This was a lovely, heartwarming novel with some gorgeous characters and romances you’ll be invested in.

Being completely honest, some of the book was a turn off for me - the Outlaws, for example, were just too OTT and unbelievable, definitely the tryhard part of the story. But this aside, I really enjoyed it.

This is a short and sweet read about a cast of adorable characters trying to get their shit together. The writing isn’t my favorite but the setting is so cute that I would round up to 3.5 Thank you to NetGalley for this arc on exchange for my honest opinion.

Ms. Moran does it again. I love everything about this book from the quirky and troubled characters to the lovely and fun day center activities in an old converted barn.

Jessie is tucking tail and returning home practically penniless to stay with her twin brother Isaac and his two roommates until her boyfriend returns from his solo trip abroad. Working for her parents as an activities coordinator for a bunch of unruly senior citizens is challenging, but it’s living with Elliott, the reason she left home so long ago, that is resurrecting her guilt and shame. Struggling with her part in his tragic accident during prom night so many years ago which left him injured she fights to keep her distance while finding unexpected pleasure with her new job at the center. In addition, she makes a deal called the Boys to Men Project with her new socially inept roommates to be their life coach in exchange for a reduction in her rent. Let the laughter begin.

The longer Jessie stays to help her family, friends, and community, the more she wants to stay and make a future. I love that Jessie starts to heal from her past and becomes a part of the town she left so long ago. Her fun and challenging activities for the feisty elderly “Outlaws” are hilarious and rewarding.

The amazing and selfless Elliott is still recovering and learning to live with his injury, and I love that he coaches the under-nines football team filled with an extraordinary group of young boys who push past their physical and mental challenges to enjoy the game. It’s Jessie’s help as an assistant coach that gives him the encouragement and support to see his team play the way they want.

This book is more than the love between Jessie and Elliott. It’s the love of community, the love of family, and loving oneself. It’s about recovery, hope, and creating the life you want.

Once again Ms. Moran gives the reader a lovable, quirky, and enriching assortment of characters of all ages from all walks of life. Read this book, it won’t disappoint.

An absolute delightful and heartwarming read that follows Jessie's journey to find herself back, forgiveness, acceptance, and make peace with the past!

The wholesome characters bond between Jessie, his twin--Isaac--and their long time friends, Arthur and Elliot--whom Jessie shared a past with that she wants to bury herself--as roommates and become the relationship mentor/guru for the boys. The idea of having Jessie to become their mentor on relationships/careers post covid-19 is such a refreshing idea and well executed. As well as Jessie's relationship with her parents that is totally heartwarming. Throughout the series, its so satisfying to see how the characters grows a lot while maintaining their true quirks, thoughts and identity that makes them them, but get better. Though plot-wise I could guessed what's the truth behind and how it going well, how the story rolled to that point has satisfied me because it's just flowing naturally, without exaggerating. I couldn't help myself but become emotional!

The feels when you know that you're reading Beth Moran's writing is when you found many quirky side characters--mostly adult and elderly with their uniqueness and their own rich history that's so hilarious and wholesome at the same time with their antics!. Not to mention, that we got several references from the previous/another book--Because I Love You--makes it feels like more real than ever. Actually I like this one more better, because the writing in overall is so easy to follow and gave the cozy, warm, and vibe. Definitely become a story that feels like home.

This is a beautiful book, I cried, laughed and championed Jessie the whole way through.

Beth always writes beautiful characters who really bury themselves into your heart and become really difficult to let go of. Jessie, Elliot and Isaac are no different and I absolutely adored their story in Always On My Mind.
Jessie is lost and at a huge crossroads in her life. Jobless, homeless, absentee boyfriend and still struggling to come to term with an even from years ago – she finds herself moving back home to live with her brother and his friends whilst she works in the day care centre ran by her parents.
I really felt for Jessie. She had experienced a very traumatic experience at such a young age and felt she couldn’t share it with anyone. My heart completely went out to her and I was rooting for her life to change throughout the book. The guilt form this event had shadowed her whole life and it was heartbreaking to see the effect it had on her.
I adored Elliot, Isaac and Arthur and their home they had created together. It reminded me of student days and really made me chuckle but there was something sweet and naïve about the existence and their games etc. They welcomed Jessie into the fold with ease and really nurtured her journey to a healthier and happier life. I loved the humour and the ways in which Elliot was supported but not coddled or over protected.
Always on my Mind is a joyful book, full of hope and heartwarming goodness and is the perfect uplifting story to completely lose yourself in. It’s simply gorgeous.

