Extroverted social media sensation plus introverted hot farmer = true love, obviously.

Also, there are KITTENS and they love him and he loves them? Because he is perfect in every way, as are all of the men in the general vicinity of Lovelight Farms.

These books make me so wildly happy I feel like the only way to subdue myself is to shove my entire fist in my mouth and scream. Everyone is so genuine and earnest and just trying their best to be their best for the people around them. They’re so cute. I can’t stand it I’m going to implode. This is a Lovelight Farms & co fan account now, always and forever.

Evie and Beckett have met twice. The first time was a whirlwind. The second time was bewildering. And though Beckett has accepted that she has returned to her chaotic globetrotting life and he’ll never see her again, Evie is not so sure. Because she has loved her career and the opportunities it has provided her… but it’s been awhile since she’s been truly happy. And she remembers exactly when (and where) it last was.

So though he’s apprehensive, and she’s uncertain, the two strike up a truce: Evie will stay at the farm and try to find her happy, and Beckett will do his best to help her (while trying valiantly to protect his heart). But the seemingly unlikely duo has a lot more in common than just chemistry, and as Evie’s time at the farm stretches onward, it grows more and more apparent that the two are exactly what each other need.

“I know you came back here because you were looking for your happy. But, Evie, you gave me mine while you were looking for yours, and I think it’s only fair if I try to return the favor.”

Evie and Beckett. She’s a social media influencer who’s been feeling a little disconnected from work and is in need of a break to find her “happy.” The only place where she felt that way was at Lovelight Farms, and it has nothing to do with the fact that the man she hooked up with works there.

This book stole my heart. Beckett Porter stole my heart, especially with his handwritten notes and his vast knowledge about the constellations. He’s a grumpy man but underneath it all, he’s a lovable man that will do anything for the people he loves. Did I mention that he has tattoos and owns four kittens + a duck?

I live these characters and this small town. Another witty small town romance full of banter and snarky sexiness. This was another 5 stars and this author is now on my auto buy list!

This book was so cute and I loved every minute of it! I'll definitely be picking up the other books in the series.

Oh what polar opposites we have in Evelyn and Beckett. Evelyn can talk to anyone, she makes everyone feel warm and welcome and wanting to tell their story. Beckett is quiet and reserved and though he shows he cares, it’s more behind the scenes and not loudly.

Evelyn and Beckett met before the series stated in an out of character one night stand for both, but somehow they still can’t stop thinking of one another. They are both just rolling through the motions of life right now. Evelyn finds herself back at Lovelight farms though and somehow in Beckett’s guest house. This brings a little bit of forced proximity as they grow to learn about each other in all these small moments, even though they still need to confess their feelings.

I loved getting to know Beckett. He has this rough exterior, but he is a cinnamon roll at heart with such a touching story and his family is just the sweetest. Evelyn has her very supportive best friend who is there for her and doesn’t mind if she needs to walk away from her high profile career.

Beckett and Evelyn just have to learn to trust each other, accept that are what each other wants, and learn to say it out loud.

I read this immediately after I finished book 1 and I loved this small town even more this time around. Evelyn really helped show case it and all the quirky characters it has to offer!

trigger warnings: anxiety, sexual content, hypothermia, racist microaggressions, alcohol, chronic illness, anxiety and panic disorder

My feelings about this book can be summed up in one endless scream. It's so darn good.

This is the second book in the Lovelight farms series following Beckett, a Christmas tree farmer (who might or might not have autism it's not explicit) and Evie, an influencer who gives a platform to small business around the US. They had a one night stand and run into each other months later (in the first book in this series). Evie has a crisis about her job and decides to camp out in this small town until she sorts everything out. No hotel vacancies means Beckett's spare rooms are the only viable option. Forced proximity, prior sexual tension, tall and broody man who is extremely adorable with small animals.....there's really only one way this could resolve itself.

Evie and Beckett's romance is so tender that it hurt. Like short of breath hurt. Beckett's caretaker vibes and Evie's sunshine community cornerstone vibes mesh together so perfectly. They're the perfect compliments to each other's good and bad parts. It's not a slow burn exactly but the waiting that you have to endure as they tip toe around each other makes those small moments of emotional bonding and physical contact so precious. The build up to the break in tension is IMMACULATE. Perfect perfect perfect.

