I really enjoyed this book as I’ve always been a fan of Beth Morgan’s writing. I love a good return back home story, it was so fun with the dynamic of her moving back in and being surrounded by all the boys including Elliot a special boy to Jessie that has an accident that Jessie feels responsible for and blames herself.

I was so curious to see how there relationship played out and if she would forgive herself and if they would land up together or not, I was not disappointed. It was very well written and the perfect book to curl up with.

I also loved the Boys To Men project as well and without giving to much away how that factored into the book as well.

Another great read from Beth Moran. I will be anxiously awaiting her next book.

This is the first book I’ve read by Beth Moran and it won’t be the last, I thoroughly enjoyed reading Jessie’s story, I found it believed and relatable without being too boring.

After reading two of Beth Moran's previous books, I had high expectations for this one as I really enjoy her style of writing, and it didn't disappoint!

I loved this book - it was one of those that I just couldn't put down! I said after reading Just The Way You Are by the same author that her writing and characters just draw me in immediately, and that her secondary characters are just as interesting as the main ones. I needed to hear how everyone's stories went!

This book follows Jessie, who left home at eighteen after feeling responsible for ruining the life of the boy she loved. Her anguish over the years led to a series of bad decisions as she felt she wasn't allowed to be happy. However, circumstances have led her back home, and she finds herself staying at the house of her teenage sweetheart, Elliot, along with her twin brother Issac and friend Arthur.

Jessie has to try to work out how to live with her guilt whilst seeing Elliot every day, and also to adjust to being home and reuniting with those who love her.

We get to know many people in the village - all individual and fun characters who are all immensely likeable! We also follow Issac and Arthur's journey to love, both completely different but equally as compelling!

Ultimately though, we find out if Jessie can put the past behind her, with the help of her friends and family, and if Elliot can help her overcome her feelings of guilt and allow herself to be happy again.

This second chance romance just made me feel so many emotions! I loved Jessie and Elliot, both individually and together, and the rest of the gang were also brilliant!

Beth Moran manages to get that sense of community right for me, and the focus on characters and their stories means I can't put her books down!

An interesting read with a tragic episode at the chore of the main romantic relationship and unique protagonists, “Always on my Mind”, by Beth Moran (Boldwood Books), has some funny moments mostly due to its different, quirky characters.
The story of Jessica, the story narrator, and Elliot, is equally beautiful and tragic. I loved them both as characters and I wish we’d have more scenes with them together.
Guilt-ridden Jessie is a mess who’s so radically unaware of her self-worth and kindness. I liked how she was propelling so much change for the better around her, being cherished and loved by all, and still so clueless about it.
Elliot is such a wonderful hero. The way he dealt with his issues was … poignant and matter-of-fact. I loved his thoughtfulness, sense of fairness and how he fights so fiercely for the underdog.
The secondary characters are diversely unique and originate several comedic episodes. Jessie’s brother, Isaac, and Arthur’s initial ineptness in the dating field was cute.
I also liked the little players and the Outlaws and their crazy antics.
I appreciated the fact these characters are affectionate and enjoy spending time with each other, and aren’t afraid of showing fondness and love.
I also liked the slow revelation of Elliot’s issues through Jessie’s unreliable point of view.
I felt a bit frustrated in the end because I wanted more about Elliot and more interaction between him and Jessie and less with the other characters.
I also felt that they could have talked earlier in the story.

What a story. Jessie thought she had made a mistake at 18 and had been running ever since. She was a twin. She moved back after she lost her job and her boyfriend . Her parents helped with a job, that made you laugh and cry about old age and health and safety gone mad at times. She also helped her brother and two friends sort their home and love lives out. I won’t say more on that.,.There was an all inclusive 9 and under football team. It is a great read and made you think about how we treat people . I loved it

A real heart warming read,wonderful to get to know and love characters,great setting,good dialogue and a great story all made this a refreshing read for me,also having had a brain injury ai could relate really well to the characters feelings and description of this,all in all a tonic of a read

I LOVED this book so much! This was such a cute heartwarming book, I couldn’t stop smiling while reading it. This book features Jesse as she tries to re-find her way in life after her boyfriend embarks on a trip to find himself, and Elliot (Jesse’s twin brothers best friend and her high school crush) as he figures out how to manage life with a traumatic brain injury. A traumatic brain injury that Jesse feels responsible for. Jesse finds herself a tenant in Elliot’s house and has to face seeing him everyday. Though this is just a small price she has to pay to work her dream job as an activities coordinator at her parent’s elderly day center.

I highly recommend this book to anyone wanting a book that will make them smile. I couldn’t stop rooting for all the characters. 5/5 stars! I wish it had been even longer!

This was a warm and uplifting read featuring Jessie, whose life was unsettled after her brother Isaac’s friend Elliot suffered a devastating accident when they were 18 which she has blamed herself for since. She spiralled for many years but a three year long relationship with Seb settled her down until his business was destroyed by covid and he decided to go travelling without her leaving her rootless once more. Left with no choice but to return to her home village where her parents have offered her a job working with the outlandish elderly locals at their day centre debt ridden Jessie has no choice but to move in with Isaac and two of his friend including, much to her shock, Elliot.

There’s some fantastic characters in this, not just the housemates and the women two of them hope to impress but the madcap older ones too which includes a couple of characters from Beth’s previous book. The storyline is simple but works so well with the eclectic mix of characters as well as giving you plenty of inspiration of how to grow old disgracefully! This is very thoughtful but heartwarming with memorable characters and plenty of fun. 9/10

Wow! This is such an incredibly gorgeous read and I instantly fell in love with it. Jessie is still punishing herself for her involvement in an accident that would change Elliott's life forever. A series of events means Jessie finds herself living with Isaac, Elliott and Arthur and is tasked with turning their lives around. The book was every bit as wonderful as I thought it sounded.
Firstly, Moran's characters are exquisite, I adored all of them and loved their quirks and eccentricities. There is a real mixture of personalities and I loved getting to know all of them and reading about their individual stories. Then the plot, which what more can I say than it is engaging, humorous, emotional and uplifting. This is a gorgeous story full of hope, forgiveness and love. I raced through reading this and promise you that you will not regret picking this book up.
