Aisling and Xaneth came out of that battle changed, but the enemy got even more confirmation that she is his weakness. For good of bad, with that out in the open, they are forced to work together to finally put an end to their most powerful enemy. These two are such a good balance to one another that it was like two magnets fighting their attraction until now. By the end of the book, through some wonderful teamwork, we get the happy ending you’d hope for at the start. I wouldn’t change a thing!