This is my second Beth Moran and she is swiftly becoming one of my favourite authors. The characters feel authentic and real and the story feels so relatable. This story is emotional, uplifting and heartwarming in equal measure and I fell in love with this story and its characters. I think we desperately need a Jessie and Elliott Novella - I NEED MORE!!!!

I’ve now reviewed some of Beth Moran’s novels, and enjoyed most of them.

Jessie, Isaac, and his two best friends. Elliot is Jessie’s ex love whose life was changed forever by a terrible accident. Jessie is keeps blaming herself for what happened.Will she be able to move on? Will Elliott love her again?

I was drawn to this by the fact there are twins in the story (I was a twin). The rent discount in exchange for her helping with the ‘Boys to Men’ project was an original idea. The plot was both fun and deep and meaningful and covered serious topics and not-so-serious ones.

A heartwarming and life affirming story. Jessie struggles after a accident involving her brother's best friend and her first love. I loved the feeling of power in this and as a person with a disability I could easily relate. The characters are all lovely and the story develops quickly and easily sucked me in and had me cheering for all the characters. A character driven, fast paced story that I devored in a day. It is one of my favourite romance books written by a talented author. Highly recommend.

Always On My Mind by Beth Moran is a heartwarming tale of family friends and love.

Story Recap:
Jessie swore she would never move back home when she left many years ago when she was only eighteen years old. Due to changes in her circumstances, she moves back home to live with her twin brother Issac and his two best friends. Unfortunately, Elliot, her old love, is one of those roommates. Jessie and Elliot were in love until a tragic accident changed his life forever and Jessie still blames herself.

Jessie gets a deal on her rent when she agrees to help roommates Arthur and Elliot with their social awkwardness and help them grow up into real men. She also gets a job working with her parents at the adult day care centre for seniors. Eventually, Jessie realizes she needs to change herself in order to be open to new opportunities.


My Thoughts:
I love Beth Moran’s books and this most recent addition is no exception. She writes emotional, heartwarming books about love, family, and friendships, that I just love to read.

Jessica and Elliott are both characters I was rooting for throughout the entire book. They are meant to be together, but each has its own issues they must overcome first. But, this book is so much more than Jessica and Elliott, all the side characters are just as compelling as the main love interests.

This is a very emotional read. I was laughing at the witty banter one minute and the next I’m moved to tears along with the characters. I loved being on this roller coaster of emotions while reading Always on My Mind.

Recommendation:
I highly recommend Always On My Mind to anyone who enjoys contemporary fiction. I received a complimentary copy of this book. The opinions expressed in this review are completely my own.

ALWAYS ON MY MIND - BETH MORAN.

I’m a big fan of Beth Moran’s writing. Her books are a reliably good read and always an automatic buy for me.
#AlwaysOnMyMind is another beauty from this clever lady.

It probably won’t come as a surprise when I say that I loved this book.
It kicks off with a touching and powerful prologue , before we are thrown into the main body of the story.

There is a vast mix of characters in this book. It had a lovely sense of inclusivity and it truly felt that everyone belonged.
The older generation are outstanding and lead by example… all be it sometimes a bad one, but they are so much fun and definitely not growing old gracefully.
I want to find my own group of ‘outlaws’ to behave badly with in my dotage.

Jessie is a likeable main character. She has a kind heart and a sensible head.

I really did feel for Elliot. His journey is a tough one. Despite everything, his beautiful soul shines through.

Happily ever afters are more than deserved by so many characters in this book.

#AlwaysOnMyMind is beautifully written, with great humour, touching emotion and some sweet romance tucked in there too.
Beth Moran has written about issues like brain injury, with honestly and knowledge. It’s good to see subjects like this being included.

I felt a lot of emotions while reading this book. It made me tearful (happy and sad tears), it made me hopeful and most of all it made laugh and smile, before leaving me with a lovely warm heart full of happy.

What an amazing book. This made me laugh and cry. It was emotionally moving. All characters were so believable.

