I have read all of Ruth Ware. I enjoy most of her books- some more hit or miss than others. I wouldn't consider this one my favorite, but it was a fun wild ride. Ware usually writes slow burner stories that have complex storylines. This basically had one storyline from one character's POV without much complexity. We actually never learn who the killer is at the end and the author emphasizes that the WHO isn't important but the WHY. You have to suspend your belief a bit with the why, but we do get a conclusion. Just not as satisfying as past Ware novels. I overall recommend the book- it is fast paced and you can fly through it. Just know going in that it differs from her normal style of writing.

I am a huge Ruth Ware fan and have read every single one of her books. I was so excited and fortunate enough to receive an ARC of Zero Days. I couldn’t wait to dive in! While it had the normal twists and turns from Ware’s previous writings this book left me with wanting more. Still a great read that I will recommend to others!

Woah. I FLEW through this book. It has been a minute since I have read a book that was that fast paced and that anxiety inducing. What a fabulous and realistic story! I recommend going in blind because I did and it made each twist all the more surprising.

Ruth Ware is an auto-buy author for me and this book just reinforces why. This book was written so well I could swear I just watched a movie. What a ride!

Lately I have been kind of let down by her books. The IT girl felt too predictable for me. This was the same. I have just felt mediocre about them. The woman in cabin 10 is one of my favorite books. Maybe it's just something that cannot be replicated. i will still keep reading her books and hoping for another woman in cabin feeling.

Ruth Ware never fails to keep me on the edge of my seat and this book did not disappoint. I loved that she went a similar direction as she did with "One By One" utilizing technology for this thriller. The story follows a couple who help improve the security of companies until one day, our main character Jack comes home to find her husband dead. This triggers Jack to question who can she trust as she goes on the run to find out who killed her husband and why. The book is heartbreaking at times as Jack gives up hope, leans on the memory of her husband to get her through, and pushes through challenges due to her drive to prove her innocence. Another great book from Ware and, as always, I'm excited to see what she write next.

I would like to thank NetGalley and Simon & Schuster Publishing for the eARC of this book. I initially received and read this book before it came out, but my life got super complicated and it took me a hot minute to be able to sit down and finish my review (sorry).

First off, I love Ruth Ware and have read most of her books. Zero Days is not a typical Ruth Ware book, as in, it’s not a locked-room style mystery. I would actually consider it more of a thriller, with definite Mission Impossible or Oceans 11 vibes, with a little The Fugitive mixed in.

I really liked the book. The plot was good, and the pacing was very fast, and the characters were very likeable. Jack and Gabe, the main characters are “penetration specialists” (I honestly didn’t know that was a real thing) trying to break into security systems to test their strength. Except it goes very badly. There was a lot of action and a twisty plot, and it kept me engaged the whole time.

I read a lot of horror, mysteries, and thrillers and I definitely enjoyed the genre switch-up by Ware. I wouldn’t say it’s my favorite of her books, but it was definitely good! And book club worthy!

Jack and Gabe have a company that finds security weaknesses for companies. Gabe finds the tech weaknesses and Jack finds the physical weaknesses. One night things don't go as planned and Jack is arrested. When her identity is finally verified it is late and she is distracted and gets lost heading home. She arrives to find Gabe dead at his computer. As if things can't get worse the police begin to suspect that she killed him. She didn't do it and has to find a way to prove it. The only way is to walk away from the police but this puts a target on her back. The more she finds the more confused she is. Who did this? Who can she trust? Will she survive long enough to figure it out?

Ruth Ware, Ruth Ware! I either LOVE her books or they are “ehhh”.

• There was a lot of fun and interesting parts to this book but I’m personally not a fan of the “on the run thrillers/suspense”. So take my review for what it is!

• I loved Jack’s job. That was so interesting and unique and her “set of skills”. Such a different concept

• There is sooo much technology written in this book that I think would interest a lot of people.

• I didn’t love the whole “on the run” and her journey through that. I am just not a huge fan of that type of plot so I didn’t find it super entertaining.

• overall it was a nice read and I will always read Ruth Ware!!

I typically like Ruth Ware novels and appreciate her writing style and ability to tell a good mystery. This one differs that some of the another books I’ve read by her and although I still liked this novel, I took off a star for predictability. I like good twists and turns to be sure, so although I enjoyed reading this, I want to be more surprised at the ending.

This book is gives “Mission Impossible” vibes, full of action and thrills that will get your heart pumping. I found myself trying to read faster at times to get through some intense moments…lol. This was an interesting read overall minus me figuring it out, but if you like action packed novels, this one will do the trick.

Ruth Ware is a skilled writer who always keeps my attention. Her pacing is spot on. Zero Days kept me engaged from the first page with its complex plot and characters.

Another great ride from Ruth Ware. This time it was much more action and I felt so sad along with the protagonist.

A security tester finds her husband dead and her the primary suspect and will go to amazing lengths to find those responsible and bring them to justice.

So much heart and such a strong set of characters. I love that this book lets you feel the love the main character has for her husband and her family, it's so raw and fulfilling to the story.

I thought that Jack was a very strong character who was very resourceful and determined to find the killer. The story didn’t hold my interest but that was a personal thing not being interested in techno security. This one was just ok for me. 2.5 stars.

I just want to start by saying I loved Jack's character. She was fierce, determined, and didn't take any crap from anyone. Add her crazy amount of resilience and you have the makings for an extremely strong female lead. While this book was different than what I expected, I found myself rooting for Jack, even as I was appalled by her crazy choices. A quick, easy read that would be a perfect read any time of the year.

Ruth Ware is one of my favorite authors. Her books are always suspenseful and they keep me engaged throughout the story. This one felt a bit different than her usual books, but I stilled really enjoyed it. It took me a chapter or so to figure out what was going on with the main character and her husband do for a living. At first it didn't capture me, but I kept going and got sucked into the story. I really enjoyed it. Highly recommend if you like Ruth Ware or similar authors!

There are few authors who I can say I've loved every single thing they've written...but Ruth Ware is one of them. What a fun twist on the Mr. & Mrs. Smith trope!

Jack and her husband Gabe are "pen" testers, hired by companies to break into buildings and/or hack into security systems to test how secure their company actually is. But, as she's leaving a building, Jack is arrested, detained, released a few hours later, only to arrive home and find her husband dead...murdered...and she is the prime suspect. This was a fast paced and exciting novel, but the clues to who the "bad guy" is were a little too obvious for me. I wanted to be a bit more surprised.

I loved this book! I will definitely recommend it. Thanks so much to NetGalley and the publisher for the ARC.

The perfect thriller. Jack and her husband Gabe were really good at testing a business’ security. Jack was experienced at getting through secured areas. Jack not only was good at picking locks but she was an expert at getting in anywhere. Gabe was an expert of hacking into computers. He was the master hacker and experienced at coding. They both tested security for businesses. Jack came home one day and found Gabe murdered in a horrible way. It is now her mission to find out why Gabe was murdered and who had done it. Zero Days was just ok for me. There was suspense and action but not enough twists to keep me interested. I am normally a fast reader of this genre and I just struggled here. It was fine, good, ok but not great. Thanks to NetGalley and the publisher for the ARC
