An enjoyable collection of optimistic webcomics and blob characters going through assorted social situations.

More self-help than comic. This book is at times adorable and at times insightful. Kudos to the author for making these two emotions stand together without overpowering each other.

This was a delightful exploration of the complexities of human connection. Through her charming illustrations and witty narrative, Evans reminds us that it's perfectly normal to have someone constantly on your mind, as long as it's not in a bizarre or uncomfortable manner. This lighthearted and relatable book is a delightful read for anyone who has experienced the rollercoaster of emotions that come with thoughts of a special someone.

When I started reading this book I was having a bad day, but the positive messages and overall messages of this comic made me felt better instantly. I felt like I was being spoken to directly and felt seen, a rare thing to find in a random comic. It's one of those books you can pick up randomly to any page for a pick me up and I'll be thinking about this one for awhile.

Beth Evans has a great mind and I love her comics. There are so many short scenes that I read with this story that I thought, "Well, this is me. The feelings are real and there!".

I enjoyed the read and loved the telling of what she has gone through from panic attacks to how strong she is in the face of obstacles and the world.

This is a 5☆.
It's the best self-help book I have ever read. I love this book more than every book I have read. This is a perfect self-help book. When a person needs someone to tell them they've got this, you can do this, but unfortunately have no one, this book is going to tell you and cheer you. It will make you feel like you're not alone. This book is so therapeutic. It's going to help you deal with whatever you are dealing with in your life. This book is like a cheerleader. It will cheer you up.
Beth Evans did such a great job. I am looking forward to buying this one whenever the hardcover will be available♡

Thanks, NetGalley for the e-ARC of this book. This will not affect my review.

This was a pretty good graphic novel to read. It wasn’t what I expected it to be, but that was not a bad thing. Each strip took a look at different issues and assured the reader it was going to be okay. Most people will have a good time reading this graphic novel.

“Thinking of You (but not like in a weird creepy way): A Comic Collection“ by Beth Evans is a really uplifting series of comics with one goal in mind: to make the reader feel seen and virtually hugged.

Told with a series of blob artwork, which is pretty endearing, the author breaks the book up into sections based on going through anxiety, hard times, stress, etc. The message is pretty clear: you’ve got this. Reading it over and over felt like an affirmation from a friend.

This would be a great gift to get somebody who is struggling, and just needs a kind word. The tone and affirmations of this book can make a difference in somebody’s life. I really enjoyed it.

🌱THE EXCELLENT
~ Beth Evans made it!
~ The kind of motivational quotes & art I can stand with 🤣
~ Lots & lots of truth
~ Lovely section chapters & messages

🦖 A refreshing set of quotes, observations and words of care ‘surrounded’ by truly adorable art by Beth Evans. There are reminders of how great you are, encouragements not to give up, words of care after the loss of a loved one and simple hugs from cute but slightly weird-looking characters that just make you smile.

This is not really a book, but a collection of quotes. I am not a big fan of motivational messages myself, although I can see their use and advantage.
The art is cute, but did not interest me in the way I hoped. I always try out graphic novels, because I enjoy most of them immensely. This particular topic was not for me, but I think most others would find this a good gift!
It is not a large volume, and I cannot really elaborate further than the clear title does.

Book 81 of 200 ~ 2023

🌟🌟🌟🌟

I wish I had this a year ago when I was feeling really blue but better late than never.

I feel this should be picked up whenever you feel down but in bite sizes. The illustrations are adorbs and the messages are so like a warm hug you need to lift your spirits.

Reading it at one go felt a bit much but stopping and reading throughout the day made it better.

Love it!

Unfortunately this book just did not do it for me - and the humour part was not present at all. I am all for comics with relatable scenarios regarding mental health or adulthood, and those are usually funny while still being true and relatable and uplifting in a way. Not this collection.

This collection is just a bunch of cliche positivity from the internet, but when it just stops to that... well, it just doesn't feel genuine. The art is very simplistic too and I usually wouldn't mind that if there was more to an illustration, but unfortunately this book is lackign art-wise and message-wise.

Thank you for the arc!
This was such an enjoyable experience!!! I don't usually reach for self help books or anything like that but this was so lovely. The adorable illustrations gave me so much serotonin!!! The only issue is I think it did get a bit repetitive, I think this would be a read one page a day kind of book! I think this be such a great gift for a friend or family member who needs a pick me up :]

This is a comic collection of short panel daily affirmations. This is another one of those where I think as one collection the book loses half of its meaning and is much better read a panel a day. It’s not so much funny as endearing with how the characters are reminded of each other through the day or how they let them know I’m thinking of them or lets them know that it’s OK to be grumpy because they are loved anyway. Overall, I think this is well done but I also think it’s too much of a good thing. I would rather read this in a daily comic then in a collection.

Thinking of You (but not like in a weird and creepy way) is a cute and uplifting graphic novel! It felt a little simplistic and repetitive at times, but I can see how it would be helpful for those going through a difficult time.
