I loved this, but would have liked Jessie and Elliott to have more scenes together, both throughout the book and at the end. A lot of action was happening backstage too, we were told about it rather than being shown. Also, there was a bit too much time spent on the football scenes for my liking. Just a few tweaks would have turned this into a five star review for me, but I did really enjoy it and Elliott is lovely. More Elliott please Beth Moran. With thanks to NetGalley for an ARC in exchange for an honest review.

This is a good easy read with fun times along the way. How life can change and how some boys will be boys. Read and enjoy the characters and their lives. Well worth 5 stars.

This read like a hallmark movie and I mean that in the best way. This was so much fun. I loved the Outlaws, and I was really pulling for Elliot!

Based on the synopsis, I wanted to love this book but it was so poorly written that I had to force myself to finish it

This was an absolutely delightful book. Well written, with characters who were fully formed, and so kindly written, I was sorry to get to the end. This is the second Beth Moran book I've read but it definitely won't be my last.

If you like a good heart warming love story, then this is definitely the book for you. Great characters throughout and it touches on lots of different topics such as grief, disability, friendship and its quite emotional the entire way through. Jessie and Elliot have a unique relationship and a love story like no other which was quite refreshing. It was a quick and very easy read which only took me 2 days from cover to cover. I will certainly be looking out for more books by this author.

Thanks to Boldwood Books and NetGalley for allowing me an advanced copy to read in exchange for my honest review. As always, my reviews will also be posted on Amazon, Goodreads and Waterstones and interaction on Facebook and instagram where possible.

I really enjoyed this story. Having read all of Beth Moran's books I must confess I wasn't particularly excited about her latest one, but with this one she's back on my favourite author's list. The story is heart-warming even if a little implausible (at least to me) but this is what we want from fiction: a fabulous set of characters, even the secondary ones - how amazing to meet the two lovely Lavender Ladies again!, lots of laugh, a few very emotional bits and a much needed happily ever after.
Thank you to Boldwood, NetGalley and the author for granting me access to an early copy.

A wonderful story that holds more than romance.
Lots of great characters lives are entwined in this story which gripped me from the first page. This book has so many elements to it: love, relationships, sadness and most of all humour. A great read from start to finish.
Thank you to the publisher and Netgalley for an ARC in return for an honest review. It was an absolute pleasure.

Beth Moran is becoming one of my absolute favourite authors so I was very excited to get stuck into her latest book!

This story centres around Jessie and starts with a flashback to her high school prom, where a horrible accident leaves her love, Elliot, in a critical condition and we don’t know what has happened. In the present day, Jessie has become disconnected from her family, living at the other end of the country, struggling with debt, and finding herself without a home and unsure what is happening with her relationship when her boyfriend loses his business and decides to go travelling for an indeterminate amount of time.

At a loss with how to cope and survive, Jessie finds herself back home, working for her parents’ day care centre and house sharing with her twin brother, Isaac, his friend Arthur, and – unbeknownst to her until she gets there – Elliot!

What Jessie doesn’t realise is that her arrival is more meaningful for everyone around her than she imagined. The three boys have all become insular and need help growing into men and getting back out into the dating game, and her parents have missed her and can’t wait to make up for lost time with their daughter. And the new job that was just meant to help her get out of debt, turns out to be much more than she thought, as she starts to get to know the ‘old’ people who use the centre and bring their social events a bit more up to speed with their interests.

As always with Beth Moran, this story is full of everything you could ever want – lovely characters that you can’t help rooting for, twists and turns of joy, sadness and hilarity, and an ending that makes you feel like all is well in the world! She has such a knack for creating a setting that feels like home, and somewhere you just really want to actually live in! I already can’t wait for the next one!

Another heartfelt but funny book from Beth Moran, every book seems to get better and better. Very well written characters that drew you to them from the off. Multiple books could come from this book because of how well the characters formed and bonded. Thank you netgalley for the advanced copy

Loved this one. The dynamic between the guys and Jess was very natural. The rekindled romance was sweet and the secondary character stories worked out well. Would love to have separate books about Arthur, Elsa, Isaac, and Connie. It’s nice that Ada and May reappeared, I really enjoyed them in Beth Morgan’s other Sherwood Forest set story. The characters at the care center were a hoot. Maybe a story about Wendy and why she’s so gruff is in the cards?

A relaxing read for a soft couch and a cup of tea.

Let me preface this review by saying that I am not one for books that make me *feel* too much; the only feelings I want are of suspense. I mostly stick in the thriller/mystery genre.

But while browsing NetGalley, something about this cover and the description piqued my interest. When I got approved, I took it as a sign that I needed to read this book.

And wow am I glad I did.

"Always On My Mind" follows MC Jessie, who is essentially lost and drowning in the current state of her life. Her boyfriend of 3 years says he needs a change of scenery to reset, just for a few months, and when he returns they can get engaged and plan their life together. Jessie agrees, but is left without a place to live as the one she shared with her boyfriend was no longer an option. Her only choice is to head back home -- a place she has long avoided, ever since the accident.