I literally have no critiques about this book except to beg for more scraps of content about them. Actually no, the local sheriff is not a major player in the story but he's...present...and idk but ACAB. It's fine he's not any different from the busybodies and is mostly the town's resident father figure. I can mostly ignore it.

Ugh the next book can't come fast enough I stg.

I loved the first book in this series, and this one so much! I love how all of their stories are connected. Love this author!

I LOVED Beckett! Possibly my favorite guy that B.K. Borison has written!! This story was so sweet and swoon worthy. I loved the small town feels! The cover is beautiful as well!

I loved watching Beckett unravel and open up to Evie. I wish that we had more of their backstory to see how they fell so quickly. Borison has a way with words that’s lyrical and vulnerable. I can’t wait to read more

In the Weeds is the sequel to Lovelight Farms. It follows Beckett, who works with Stella, and Evelyn, the social media influencer who highlighted the farm in the first book. While I didn't enjoy this book as much as I loved the first one, I still thought it was really good and I'm looking forward to reading the next installment of the series!

Evelyn's story arc was really relatable and I loved seeing her grow as a person. I think feeling lost in your life is something a lot of adults feel at some point or another and I really enjoyed the depiction of someone choosing to leave their unfulfilling job and pursue what they really wanted. I also loved that Beckett had noise sensitivities that made it difficult for him to do well in crowded settings. It was very relatable.

Their second-chance romance was sweet too. I appreciated that the characters realized they were communicating badly and decided to be better about it. I think the miscommunication still frustrated me a bit for how long it took them to admit they had feelings for each other. The slow burn was a bit too slow. But otherwise, I really enjoyed the book!!

This book is perfection. Evie is an icon and just the sweetest cinnamon roll. I want to hug her. I would dedicate my life to ensuring she finds her happy every single day. And god, BECKETT??? Sweet, sweet Beckett. Beckett is the grumpy, socially anxious, tattooed farmer who adopts kittens and ducks and grocery shops in the middle of night to avoid people but cares so deeply for the people in his life he’d do anything for them hero that we DESERVE. He’s the actual love of my life. BK Borison has created the perfect little town and characters that feel like a warm hug and a mug of hot chocolate wrapped up in a fuzzy blanket.

Book Review:
“But that’s the thing about happiness, I guess. You can show whatever you want to the world and not feel a lick of it inside yourself.”

How do you put emotional damage into a book? Well, I think @authorbkborison figured it out with this one, in the most beautiful of ways. There were several points where I could feel my heart constricting with happiness, sadness, joy, and heartbreak along with Evie and Beckett.

I felt so deeply the pondering and feelings of being lost in your life and choices and feeling the need to blow it all up and try again in search of happiness right along with Evie as she was struggling to find her happy.

If you are looking for some steamy scenes paired with some slow-burn build up, and some moments between that will make your heart clench, I highly recommend checking this one out, I know I will be reading the other two in this series as soon as I can find the time!

“It’s okay to want different things,” she says. “People change. You’re allowed to change. Doing less doesn’t make you less.”

Thank you Berkley Romance for my ARC copy in exchange for my honest review!

B.K. Borison carries the same style forward from her first book of the series. Easy to follow, the back story is there, and the small town is just fun.

Thanks to NetGalley and Berkley for the ARC.

In this story, we see tree farmer Beckett reunited with his former three-night stand, Evelyn, a famous social media influencer. Evie is burnt out and wanting to reconnect with her old self and what she liked about making content before. So she returns to the last place she was happy, Lovelight Farms. She doesn't expect to run into Beckett quite so quickly but when she does it's like no time has passed. Can these two reconnect or will Evie's globe-trotting ways prove too strong of a pull away from Inglewood?

I read the first book in the series because it was on sale and perfect for the holiday season. But as soon as I finished it, I knew I must read In the Weeds immediately. And, guys. This book was even better. Something about the combination of the two mains and the mutual pining and successful integration of social media just really worked. With its gorgeous cover, I might just snag myself a paperback copy...

I first read this one on Kindle Unlimited, but appreciate Berkley sending me a revised copy once it acquired this title! All thoughts and opinions are my own.

5 stars - 10/10

This book reminded me that I do love to think about romance as well as let go and just enjoy it, so I'm very thankful for that!

Also, this is the quickest I've read a book all year and I think there's something to be said for that too.

I think what I love the most about this book is the strong emphasis on both words AND actions being needed to help make a relationship work. Especially between these two people. They're both practical and love to show love through acts of service, but at the end of the day, they need to hear some words of affirmation too. I don't think a lot of romances I read have strong morals of the story like this, and I wish they did! I loved it! Loved the point of view and perspective.