Jessie, after losing her job and her boyfriend declaring that he wants to go travelling, without her, finds herself with nowhere to live. The one thing she never wanted to do was to go back home. She realises that unfortunately, this is the only solution, for the time being. Her twin brother invited her to house share with him. She accepted and went to work for her parents as entertainment coordinator for the older generation in their day centre.

When she arrives at her brothers house, she is devastated to find that not only is this not his house, it actually belongs to a person from the past. A person she has never forgotten however did not expect to see or even meet and live in his house. Mixed emotions of love and guilt assail her. Read the book to find out exactly why.
The Harriers is a children’s football team which is made up of some children having physical or learning disabilities. This does not deter Eliot, who is managing them. This was eloquently written with so much love and understanding of their disabilities. I felt all the emotions that Jessie felt. I was shouting out on Eliot’s behalf. Praise for Beth Moran and her sensitivity.

Fun and wonderful - a really good romcom. Among her best. I never miss a Moran! Utterly readable and delightful with characters that are so well defined and articulated.

My Review: An enjoyable and fun read following Twins Isaac and Jessie, we start ten years ago and work our way up to more present days. Jessie and Isaac are each others proms dates, Jessie has a massive crush on Elliot so she doesn't mind as he is her bro's best friend and she quite likes him. Their transport to Prom made me laugh. Things seem to pick up pace until something happens that impacts Elliots memory, which in turn changes the course of action. Jess ends up all over the place until life brings her home and under her brothers roof which she ends up sharing with 3 guys and a dog called Penny. That smelly Multi Cooker seems to be a thing in a fair few households. The story also touches on Special Needs and Epilepsy. Recommended as an entertaining and enjoyable read.

Always On My Mind by Beth Moran is a beautifully written story! I enjoyed everything about this book! The slow burn romance, the reunited lovers trope, friends to lovers trope - everything! Do you ever read a book and it hits you in all the feels? Laughter, swoon, tears, the works! This book definitely does that and more. It will stick with you long after reading. I've read other books by Moran and she always delivers! Highly Recommend!

Another Beth Moran book down. Another Beth Moran book that made me realize why I loved books like *Let It Snow*. It was the way that Beth Moran writes not only her books but her characters that make you just want to read more. That make you want to know what is going to happen next. I loved how Beth Moran makes you feel the emotions that main characters like Jessie are feeling in a book like this.

I loved how there are things like autism represented as in one of the characters sons has autism. I think that it was something that I enjoyed reading about. I think that it was done greatly to where it didnt feel overdone. I did enjoy that this book shined a spotlight on those who might have mental and physical disabilities and show that they can still live a fulfilling life despite having autism, cerebral palsy, etc.

I wasnt the biggest fan of Jessies boyfriend up and kind of leaving her to figure out things on her own. I know that if he didnt then Jessie wouldnt have probably gotten over things that happened in the past and be able to live the life that she deserves. But I am glad that Jessie had people to help and support her through this time when she could find things that made her happy and not because of the fact it made others happy.

I felt like there were parts of myself that I could see in Jessie. Mainly because when she’s around Elliot, she feels guilty about what happened. I think that is because I feel guilty about things that arent my fault and they feel like they are. It is something that I personally dont like about myself and I was glad to see a character that had flaws and had things that they are struggling with that they are trying to overcome.

I think that this was an amazing read and I can not wait for the next Beth Moran book.

1. Oh My Heart - The horrifying accident that this story begins with is only the first thing that gripped my heartstrings. I knew from then on that this was going to be a worthwhile read.

2. Bachelors - Moving in with three bachelors in their twenties does not make for a great situation…especially when one is your twin, one is the love of your teenage life, and the other is a grave hunter!

3. Lives Lived To Fruition - Those Outlaws. Man - that is what I want in the later years of my life. They live without abandon - at least as much as they can - and added such lightheartedness to this story. Even in the loss of life, they are able to help Jessie see that life is worth living.

4. What Makes You Truly Happy - A theme that I found buried within these pages is that you can’t live your life for others. You only have one go around this world and the only way to live it is to find your true happiness. I wish I could help some people who are important to me see the utmost importance in this 💗

5. There’s No Place Like Home - Coming home is often exactly what the heart needs to find its path in life. This held true for me and I don’t regret a day of coming back home.