Jessie's plan to survive home, work and save up for three months, and get back to her boyfriend quickly unravels as she realizes she might actually like, maybe even love, being home. She has a job that excites, family she loves, and housemates she likes so much that she agreed to "coach" them into being suitable partners for the women of their dreams.

But above all, there's Elliot and the feelings that stir up whenever they're together but the ever-lingering feeling of guilt because of his accident 10 years prior.

This was a simply wonderful coming-of-age story. Jessie is somewhat of a mess and as someone in a similar boat, man, was I rooting for her. All of the characters are so incredibly likeable, and you want to see them get their own happy ending. They were all so unique - quirky, endearing, loyal, supportive. And as someone who doesn't care for love stories, I was feeling all of the feels - and I didn't hate it! In fact, I loved it. Every time I had to put the book down, I was eager to pick it up again because I wanted to see how or if Jessie's life came back together or what her next encounter with Elliot would be like.

I think this book is a great read for anyone looking for a feel-good story, but more importantly, anyone who feels stuck in a rut in their current chapter of life. It instills hope to its readers, and has certainly made me want to read the rest of Moran's catalogue.

The only thing that didn't work for me was some of the big moments in the book were told in past tense, so rather than the reader being there while ____ is happening, it was told as "oh and a few days ago this happened". I personally like to be in the moment with the character, but the story itself was so wonderful that it was easy to look past!

Thank you so much to NetGalley and Boldwood Books for the ARC in exchange for an honest review!

This novel was gentle and entertaining. Jessie’s high school sweetheart Elliot is injured on their prom night and Jessie goes away and blames herself for many years. She finally comes back to town to work for her parents and live with her twin brother Isaac. To her shock she finds that the house she is to live in with her brother is owned by, and shared with, her former sweetheart Elliot. This is a nice story that readers of Beth Moran’s previous novels should enjoy. Thanks to Boldwood Books and Netgalley for an ARC of this novel.

I’ve read a few books by Beth now and love how they read.

Growing up in Houghton, Jessie and her twin Isaac were often seen as a group of 3 with Isaac’s best friend Elliot. Until their joint prom night that is…. Many years later and Jessie is heading home. Her boyfriend has gone travelling to “find himself” leaving her homeless and jobless. Tail between her legs, she heads home to work at The Barn, her parents’ business, whilst renting a room from Isaac. But all is not what Jessie is expecting it to be.

I really enjoyed this book and was rooting for Jessie throughout. Would recommend for anyone looking for an enjoyable read.

I really enjoyed this book. All the characters are lovable and I found myself rooting for everyone. Being from Nottingham I loved that it was set in the area with references to Sherwood Forest and Nottingham Forest football club. A highly recommended read.

Absolutely loved this book!

Just when she thinks she's finally grown up and sorted, Jessie's boyfriend throws her a curveball and she's moving back home and in with her twin brother, working for her parents and having to confront some memories she'd rather avoid.

It's an easy read, relatively formulaic but not prescriptive. The characters bare likeable, well rounded and you quickly get drawn in to all of their stories. Moran's writing style is very natural, it's easy to follow and entertaining. I enjoyed this book from start to finish.... One where you actually miss the characters when you've finished reading,!

This was a really nice story of going home and finding your own version of redemption from the things you've done.

There are some very strong characters in here, most of whom have made me giggle with the things they say and do, I can only hope that there is a day care facility like this one available when it comes time for me to need one!

It was so good to revisit Ada and May from Because You Loved Me, that was definitely a nice treat and I really hope we see more of them again in future.

This was a quick easy read, perfect for the summer!

Jessie fell in love with Elliot who is her twin brothers Isaac's best friend. Isaac also loves Jessie. When they finally kiss they decide to keep it a secret from her brother as they don't think he will approve.
On the way home from a party Elliot is involved in a car accident leaving him with a brain injury. Jessie believes it's all her fault and leaves.
Years later due to a big change in circumstances she has to go home where she is offered a room in a shared house with Isaac which will suit her just fine until she finds out Elliot also lives there. Can she learn to accept what happens or will she flee again ?
Loved it

Sweet story of Jessie, who returns to her hometown for work and ends up living with her twin brother and his two housemates, Arthur, the local funeral director and Elliott.

Elliott, Jessie and Jessie’s twin Isaac were the best of friends at school but on the night Jessie and Elliott admit their feelings for each other, Elliott is involved in an accident leaving with a permanent brain injury.

Once Jessie is home, she builds new bonds and rebuilds old ones.

Jessie’s job at ‘The Barn’, a wedding venue that’s run as a community centre for the town’s elderly during the week, becomes more than just a temp role, reminding her of who she is and where she excels.

But Elliott, Elliott is just as wonderful as Jessie remembers but she’s living with an awful guilt that’s holding her back from getting too close to him again….

Sweet but not fluffy, this story deals with some challenging issues of loneliness, disability, discrimination, friendships and finding yourself again,

I enjoyed it, it’s definitely one for a chilly afternoon, curled up in the warm with a brew.

If I have one criticism it’s that there are perhaps too many different threads and they don’t all get the space they deserve.