I loved the vibes in Lovelight, but they do not compare to me with the vibes of In the Weeds. A cabin?!?! Are you kidding!?!? Sign me up. And the charm of the small-town vibes is still present here, but I just loved the life Evie and Beckett slowly built for each other. The quiet evenings, the giving back to their community, the flannels on flannels on flannels of it all. When I think of an ideal life for me, I think of something very similar to In the Weeds.

Beckett is hot and Beckett is my #1 book boyfriend of the year so far. I think BK Borison does a phenomenal job in peeling behind the "grumpy" facade of him. Because he isn't grumpy to his core, but instead he has sensory issues so in certain situations he might not be his best self. This is one of my favorite takes on grumpy sunshine because while it might look like that on the surface for both of them, it's actually more nuanced than that. But like, you tell me this book has a capable hot farmer who is practical and a secret soft boi and I say oh so the new love of my life great.

I personally didn't get as much from Evie as I did from Beckett. I did, however, fully appreciate BK Borison's care in showing that Evie loves Lovelight itself and would want to stay not only for Beckett, but for the town and how she feels when she's there. Happiness for her she finds from multiple sources not just a dude, which I love. Also, the beginning of this book is ya know a little bit of convenient writing like she decides to go back to the place where her one night stand lives of course they're going to fall in love, BUT as I said BK Borison does a great job throughout the book showing the reader that she fell in love with the town too!!!

The pond scene f*ck me up forever I love that kinda stuff!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! Give me twenty of them!

Overall this book inspired a ton of passion in reading, which I haven't felt in a VERY long time, so it's definitely right time, right book.

If you want a cozy, comfy, sweet with some solid spice romance series, Lovelight is a more than solid option!!

If you enjoyed Lovelight Farms, there is no doubt you won't love In The Weeds. BK Borison's writing is phenomenal and this book was everything I hoped for. It did take me some time to get into the story. I think it was because I was trying to piece together how the last book ended and connect the timeline with the flashbacks. But once Evie got to the farm and crossed paths with Beckett, I couldn't stop reading. I loved how Evie was searching for her happy and how Beckett was invested in Evie finding this. The supporting cast of characters was great, and I loved seeing Stella and Luka again.

This is a second chance romance about finding your happiness. Beckett is a grumpy farmer and Evelyn is a social media influencer full of sunshine. Set in a small town and full of wonderful characters. I highly suggest reading Lovelight farms first, as it introduces you to this large cast of characters. Otherwise, it could be confusing of who is who. .

What I loved about the book:
- Beckett: I can easily fall for a guy who adopts 4 kittens and a baby duck. Hes also deeply caring and will do anything for the people in his life.
- Eveyln: Super likable female main character
- Small town and beautiful setting on a farm in Maryland.
- I loved the banter between Beckett and all the women in his life, including all of his sisters.
- The quirky characters around town were a fun addition
- I always enjoy when the story is duel perspective

What I didn't love about the book:
- At times I felt there was too much inner diaglog happening. I was looking for more dialog between the characters.
- Although I loved the side characters from the small town, there were so many that I found myself getting confused at times.

Overall, great setting and fun characters. I am looking forward to the next book in this series.

I enjoyed this book even more than the first. I loved the way the weekend they spent together resonated with both Beck and Evelyn, that they couldn't move on from it. I loved how they got to know a deeper side of each other when Evelyn showed up in town to find herself. There were so many cute moments to make me swoon. I adored both of these characters and was happy reading their love story. So happy, I read it in one sitting. If this is how Borison's writing is going to continue to grow from her debut, I'm here for it!

Romance readers: prepare to binge read everything BK Borison has written because she is about to become your new favorite author! I fell head over heels for Beckett and Evie who are just the absolute cutest couple ever. I am normally not a huge fan of celebrity/influencer romances, but this book is the exception to every rule. This soft, beautiful, tenderly written novel tells the story of a one-night stand that comes back to haunt when Evie's job as a travel/small business influencer takes her to Inglewild, where her Maine fling works as head farmer. Beckett is a big, gruff man who has the softest heart in the world. Evie is a bright and sunny woman who is lost right now, and she returns to Inglewild to feel grounded. At its heart, this book is about comfort and new beginnings and love. An amazing book that I cannot recommend enough!!
